Here's a filler chapter with a bunch of explanations. Anything in red in Mandarin (I should've done that for the other chapter. Whoopsie.) Excuse me for mistakes or confusion and sorry for the cliffie. I'll try to update tomorrow but I think I'm going to my cousin's house to celebrate a birthday, and in the morning I have church. GUYS! What should be Alaina's and Kai's couple name? Need opinions. So far I'm leaning toward Kaina. Oh, I think their song should be EXO's non-full song My Lady and maybe SHINee's song Talk To You. (Third Person POV)

SHINee, EXO-K, and the remaining members of B.A.P. decided to clean up as they waited.

"I'll bring you some spare clothes later," Suho was telling them politely. "Just use the last spare room furthest down the hall."

Yongguk bowed for his friends' behalf. "Kamsamnida for your consideration."

"I'll guess we'll wait downstairs in the living room," Kris said to Key.

Key nodded. "Go on ahead. If any of you are hungry, we have some food in the kitchen. Just down the main hall near the back and take a right."

"Whoop!" Xiumin immediately took the directions ecstatically. Tao and Chen tagged along. Kris and Luhan sighed in unison. As the others deserted to their rooms to change into better clothes, the remaining two of EXO-M went to the largest living room.

"Those kids," said Kris exasperatedly as he settled in a couch.

Luhan sat in the couch across from the tall guardian. He looked thoughtful and musing.

"What is it, Luhan?" Kris asked the younger-looking boy, seeing him be absorbed in his thoughts.

"Wasn't it strange how Kai said the girl - Alaina, I think her name was - was his soulmate, yet I would say different seeing how Taemin acted, too," remarked Luhan, his deer-like eyes narrowed as he recalled the scene. "The girl certainly didn't act like anything was odd."

"That's what you're wondering about?" Kris asked. "I was more impressed by her ES. I could sense how strong and massive it was despite she was nearly dying. Who has ES like that anymore?"

Luhan shrugged, but was puzzled and intrigued at the same time. "She's quite something to effect everyone, even those strangers." He glanced up queerly. "Those strangers look like they're trouble. In fact, SHINee and EXO-K act like they've just met with them."

"We'll get our answers soon," assured Kris calmly, leaning back into his seat to prove his point of waiting.

"What were you two geges talking about?" Tao asked as he and Chen and Xiumin came sauntering back with a handful of snacks.

Luhan and Kris sighed again. "Nothing," they both replied casually.

Around half and hour later, those who weren't with Alaina, clamored downstairs. Most of them, excluding B.A.P., had some bruises, cuts, and scrapes bandaged up and were tired, slouching into seats, their bodies laxed. They sat in respective places. Suho, D.O., and Baekyeol gathered on one couch. Taemin, Key, and Minho on an adjacent couch. Sehun in an armchair by Chen. Luhan and Xiumin in a loveseat. Kris and Tao in the opposite loveseat. Kai opted to stand.

"So who are they?" Tao repeated his question, pointing at B.A.P. where they clustered near one corner of the room uncomfortably, leaning against the wall or sitting cross-legged on the carpeted floor. They were wearing borrowed clothing that Suho kindly handed to them. It was kinda strange to see them in simple, casual garments and not in dark, punk-styled clothing.

Kris covered the maknae's mouth. "Excuse him, he tends to blurt out whatever's on his mind."

"Noh ai doe," mumbled Tao defensively behind his leader's hand and shook it off. "I said, 'no I don't'."

"They are...B.A.P.," Minho finally answered, almost unsure. "Um...they're new guardians."

"Eh? Did they just come over from the Reversed World?" asked Chen, puzzled.

EXO-M saw it again, how everyone exchanged those indecisive looks like they didn't know whether or not to explain.

"Not...exactly," said D.O. slowly and locked his lips from giving out any more confusing answers.

"Onew hyung said to wait," reminded Suho. "So we wait. Hold on until then." EXO-M nodded amiably.

Luhan darted his gaze between Kai and Taemin who looked impatient and anxious. Kai was pacing, wearing down the carpet, lips pursed when he was thinking about something seriously, and a tense knit between his brows. On the other hand, Taemin looked drab and unanimated - which was unlike him who usually had life and spark inside him. He sat huddled in one end of a couch, Key patting his shoulders now and then.

"So who is Alaina really?" blurted out Luhan to break the ice. He had the urge to fill in his curiosity.

At the girl's name, Kai stopped pacing and Taemin blinked from his daze, both snapping their gaze at the Luhan and he flinched at the simultaneous actions.

He held up his hands in his defense thinking they were uptight about the subject. "Mian, it's just that...I want to know who she is really. Look how you guys act like it's the end of the world because she was hurt."

"It might as well been the end of the world," muttered Zelo, fiddling with the hem of his shirt.

