(Yuri POV)

It’s first day of school once again and I am ever so excited. Of course, being the campus’ IT GIRL really has its perks. I do not only get to exchange kisses with the school’s hottest stud, I also get treated like a queen. If an ordinary person, let’s say someone who looks like Jessica Alba *muahaha*, were to describe me, she would surely run out of positive words. I mean, who wouldn’t? I am at the closest to perfect anyone could ever be and I’m not even a celebrity.

Well, at least not officially.

On the other hand

 Kriiiiiiiing! Kriiiiiiiiiing! Kriiiiiiiing! Kriiiiiiiiiing!

The alarm clock sitting on the bedside table has been ringing nonstop but the person on the bed seems to have no plans of waking up at all. It is the first day of her second year in college and she’d rather die than get a glimpse of that hell that everyone mistakenly sees as their university. Her left hand was only a few inches away from that noisemaker—ready to throw it out the window, when the door of her room suddenly opened and then closed with a loud bang. Different from the thunderous sound that came from the banging of the door, the voice that followed it was rather calm.

“Dara-ah…you wouldn’t want to be late on the first day of school.”

She did not even need to open her eyes to see who that person was, for she can recognize that husky and often frightening voice even in her alternate universe. Any average person would find that voice quite pleasant to the ears but for Dara, it was the other way around. She hates hearing the voice of her older brother and especially so when he is trying to sound calm. Before he can even utter another word, Dara—with all the energy she could muster, stood up from her bed.

“Okay, okay. Not another word, monster.”

She said those words with eyes closed so she was not able to see her brother’s face almost transformed into distortion because of anger. She also failed to prepare herself for another five minutes of UNNECCESSARY scolding from the person who has been acting like a scarier version of her father for almost six years now.

“YOU MUTT!!!!!!!!!! Do you have any idea how long I’ve been knocking on your door? I was knocking so hard that I almost broke it! I’ve been shouting my lungs out for hours and you got up just now? Your alarm clock is useless! Blah blah blah blah…”

SeungHyun continued to nag at Dara for the love of God that she had to literally cover both her ears with two huge pillows. She knows this annoys him terribly so she expected him to finally stop using his mouth and calling her derogatory names. All Dara wanted was for her SeungHyun oppa to stop shouting but what she got for her act was rather different from what she hoped for.

He took a deep breath and said these words with undeniably real calmness.

“Dara-ah…you’re transferring schools.”

Her brother is quite the actor so she refused to believe his last words even when the look on his face suggested nothing but sincerity. Normal people in her position would have jumped for joy after hearing those words but nothing seemed to register in Dara’s occupied mind. “He can’t be serious, right? It was our dead father’s wish to have us graduate from his beloved alma mater. We promised and we can’t break it just like that.”

“Dara, I know what you’re thinking. It breaks my heart to not fulfill our pro—”. A snort from Dara interrupted SeungHyun from his dramatic monologue. His face turned dark for a few seconds but he quickly recovered the patience he tried so hard to gather. This always seems to happen when he's dealing with his sister. If another person has done that to him, he would surely be suffering from a bloody face right now even if that person is a girl...but it’s his sister we are talking about here. With Dara, it's always different.

“Oppa, c’mon. Spill the beans. No need to be all dramatic here.”

Another deep breath escaped SeungHyun’s mouth before he was able to think of a decent reply to his ever curious dongsaeng.

“Do you really think I’ll let you get bullied by all those s in your university? So much for being the Catholic University of Korea. I’m transferring you to K’ARTS.”

“EEEEEEEHHHHH? ARTS? You’re kidding, right? I thought you wanted me to become a doctor just like Dad?”

“Yes, I kind of hoped for that to happen but I also know that you’ve always wanted to act. This is your chance, kiddo.”

He said those words with a smile she seldom sees that she immediately almost hugged her brother. He was faster though, so all Dara could do was declare her love for him the minute he exited her room.

“OPPA, SARANGHAE!!!!”
