Chapter 8

Fractured Soul (Hiatus)

I wanted to get this done tonight because tomorrow... or I suppose later today, I start my second semester in college so idk how much time I'll have to edit now (If this is posted later it's because Sunshiner21 is sick and I only post when I get the go ahead from her sooo....). But I'll be sure to make it top priority after school work and actual work. Anyways, we hope you enjoy :D

Well this is like the earliest I've posted anything before lol. Have fun at school Hawkelion, I'm just gonna get to writing again :D Thank you all of the readers! You have no idea how awesome you are! Sorry about this chapter nothing overly exciting really happens... Well except the Soosica moments.. Anyways I'm off to Narnia! (I'm clearly delusional from being sick so ignore me)

@Rainedrop: Yeah we don't blame her either lol. I hated to do that to Sooyoung. Like I said there is going to be some Soosica moments but maybe not a lot until later.. Thank you once again for reading :D

@jaein9: I totally replied already but o well lol. Um Taeyeon does have the same powers as both Sooyoung and Tiffany, they just arn't as extreme. Taeyeon does have powers those 2 don't but we won't get into them until later... anyways thank you for reading :D

@Lillianaaa: We're glad you like it! Um indeed it would be cool buuut that would also be a LOT of trouble to deal with lol sorry. Anyways thank you also for reading :D

@Broken_immortality: Yes you are correct buut like I said that won't be discussed more until later, sorry about that. And I felt like this chapter was getting too serious soo i had to add Fany's failed attempt to pick up the trash can xD I'm glad you liked it lol.

The three women walked to Taeyeon's house in silence. When they arrived, Sooyoung entered looking around.

"So, this is where you live?" she asked. Taeyeon sat down on the couch, nodding her head at the tall woman who continued to look around the living room. Tiffany plopped down next to Taeyeon and grabbed her hand without warning, intertwining her fingers with the other woman. Taeyeon ripped her hand away, glaring at the younger woman.

"What have I told you time and time again?" Taeyeon growled. Sooyoung quirked an eyebrow as she walked around to the front of the couch, eyeing them then turning her attention back to the building.

"What is with you two? Is there something going on that I should know about?" Sooyoung asked as she approached a closed door near the hallway.

"NO! There's not, she's just really annoying." Taeyeon yelled as sprung up and ran after Sooyoung.

"What's this ro-" Sooyoung began to ask, but was cut off by Taeyeon standing in front of the door before her hand could reach the doorknob.

"This room is off limits. Get away from the door." Taeyeon said sternly, looking up at the taller woman. Sooyoung gave her a questioning look but huffed and shrugged it off, walking back to where Tiffany was.

"So, can I like sleep now?" Sooyoung asked, her tone still agitated though she seemed to have for the most part, calmed down She looked back at Taeyeon who had by now reentered the room.

"Why are asking me?" Taeyeon asked, returning the stare Sooyoung was giving her.

“It’s your body, if you want to go to bed, go to bed.” Taeyeon continued. Sooyoung scoffed.

"You realize I came here without any luggage? I have nothing to sleep in." Sooyoung said sitting down on the couch as far from Tiffany as she could be without falling off the edge of the piece of furniture.

"Oh, right. Um… we'll go get some of your things tomorrow. As for tonight, you c-" Taeyeon was cut off by Tiffany.

"You can borrow an extra pair of my sweats. They might not fit you perfectly, but they should do for a night." she said smiling over to Sooyoung.

"Thanks, I guess. I'm gonna go then." Sooyoung muttered, walking to towards the bedroom door.

"I'll be there soon, Sooyoung!” Tiffany yelled after the younger woman. Sooyoung rolled her eyes.

“Whatever.” she mumbled under her breath.

The next morning, Sooyoung awoke to noises coming from the kitchen. She looked over to see Tiffany still sleeping next to her. She quietly stood up and walked out the door. She found the sources of the noise to be Taeyeon in the kitchen.