Key sighed at the awkward atmosphere. "Alaina...is both Taemin's and Kai's soulmate. And yes, Jonghyun and I consider her as our daughter."

EXO-M blinked in bewilderment. "Both Kai's and Taemin's soulmate?" repeated Xiumin to make sure he heard that right. They were taken back.

"That's impossible," murmured Luhan, troubled.

"But it's true," responded Minho honestly. "Since Taemin and Kai are both bonded to her, she has the two tattoo rings that indicate the bond."

"How long has she been their soulmate?" asked Kris.

"She officially entered our lives around two-ish months ago when she bonded with Taemin," answered Key, squeezing Taemin's arm, and he smiled faintly.

"Only about two weeks ago she bonded to Kai," added Baekhyun. "That was a very surprising morning." SHINee and EXO-K chuckled at the memory.

"She's only been around for two months?" questioned Chen skeptically. "You guys act closer than that."

"It's hard not to adore her," admitted Sehun with a grin. "She's an angel. She can cook, bake, is very smart, makes sure we don't argue, works hard, has lots of aegyo..."

"She's everything to me," whispered Taemin, sounding very sincere and tender.

"Me, too," agreed Kai. A small grin formed on his lips. "Taemin hyung and I had this dispute over her when I bonded. Alaina was shocked but had to accept the bond. Every time Taemin hyung and I were arguing, she would make us find a compromise."

"Only because we didn't want her to cry," pointed out Taemin.

"You made her cry first," said Kai.

"Because of you," countered Taemin.

"Yah, no arguing now!" Minho interrupted them and rolled his eyes.

"Is she even Korean?" asked Tao, tilting his head speculatively.

"She's from Japan," hinted Chanyeol with a grin. "We totally have to go there one day." He reached out to pound fists with Sehun in agreement.

Baekhyun chuckled in amusement. "Her full name is Akiyama Alaina."

"That's me," chimed in a soft voice. Everyone gasped when Alaina entered the room, leaning heavily against Jonghyun who supported her. Onew grasped her other arm in assistance. Beside them, Lay looked relieved and smiled at them.

"Her arm is fully healed, now," he assured everyone. He went to take the free spot by Kris. The leader patted his shoulder, conveying he did a good job.

"Thank you so much," said Onew gratefully, bowing his head.

Kai ran up to Alaina and led her to the couch where SHINee resided. Jonghyun sat by Key, Onew was in an armchair, and Alaina was pressed against Taemin. Kai sat on the armrest, holding her hand, warming it up. Alaina had changed into a new set of comfortable clothing, and looked remarkably better, a pink to her cheeks, and light in her eyes.

Alaina addressed EXO-M, bowing her head in greeting. "Mian for the emergency, but hello. I am Alaina," she said in her warm, angelic voice.

Pretty, thought EXO-M, surveying the girl. She wasn't a person you immediately caught your eye until you saw her up close. She wasn't drop-dead gorgeous or stunningly beautiful. She was a natural beauty with a serenic aura.

Very pretty, Luhan thought, seeing how she could outrank him in looks - both innocent and sweet. Taemin and Kai were lucky to have her.

Alaina furrowed her brows at them. Her peculiar gaze flickered between them, and everyone who knew her understood she was sensing something not seen by others.

"Excuse me," she spoke up tentatively to EXO-M, "by any chance, are any two of you bonded? I got confused, because I was sure I had gotten used to feeling of the bond between Baekyeol and Jongkey, but I sense another one."

"H-how did she..." Xiumin trailed off, looking at her wide-eyed in disbelief.

"She's the best informative sensor in the world," murmured Youngjae.

"She figured out Bacon and I were bonded," Chanyeol said brightly, holding onto his soulmate's hand. They both shared knowing smiles. "Let's see if she can guess which pair it is in EXO-M."

All eyes were trained on her as Alaina peered at each member of EXO-M deliberately. Finally, she concluded by pointing at the tall leader and the dark-haired maknae. "You two."

"Ah!" everyone uttered. Tao gaped at her. Even Kris seemed impressed, raising an interested brow.

"And here I thought I hide the ring well," chuckled Kris. He held up his hand in confirmation. His tattoo ring flickered in and out of appearance.

"Daebak!" cheered Sehun and Chanyeol. Some of them clapped appraisingly.

"I didn't see the ring, I saw the connection between you two," stated Alaina, smiling gently.

"I guess we should introduce ourselves now," pointed out Luhan.

EXO-M stood up formally and began in unison, "Annyeonghaseyo, we are one! We are EXO-M imnida!" They did their fist pump, their introduction the same like EXO-K.

Kris bowed his head respectfully. "Annyeong, I am the leader of EXO-M, Wu Fan, but everyone calls me Kris."

Tao smiled shyly but cutely. "Annyeong, I'm the maknae of EXO-M and known as Kung Fu Panda. My name is Huang Zi Tao, but call me Tao!"

