[Jaemin’s POV]

Whew! Long day huh? But I guess this is a happy day for me. Yipee! I spent almost the whole day with Cheondung. Kyaaa!

Now where’s Key? Hmm.

I waited at the gate for him and when I finally saw a glimpse of him walking towards my direction, I couldn’t help but smile. I have lots to tell him!

I was about to run to his side when I saw yet another person walking with him. A girl to be exact. I was stopped at my tracks.

Who is she?

“Hey. Sorry to keep you waiting,” Key said to me but somehow I couldn’t take my eyes off the girl. She’s from our class right? Han Mi Kyoung I think. Aigo! Stop it Jaemin!

I shook myself off. Aish!

“Jaemin, she’s Mi Kyoung. My… Uhmm… Partner. Yeah.” He scratch his head then turned to Mi Kyoung. “Mi Kyoung, she’s Lee Jaemin, my best friend.”

“Annyeonghaseyo. I’m Lee Jaemin.” I greeted the girl. Wow. She’s pretty.

“Annyeonghaseyo.”

“OK then, let’s go.” Key instinctively got my bag from me. But I felt rude allowing him to carry my bag when we’re with… Someone else. So I insisted on carrying it my own. But he wouldn’t allow me. I had no other choice I guess.

Silence…

It’s so quiet. It has never been quiet when I’m with Key. Well, at least when it’s just the two of us. Yeah. The two of us. Now, I just couldn’t help but think who this girl is. I mean, it’s the first time for us walking home with someone who’s not a part of our circle of friends.

I kept glancing Key the whole time we were walking and until the time I got home, I couldn’t take my thought off the walk home. And Key. And the girl.

I was sent off first before the girl. She’s gonna walk with Key. The two of them alone. They’re gonna be alone. Without me.

I don’t know why but the thought bothered me. Like, almost killed me to death.

AIYA! JAEMIN! YOU’RE CRAZY!

“Bye.” So awkward.

“Bye. Uhmm. Take her home. I-I mean, get her home s-safely.” I forced a smile. Kyaa! Take her home??? THE HELL JAEMIN??!

I went straight to my room and flopped on my bed. Who is she, really? Han Mi Kyoung… She must be someone special for him… For him to walk her home too.

AIGO!!! What am I thinking???

I smacked my head. Jaemin-ah! What do you mean by “She must be someone special for him… For him to walk her home too.”  Hey! You’re his best friend that’s why he walks you home! Not that you’re special or anything! Aish!!

 

[Key’s POV]

Why did I say that?

“I’m her boyfriend.”

I guess I just don’t know how to handle the situation anymore. I’m just so concerned about Mi Kyoung that I managed to say those words right into that guy’s face. Even I couldn’t believe myself.

“UGH!!” I buried my face under the pillow.

Kim Kibum. Babo!

“Yo guys!” Jonghyun called out to us the moment he saw Jaemin and I walk inside the campus.

“Hey.”  Jaemin and I both replied to him. Aigo. I feel like collapsing right now.

“Oh my gosh!” Jonghyun said examining mine and Jaemin’s face. “You have dark circles under your eyes! Don’t tell me… OH MY GOSH!”

Hea’s jaw dropped open too.

“Yah! What are you thinking? I just didn’t have enough sleep last night.” I replied to him.

Jaemin yawned beside me then Hea gasped. “Oh goodness! Jaemin and Key! What did you two do last night??”

 “Unni! I’m just tired ok? Last night was… Aigo!” Thanks to that statement of hers, Hea’s eyes grew even wider then Jonghyun and her started whispering to each other.

“OMO!” Jonghyun almost screamed. “You think so??!”

Hea nodded like crazy.

“Stop it you two!” I managed to say even when I feel like falling down anytime. I promise. They’re the strangest couple ever.

“Hey guys.”

Minho walked towards our direction.

“Morning, Minho,” Jaemin greeted her with a smile.

“Aigo. What happened to you two? You seemed so… tired.” He hesitated with the last word. What’s up with people??!

“Hey, hey yo!” Onew-hyung came in like from nowhere.

“Onew-hyung, look at them. Do they seem usual to you?” Jonghyun asked with a hint of teasing in his voice.