"Taeyeon, what are you doing?" Sooyoung asked as she approached the older woman. Taeyeon looked up from what she had previously been concentrating on, eyeing Sooyoung as the younger woman circled her.

"Making breakfast? What does it look like?" Taeyeon answered bluntly, dumping a large scoop of scrambled eggs onto a plate. Sooyoung’s eyes sparkled as she eyed the plate, her eyes growing wide.

"Regular food?" she asked, her eyes never leaving the plate. Taeyeon chuckled.

"Yes, regular food. I made you a plate." she said handing the plate she had been putting food on to Sooyoung. Sooyoung didn't question her, instead she found a fork near her and began to shovel food into like she hadn’t eaten in years.

"Sooyoung, I need you to do something for me." Taeyeon said as she watched her eat, or rather, inhale her food.

"Why should I do anything for you?" Sooyoung asked venomously, looking up from her plate. Feeding her may have made her happy but it didn’t take away how betrayed and angry she felt with this woman.

“It benefits you more than me. Otherwise I will not allow you to exit this house.” Taeyeon warned. Sooyoung grunted.

“Fine, what is it?” Sooyoung asked.

"Concentrate, and make your eyes normal." Taeyeon said, watching the woman. Sooyoung gave her a questioning look, but didn’t actually ask any questions. Without hesitation, she forced her blood red eyes back into their original deep brown. Taeyeon smiled.

"Much better." she said as a noise came from the hallway.

"Well, sounds like Fany's awake." Sooyoung said as she looked back to her plate.

"Good morning Sooyoung!" Tiffany said brightly as she walked into the kitchen with a bright smile. She walked behind Taeyeon, and before the woman could do or say anything, she wrapped her arms around Taeyeon’s middle, giving her a back hug and resting her chin on Taeyeon's shoulder. Taeyeon froze in her spot staring straight ahead with her eyes wide open.

"Good morning Taetae." Tiffany whispered in the shorter woman’s ear before turning her face to Taeyeon's and slightly kissing her cheek. Sooyoung fell forward in her chair,  choking on the food she had been eating. Taeyeon's eye twitched before she spun around, flipping the woman behind her so she landed harshly on her back.

"Ow! Ta-" Tiffany whined, but was cut off by Taeyeon.

"If you EVER do that again, I will kill you. Immediately. Are we clear about that?" Taeyeon snarled as she glared at the younger woman on the ground beneath her. Tiffany nodded, staying quiet.

"Good. Now get up. We hav-" Taeyeon's words were cut short by a knocking at her front door. Sooyoung stood up from her plate and went to answer it, with Taeyeon following close behind. When Sooyoung opened the door, she was surprised to find a very distraught and confused looking Jessica, who was looking behind her to check the house number to see if it was correct. When she turned and saw Sooyoung, she practically tackled the younger woman, wrapping her in a tight hug.

"You can’t just call me, tell me you’re moving out, and then not explain yourself!" Jessica insisted, releasing the younger woman from the hug, instead opting to give her a light smack on the arm.

"Sooyoung, we really have to talk about this. Could I… come in, maybe?" she asked, looking past Sooyoung to Taeyeon who had been watching the entire interaction. Taeyeon starred back, nodding with a questioning look. Jessica took a step inside, looking around.

"You’re staying here?" Jessica said looking back to Sooyoung. Taeyeon shot a glare to the younger woman.

"What's that supposed to mean? What’s wrong with it?!" Taeyeon shot back. Jessica turned to face her.

"Oh! N-nothing at all! I didn't mean that offensively..." Jessica said lowering her head. Taeyeon snorted, before turning and heading back into the kitchen to clean up the dirtied stove. Jessica turned her attention back to the taller woman who starred at Jessica silently.

"Sooyoung… could we go somewhere a little more private to talk? Like your room or something?" Jessica asked. Tiffany walked out of the kitchen laughing at Jessica's comment.

