You and Chen have been best friends for, well, ever. The two of you have been inseparable for as long as either of you could remember, the Kims becoming like your second family.

Throughout school he's gotten his fair share of confessions in basically every way possible, elementary to even university now. To be honest, you thought it was hilarious. Not that he was getting confessions or that the girls were funny, no. Chen's reaction was priceless every time. Ah, but, little did those girls know that he wasn't one to just date just to date. Definitely not; he was too deep of a person (despite his dorky personality) to do that. He’d only date to marry.

So, each girl would get turned down until he was certain he’d found a girl he was dead set on marrying, or consider marrying. Which is why, as that little ten year old girl, you didn’t tell him about the small crush you had on him. But, that was a long time ago. A cute “puppy love” crush that’s long behind you.

That is of course, until now.

Looks like old things resurface all the time no matter how long you try to suppress them. Just like your fear of storms. It was worse than ever, eating away at you like the “puppy love” that refuses to stop growing into that “something more” you’re trying desperately to avoid.