“Jonghyun! Stop that!” Jaemin said to him.

“What? Just asking.”

“Hea-unni, your boyfriend’s out of control!”Hea just laughed.

“OMIGOSH!” Onew-hyung studied our face looking almost as surprised. “What do you mean?”

The others and I laughed except Jonghyun who had that cold stare at Onew-hyung.. Haha. How dorky.

“Anyway guys, have you heard the news? Tomorrow's kinda special day. We’re gonna have a program tomorrow.” Minho announced. Wow. He’s always updated.

“Yes!” Onew-hyung pumped his fist in the air because of excitement. Jaemin clapped her hands happily.

“Program?” Hea asked.

“Yeah. I think there’s a… Uhmm… School official that’s celebrating his birthday. Maybe our principal?”

“Does it even matter? What matters is that classes will be suspended! Daebak!” Jonghyun’s really happy. Well, he sure loves days without classes.

 

[Jaemin’s POV]

Lunch time! Woohoo! So excited to eat!

“Boo!”

I jumped from where I was standing. Key just came out of nowhere. Well, he’s been doing his project with, uhh, Mi Kyoung. So  I waited for him here in the hallway.

“Let’s go eat, shall we?” He held my hand and we walked towards the canteen.

“Aigo. I miss you already, Jaemin,” he said staring at me with those puppy eyes while we sit across each other.

So cute!

“What an ugly face. Stop! I feel like vomiting!”

He pouted even more. Haha! Now I feel like laughing my head off.

“Jaemin, sit beside me. I want to sleep. Lend me your shoulders.” Key closed his eyes and yawned. Yeah. He sure is tired.

I was about to transfer to the sit beside him when Key suddenly lift his head, his gaze directed outside the canteen.  Then he rose from his seat.

“Jaemin, I’ll be back, ok? Eat ok? Don’t wait for me anymore.” And before I could respond to him, he rushed out of the canteen.

Where is he going? What’s the rush all about?

I had a good view of the outside of the canteen and saw him walking fast towards a girl. Towards Mi Kyoung…

Why do I fell like this all of a sudden? Like this. Like all my enthusiasm’s been drained out of my body.

He’s certainly going to Mi Kyoung. And he’s leaving me here alone.

Why? For Mi Kyoung?

I sat in complete silence.

He’s keeping a secret.

Key... 

 

[Key’s POV]

Jaemin and I were in the canteen when I saw Mi Kyoung walking along the corridor. And shoot! That guy’s following her around again. Hell, I have to do something about this.

“Jaemin, I’ll be back, ok? Eat ok? Don’t wait for me anymore.” And I ran outside the canteen catching up to Mi Kyoung.

That stalker’s giving me a headache.

 

[Cheondung’s POV]

Key? That’s definitely him. He’s so preoccupied he didn’t even notice that he bumped into me. What’s with the rush? And where is he going? He’s off without Jaemin.

Shaking the thought away, I walked into the canteen and saw Jaemin sitting alone on a corner table, head down. I went to the counter.

“Hi. Do you mind?” I gestured towards the chair across her.

“Not at all.” She smiled at me and I sat down.

“Hmm. Strange to see you without Key.”

“Oh. That. Guess he has something important to do.”

“Is that so?

“Yeah.” She smiled weakly and looked at me.

"I’ll stay here with you then. Here.” I slided the smoothie I bought for her across the table. I just hope chocolate’s the flavour she likes.

 

[Jaemin’s POV]

After hanging out with Cheondung in the canteen, we went out and sat on one bench there since we’re partly finished with the project and there really isn’t much to do.

Cheondung went back to our room and when he returned, he already had a guitar in his hand. I didn’t know he plays guitar. All I know is that he’s so cute. haha!

“Hmm. What song do you want me to play?”

I thought about it for a while then said, “Something that would fit me!”

He paused for a few seconds. Thinking of a song I guess. “Then it would be this song.”

He started strumming. I kept up with the beat and the melody. [Listen to the song now!]

Ohh.. Her eyes, her eyes

Make the stars look like they’re not shining…

A song for me? I was at a loss for words and my eyes was glued to him.

He continued to play the song smiling.

