She looked at him and smiled. He grinned back. As she buried herself in his embrace, she closed her eyes. His scent, his touches were all still here. But sooner or later, it will be all gone. Without warning, tears cascade down to her cheeks. His shirt suddenly felt a bit of dampness. He looked up, she was crying.
“Shh,” he pressed his lips against hers and embraces her tightly, her hair.
“Promise me one thing,” she wiped away the tear with the back of her hand but it still keeps falling uncontrollably. “If I were about to die and on that day, it happens that my heart can save someone’s’—.”
“No,” he cuts her off. “You’re not going to die.” He stared at her – those dark brown mesmerizing eyes, after today she no longer could see it anymore.
She bit her lips in misery as she prided herself to smile. “Thank you…”

It was chaos, people were running around in a small room, wearing mask, white uniform, covering themselves all up till the head and trying to save this only girl who is dying.
“Come on, come on!”
“To much blood is being lost Doctor Lee, we need to hurry.”

“Doctor Tan! She stopped breathing, her heart –.”
“Quick, try to retrieve her!”
“One two three, please save her…”

“She’s not going to make it,”
“She will.”
“Can’t you see she’s been in there for the whole bloody day and still not coming out?”
“She will.”
“Hyung!”
“I said she will! She promised me, she is not going to die! So I’m not going to sign any freaking paper to reduce her suffering or whatever so ever because she will come out of the operation room alive!”
There was a long silence until Doctor Lee came walking out bathed in sweat. They rushed towards him and looked at him.
“How is she?” Doctor Lee sighed and shook his head.
“How is she?!”
“She’s dead, Hyung, she’s dead.”
“I’m asking Doctor Lee, how is she Doctor Lee?”
“Hyung –.”
Without warning, Doctor Lee was pinned against a nearby wall and was being grabbed by the collar of his shirt. He glared at Doctor Lee and asked once again. “Hyung!”

“Her condition is stable right now but she still needs to be kept in the hospital for observations.”
“Oh my god, thank you thank you.” She bit her lips to refrain herself from crying even more – the tears of joy, finally.
…her daughter is saved!