Lay smiled softly, showing off his trademark dimple, and bowed his head. "Annyeonghaseyo, I am Zhang Yi Xing, but my nickname is Lay."

Luhan nodded once, but had a pretty smile present. "Annyeonghaseyo, I'm Lu Han. Just Luhan is fine."

Xiumin grinned impishly, showing off his cheeks. "Annyeong, I am Xiumin, but my real name is Kim Minseok. My nickname is Baozi!"

Chen was last, smiling handsomely. "Annyeong, my real name is Kim Jongdae, but just call me Chen."

"Everyone told me so much about you," Alaina said with a soft, alluring smile.

Lay staged-whispered to Tao, "She gives you and Sehun a run for your aegyo."

"But I am the aegyo prince," Tao defended himself confidently.

Jonghyun glanced at Onew. "I guess it's time for the entire story, huh? The search is finally over."

Onew nodded. "Whatever we say, please, no one interrupt. And we might need a couple of people to chip in to fill in the empty parts of the story."

"Where should we begin?" wondered Suho.

Alaina sighed softly, catching the gazes of Onew and Taemin with her own. They furrowed their brows, a silent communication between them. Even Kai was irritated he was left out.

"How about I explain a bit of my past first?" offered Alaina in a even tone. "That way I won't have to worry anymore. Since I finally have some answers, it makes sense."

"Go on, then," Kris said, and everyone situated themselves.

"Remember no interrupting or overreacting," heeded Onew and they nodded.

Alaina took a deep breath. "Araso, first off, all my life I had no idea what was...wrong with me. I didn't understand why I had these powers. For all I now, I'm suppossedly Japanese - but now I'm not so sure. You see, I have no real family. I'm an orphan. The farthest memory I can remember in my life was when I was four-years-old, waking up, laying on a bed in an orphanage. All I knew was my first name, nothing else. My caretaker, Ayano, who I consider my halmeoni, told me I had appeared on the orphanage's doorstep all alone. No note, no help, just as a little amnestic kid."

Alaina felt Kai's hands tightened over hers, but she did not look up to see his expressions. In fact, almost everyone looked sympathetic and apologetic. Tao and Sehun looked like they would shed tears and Key and Jonghyun were frowning. Taemin rubbed her shoulders soothingly.

"I grew up living in the orphanage, barely having any friends, but one-" her hand unconsciously trailed to her pendent, the sapphire rose glinting in the light "-my powers disoriented me, scared me from society or any other human contact. But it wasn't all that bad. At the orphanage, I felt like belong, it was my home. I never got adopted, though. But outside in the real world, even at school, I was invisible. No one took notice of me and thought of me as the poor orphan girl. I didn't like being in contact with others so closely aside from my caretaker and the orphans. I'm one of the oldest orphans there, I've lived there for nearly twelve years. I guess it was fate when I was chosen for the exchange program that brought me here in Seoul. Here, where all this mayhem started."

Everyone chuckled at her light words.

"It was my second day here in Seoul, I was walking home from work, and I felt this presence stalking after me. It was scary and very evil, and I was frightened since I was alone and it was at night. I began running, hoping I would disppear from the stalker's sight, but it chased after me persistently. I ducked into an alley, then it jumped right in front of me. I fell back from shock, seeing a demon for the first. It looked like the demons from my dreams. It said I smelt good for a human, and it wanted to eat me." Her voice dropped. "I would've died that night if Taemin hadn't saved me."

Taemin nodded, eyes locked on her distant face. "I was out on patrol late at night. I was very bored, but then I foresaw a direction I should take, seeing a demon and a girl. I quickly found the alley where they were and jumped in and killed the demon." A small smile laced his lips. "Alaina was afraid of me, too, seeing my powers and thinking it was all a nightmare. She ran off and I tried to run after her but she slipped from my sights."

Alaina chuckled the slightest. "Fate played with me again. The next day was my first day of school. I had homeroom class with Key umma, Minho, and Taemin. They were suspicious of me, thinking I was a demon or something." She sighed loudly, shooting an exasperated look at Taemin. "Taemin wanted to know who I was and cornered me at the end of school. He chased me all through-out the hallways - the longest game of tag ever - and I finally ran up the stairs to the rooftop where I confronted him. He grabbed my wrist and that's when the ritual happened. I passed out afterwards when Key umma and Minho arrived on scene."

Key nodded. "When she woke up in the nurse's office, I explained what the bond meant and its quirks. Then I figured out she must be an Inhuman because of her ES and powers. We stayed a bit closer to her then." He nudged Taemin with an elbow. "Taemin was affected by the bond and didn't want to leave her side."

Everyone laughed again.

Alaina continued, "Many people at school wondered why I was suddenly so close to them, and we agreed that I would portray as Onew oppa's second cousin. Eventually I meant all of SHINee, Onew oppa assigned himself as my guardian, and I moved in with them. And then it got more complicated from there."