Falls perfectly without her trying…

He looked at me. He did. I feel like I needed more oxygen than usual. I cant breathe!

He looked at me again and I gulped because of nervousness. Kyaa! I hope I’m not too obvious!

Is it over already? I think I got too carried away. And I think I’m too busy staring at him and feeling  nervous and all that. Sheesh. I still can’t think straight!

“W-wow!  You’re great,” I said amazed and I tried to laugh a bit so it wouldn’t be obvious that my inner self is shaking…

“Thanks. I love that song. Haha! Don’t you think so?”

Oh gawd. He’s staring at me again. Cuteness overload! Stop blushing, Jaemin!

“N-ne! You’re really great.”

 

[Onew’s POV]

Aish. I’m a total loner today. Why does it always have to be me who gets left behind?? First, Jonghyun and Hea always seem to date each other. I mean, totally! You know the feeling when you can’t just barge in in the conversation coz who knows, they might be talking about their future wedding plans?  Speaking of sweetness. I can’t stand it!

And that Minho. Choi Minho. Gawd! He always practice. If not soccer, basketball. If not basketball, swimming. If not swimming, high jump. If not high jump, long jump. If not long jump, tennis. If not tennis, track and field. If not track and field… Oh well. I’ve run out of sports to think. But the point is, he talk sports and I talk chicken!

Gosh. Times like this.

I continued walking when something grabbed my attention.

Eh? Is that…?

I squinted my eyes so I get to have a better view of the scene.

And confirmed! That’s Jaemin! And what’s she doing with another guy?? They’re laughing and talking so… So intimately I guess. Key has to know about this.

And with that I sprinted, ready to inform Key about me smelling something fishy. Really fishy…

               

[Taemin’s POV]

So when class gets boring, I usually go out and wander inside the campus. Hey, I’m not cutting classes! I’m just trying the atmosphere outside and try to tell what the difference is when classes are going on and when they’re not.

I wonder where I’ll go next…

Maybe I should just eat. Yeah? No? Maybe?

I was in the middle of thinking of what to do when I spotted Key hyung behind a tree. I think he’s hiding . But why? And OMIGOSH! He’s with a girl. A girl that’s not Jaemin-noona!

Who’s that girl?? I better tell Jaemin-noona!

I ran as fast as I could to look for noona. She’s got to know this.  Hyung, I’ll tell you to noona. You’re cheating! I couldn’t believe this!

My brain was flying and I feel like my feet are moving on its own. Then I bumped into someone.

“Onew-hyung!” I helped him up to his feet. He fell when I bumped into him.

“Taemin-ah!”

“Sorry hyung. I got to run now. I have some business to take care of. It’s about friendship and love. See yah!”

 

[Onew’s POV]

That kid is strange.

Anyway, I better get going now.

After a few rounds of looking, I finally spotted Key walking on the school grounds. I quickly ran towards him.

“Hyung? What are you doing?” He asked me with eyes wide in curiosity.

 

[Jaemin’s POV]

I still cant believe of what just happened. I’m just glad Cheondung left to get something because if not, I might’ve fainted right in front of him!

“Noona!” I was slightly startled by the voice of Taemin.

“Taemin-ssi!” I called back at him who sat beside me on the bench.

“You seem so tired. Like you’ve just ran laps.” I ruffled his hair. Why does he have to be so cute and adorable??? “What’s up?”

“Noona, don’t be shocked.” He had this serious expression pasted on his face.

“Huh? What is it Taemin?” I asked, curiosity creeping up inside me.

“I saw Key-hyung with another woman.!”

“Y-you what?” I stuttered.

“I saw hyung just now! And he’s with some other woman! At first I thought it was you but when I had a better look, its not. And noona,” he put his hands on my shoulders. “They’re hiding behind a tree!”

MWO??? Behind a tree??!

Oh wait wait wait. Jaemin, calm down.  He must be talking about Mi Kyoung. Err, right. Her.

“Taemin its just—”

“Noona, I don’t want any other girls for hyung . I only want you.” He snuggled closer to me. Aigo. SO cute!!!!

“Taemin, they are partners for our project. They must be working on it when you saw them,” I explained. “I guess..”

Yeah. Just working on some problems.

“Noona, don’t tell me you’re jealous.”