"Her room? HA! I wish we got our own rooms. Maybe if Taetae would clean out her junk from that ‘spare bedroom’ no one’s allowed in we'd all have a room." she said as she walked past them, plopping down on the couch.

"Tiff? You’re staying here too?" Jessica asked, bewildered as she eyed the younger woman. Tiffany smiled and nodded.

"Do you all sleep in the living room or something?" Jessica asked, curious.

"No only Taetae sleeps in the living room. Sooyoung and I have the bedroom." Tiffany said, turning her attention to her cuticles suddenly with a smirk.

“Wait. What?” Jessica asked. Tiffany’s slight smirk grew, knewing she’d get this kind of reaction.

“We share the bedroom. There’s only one bed, I mean what do you want us to do, sleep on the floor?” Tiffany asked. Jessica was suddenly seething.

“I do if it means protecting Sooyoungie’s innocence you… you…!” Jessica struggled for an appropriate word to insult Tiffany with, but her words failed her and she ended up trailing off. Tiffany began to laugh.

“Jess, we’re only sharing a bed, calm down. I would never hurt ‘Sooyoungie’s innocence’ as you say.” Tiffany said. Jessica harrumphed, turning away from the brunette.

"You better watch yourself, Fany. Anyways, if you'll excuse us I need to have a word with Sooyoung." Jessica growled, pulling Sooyoung forcefully by the arm into the bedroom. Once they were inside, she slammed the door behind her, ignoring the loud peals of laughter coming from Tiffany now. She turned her attention to the tall brunette who stood there still very silent.

"Sooyoung, do you feel okay? You look pale and haven't said anything to me since I got here." Jessica asked the woman. Sooyoung starred at her, the look in her eyes a bit hallow.

"Sica, I'm fine, I swear." Sooyoung said giving the older woman a reassuring smile. Jessica still pouted.

“Okay, but why are you moving out?” Jessica pressed. Sooyoung sighed.

“It’s not going to be for long, Sica. Taeyeon requested I move in with her for a bit, so I’m just fulfilling her request for a little while.” Sooyoung said. It wasn’t entirely a lie, just not telling all of the truth. Jessica let out a sigh of relief.

"Thank god, I thought you were mad at me or something." Jessica said, standing up.

“No, of course not. Nothing you do could make me want to move out permanently.” Sooyoung reassured, earning her a soft smile from the older woman.

"I have to get going now. This time if I call you, please answer your phone." Jessica said teasingly, knocking Sooyoung lightly in the head.

"Do you want me to walk with you?" Sooyoung asked standing up as well.

"No, you don't have to, I'll be fine. You’re the one I'm worried about. Please remember I'm here for you. If there's anything you want to tell me, I'm all ears." Jessica said smiling as she walked to the door.

"Thanks Sica. I’ll at least take you to the front door." Sooyoung insisted, smiling. As they walked towards the door they passed by Taeyeon who seemed to be watching them walk by. Jessica stopped to give Sooyoung a hug goodbye when she spotted Taeyeon's watching eyes trained on the tall woman’s backside.

"Byuntaeng." she growled, sending an icy glare towards Taeyeon. The woman redirected her gaze immediately.

“I'll see you at practice tomorrow, right Sooyoungie?" Jessica asked, looking away from Taeyeon and back to Sooyoung.

"Why wouldn't I be there?" Sooyoung asked.

"I was just making sure. See you tomorrow then." Jessica said as she gave Sooyoung a yet another hug before turning on her heal and leaving. Sooyoung closed the door and walked into the living room where Taeyeon and Tiffany sat with a heavy sigh.

"I'm proud of you Sooyoung." Taeyeon said standing up and walking to the younger woman.

"Um… why?" Sooyoung asked, sitting down next to Tiffany.

"You didn't try and kill her." Taeyeon said with a knowing smile. Sooyoung's eyes widened.

"Why would you think I'd kill Sica?" she asked, her voice now full of terror and concern.

"No reason." Taeyeon said with a smirk as she walked back into the kitchen leaving a bewildered Sooyoung.
