The first thing I did when I went to the mall was take my sister to her favorite toy store. What else could a big brother do on his little sister’s birthday? She was turning five years old and as the terrible brother I am, I forgot to buy her a gift. The minute she walked into that store, she let go of my hand and held her small hands to her cheeks, enthralled by all the toys and colors surrounding her.

“Waaah- so pretty!”  she sighed. I laughed and picked her up, carrying her on my shoulders. She pointed to all of the toys that she wanted to see, and carried her closer to each and every one. I loved seeing her so happy, it brings joy to myself.

After twenty minutes of being in the store, she finally settled on a life size, pink Domo doll as the number one toy that she wanted. I bought it for her, and held her hand as we walked out of the store.

When I walked outside, the first thing I saw was a boy covering the eyes of the girl in front of him. She was smiling, and trying to guess where he was taking her. I stopped for a minute to watch them. They looked so happy. I wonder when I would be able to have such a cute relationship like that one. I looked down to my little sister who was trying to fight her way out of my hand. I tilted my head.