“Mwo??!” He’s looking straight into my eyes now like there’s something I have to admit. Like he’s saying I AM JEALOUS.

“You’re jealous right?”

“O-of course not! Why would I??”

“Because that’s Key hyung and he’s with another girl other than you? Maybe. I think so.”

“I’m not jealous.” Of course not!

“Ok. Well, noona, if you are, you can always tell me.” Taemin smiled at me. I ruffled his hair again and smiled back.

I’m not jealous, am I?

Of course not!

Aish. What am I thinking?

 

[Key’s POV]

“Hyung, what are you doing?”

“What am I doing?? You tell me. What are YOU doing?? Why aren’t you with Jaemin?”

“Well, I was—” I haven’t finished talking when he already cut me off.

“You’re what? I saw her with another guy! And I think its that new guy from your class.”

What??! Just thinking of that Cheon guy with my Jaemin makes me want to—

Oh. But then I remembered. *sigh*.

“They’re partners. For our project. They are just probably working on it,” I explained  to Onew hyung who’s got his eyebrows furrowed now.

He crossed his arms across his chest. “Hope you’re right. Hmm.” He tapped his chin. “But why do they look so happy to me? Yeah, they look so happy when I saw them.”

“Don’t give a meaning to it hyung.” Aish! Contrary to what I am saying now, I feel like dying inside already.

That guy sure is fast. Yah! Kim Kibum! If you don’t make any move, I’m telling you. Jaemin might get stolen from you. Then everything will be just like POOF! for you. Don’t be a slowpoke.”

[Minho’s POV]

Everyone was gathered in the gymnasium now. What a pity. So yesterday, I was wondering why there’s this special program today. And great. I just completely forgot it’s my mom’s birthday.

               

[Jaemin’s POV]

“Minho, have you figured out already who’s birthday it is?” Minho’s sitting beside me on my left and Key on my right. I couldn’t ask him because he’s so busy chatting with Onew-oppa.

“My mom’s.”

“Mwo??? It’s your mom’s birthday today??” I was surprised. We rarely have this kind of celebration coz she’s usually overseas. She’s a busy woman. And by the way, Minho’s mom owns the school. So, this is basically Minho’s too. Filthy rich huh?

"Aish! How could you forget about it Minho?” Key asked from beside me. Then he laughed. I couldn’t help but laugh too.

“All he got in his mind is soccer. Don’t blame the poor boy.” Jonghyun almost shouted. So mean!

“Yah! Want to get kicked out Kim Jonghyun?” Minho threatened.

“Just kidding, man. Chill. Haha!”

The program started and the principal and some education representatives gave out their opening speeches. Boring… I hate it when they give out speeches like this. Key seems to hate it too because he rested his head on my shoulder and closed his eyes.

“Boring. Let’s just skip this, Jaemin.”

“Sshh! Quiet Key.” He put his arms around my waist and snuggled even closer to me when an IT personnel approached us.

“We need a representative from your class who will perform. Anyone?”

I said the first thing that came to my mind. “Cheondung!” Then I pointed to him who was sitting in front of us. “He’s really good in playing the guitar. And his voice is awesome!”

Cheondung was pulled out from our group and was asked to prepare.

I felt Key sat up straight from laying his head on my shoulder. When I looked at him, he’s pouting like a child.

“You should’ve suggested it to be me.”

“You??”

“Ne! Me! Don’t you trust me? Huh?,” he blurted out. He’s so cute! Haha!

“Let me think about that.” Haha! He looks pissed.

“Haha! If he goes there and perform, he would probably do girl group dances,” Jonghyun teased. I tried so hard not to laugh but failed. haha!

“Minho, please kick this kid out of your school.”

“You bet Key.”

“I that’s cute!” Hea shrieked. Jonghyun just looked at him with jealous eyes.

“Aww.” Key teased and stuck his tongue out to Jonghyun.

A few minutes later, after all the speeches and talks were said, Cheondung was finally called. I clapped my hands real hard. I’m so excited to see him perform! Woohoo!

Then it started…

Update!!! What do you think guys? Hmm... This chapter is a bit hard for Thea and I since we had so many ideas and it kinda got so mixed up.. Aigo! haha!
