I Remember

It felt great to be back home. Things hadn't really changed that much. I have gotten new leather sofas, and a new dining room table, but everything else was just as I remembered. That made me feel better; more secure.    Yongguk dropped me off at the house, and I expected Niel to come with me but he just shook his head.    "I have practice," Niel said, holding up the gym bag that had been stashed in Yongguk's trunk.    "I thought you had practice later in the afternoon?"   "I do," he sighed. "I have track practice, and then soccer practice."   Since when did my brother do track and field?   "Niel is a pretty good high jumper," Yongguk said, as if reading my mind. He chuckled, and pulled away from the curb.    I spent the day going through my own wardrobe and drawers, just to see what had changed, and what hadn't. I had to search my own cabinets for cookies, which was a new and strange experience.   In the late afternoon, I sat down at my computer desk in the study, and booted up my laptop. It was the same one that I was using before, and I was glad to see that the password had not changed. I checked my emails, and went through my internet history for a little bit.    Then, I noticed the weird thing. There was a strange folder stashed away in another folder where I usually kept old family photos. The folder was named D. FM, and obviously did not belong there. In addition, when I tried to open it, the system asked me for a password.    I've never bothered password protecting or encryption my files before, and I thought I had trashed the Directior of Fund Management story since it wasn't in my big folder. Strange.   Wondering what exactly was going on, I leaned back in my computer chair, and subconciously kicked my feet on the desk. One foot missed, and there was a loud bang as I accidentally hit the bottom of the desk.    Pain shot up my toe, and I hissed, doubling over to massage my foot. Then, I noticed that the kick had loosened a hidden compartment in my computer desk. Since when had this been here? Cautiously, I reached out to unlatch it, and a manila folder tumbled out into my hands. At the top, written on the flap in my handwriting, were the letters D. FM.    I had found the missing folder.    But why was it here, hidden, and not with the other stories?   I opened the folder, and started leafing through the pages. There seemed to be mostly photos, taken seemingly by me. Then there were pages of transcripts and recieps, as well as scattered sticky notes and memos. Everything seemed to have been stuck back in hastily last time, and I knew that it would take me a while to sort through everything.   The first few pictures in the stack seem to have been taken just a few days before my accident, and I looked at them in confusin because none of them made sense. There was a picture of the government building downtown, and one of a wooden bench in the middle of a park that I kind of recognized.    Then, there was a picture that was the side-profile of a teenage boy dressed in a school uniform, casually strolling, hands in pockets, down a busy street. I studied it a little closer, but did not recognize the blond boy. Turning the picture over, I saw words in my own handwriting scribbled in silver sharpie: find the key.   Find...what key?   I turned to the next picture, and I froze. It was a picture of Jaejoong, standing in front of an Italian resturant. He looked nice, dressed in black jeans and a simple navy cardigan, but had an aprehensive look on his face.   My fingers trembled as I turned turned it over, looking for writing, or anything that would be a clue as to why it was where it was. Had Jaejoong been part of my investigation? Did that even make sense? He worked for Congressman Choi, not the deceased Director of Fund Management.   At that moment, there was a loud scuffle outside of my door. The place that I lived in was on a hill, and I had the top floor, the second floor, of the apartment building. We didn't get door-to-door sales people because they always went to the first floor, and other people who I wanted to visit me all had keys.   There was a moment of

Chapter 17: I read this story years before and recently, this story came back into my mind again and after searching around aff for a while, I finally found it! Though it isn't as exciting as the first time i read it because I had already known what was going to happen, it's still a really good unforgettable story :D

Chapter 17: Jaejoong- I just can't. I knew it was coming from the beginning (random boyfriends you have no memory of are always suspicious) but Jaejoong is just too perfect and I love him way more than is probably healthy so I convinced myself that I was probably wrong. Serious hardcore denial up until the very last second when he showed up with a gun because I was too distressed to accept it, no matter how obvious it got. My love for Kim Jaejoong will one day be my downfall (but really, who can ever resist him?). I absolutely adore Yongguk though too (saw that relationship coming but I'm a helpless er for him as well), and all of the idols mentioned in the story. It had nice plot and I really did enjoy your story and writing. Great story! Loved it!~

Chapter 12: I'd like to guess that it is Zelo..? It was said that he was 16 or so and if I'm correct, Yongguk is 22 or 23 at the time. And they have a 6 year difference. Though I may seem to be overthinking it, i really think it is him hehe