B.A.P. shifted uneasily, knowing that's where they came in, but EXO-M didn't know that. The story was converted into third point of view.

"Demons began to spy on us, but more specifically, Alaina," said Onew. "They had enrolled their youngest demon in the school to be close to Alaina and give feedback of her whereabouts and other information, like how we guarded her. They wanted to kidnap her, but for what reason, we did not know back then. We went into protective mode, deciding how to wipe out the demons, but Alaina sensed they were more of them, and that they were powerful."

"So they called us for help," slipped in Suho. "We didn't know of Alaina's presence back then - well, Taemin had showed Kai at least - and we agreed to help. Seoul had lots of lower-ranked demons roaming around anyway, so we took care of them while focusing on tracking down the demon's hideout and their motives."

"It was troublesome," put in D.O. "Alaina got hurt so many times. Almost every week. She was hard to protect when we needed her services."

Alaina's cheeks went pink.

"You should be aware, she's the danger magnet," said Chanyeol with a playful smile. "I suggest staying with her Lay. She's going to need your powers."

Alaina's face went red. Lay only smiled kindly.

"Unfortunately, we decided it was too dangerous for Alaina to be out in the open so we kinda kept her under house arrest," said Jonghyun. "We felt bad keeping her locked up but we wanted her safe, but the demons had plans to draw her out while we were distracted and unaware."

"That was near the time when I bonded with Alaina," murmured Kai, squeezing her hand. "I couldn't be more happy during a crisis." Alaina smiled at him gently. Everyone could see the love in their eyes.

"The demons showed themselves before us one day when school hours just ended," explained Minho. "One had baited me, Kibum, Baekhyun, and Sehun into a huge, disastrous fight. At the university, a strong pair were fighting against Onew hyung, Jonghyun hyung, Chanyeol, and D.O. Suho, Taemin, and Kai were at home with Alaina that day, because of Kai's bonding with her, they were arguing so we let them stay home to have it sorted out."

"You probably heard it on the news," stated Key. "It said that it was probably a terrorist attack. Buildings damaged and collapsed. A so-called bomb accidently rigged and blown up at the university."

"Ah! I remember that!" exclaimed Xiumin in remembrance, snapping his fingers.

"I knew it had something to do with you guys," murmured Luhan, rubbing his chin.

Glancing sideways, Alaina's gaze locked with Zelo's for a second and he broke it when he guilty stared at his hands. Daehyun reached out to squeeze the maknae's shoulder reassuringly.

"It turned out to be a diversion," said Alaina. "Two stealthful demons had snuck past Key umma's barrier and left a gift for me. A Lilith Butterfly. It fused itself into my chest during one night." Her hand touched the area below her collarbone, recalling the irritation she felt there.

Key explained the butterfly for anyone who didn't know as well-informed as he was, "If you recall, a Lilith Butterfly is from the Doomworld. It has special abilities that one person can utilize and take control of another person within their mind and body. If a Lilith Butterfly drinks someone's blood, that person will become its master and will listen to his wishes. The master can have one target to influence over. The butterfly will fuse into their body and adjust its influence over the target. You can see changes in the target, such as changes in moods, appetite, concentration, and sleep."

Onew sighed, leaning back into his seat. "And then, a week later, that's when the demons confronted us again."

"We had everyone but Onew hyung fighting that day," said Taemin lowly. "He was at home with Alaina. We had the upper advantage against four demons in all. Their leader or maknae wasn't around. We were equally hurt and creating a mess on site, but we didn't expect what was happening at home."

Onew looked sober and regretful as Alaina said in a soft, low voice, "By then, I was fully influenced by the butterfly. I had decided to take a nap to pass the time, but all the time in my dreams, I kept being hypnotized by the butterfly, a voice telling me to always follow it because it would free me. I didn't know my physical body was actually moving, too, despite being in a dream. The butterfly had control over me - or at least the its master was, ordering me what to do and where to go."

Onew nodded, frowning troublesomely. "I saw Alaina sleepwalking out in the backyard and quickly ran after her. A demon, the one controlling her, was waiting outside the barrier. He used a magical stone to open a hole in the barrier and took Alaina. I tried to get her back, but the demon leader appeared, and threatened that if I wanted her back, she would be dead." Alaina, Taemin, and Kai cringed at the dreadful thought. "There was so much conflict in me, but I didn't want that to happen so I let them go. I quickly went to inform the others that they were being distracted."

Jonghyun huffed. "We were a mess, figuratively and realistically. Key was phoned by Onew and we all angry to figure out where the demon's hideout was. But apparently, one demon had the heart to tell us where it was. We were all suspicious but he seemed to be telling the truth. I constructed a plan to sneak in with two of the demons that proved themselves as allies. One of them had the power to cloak presences so we successfully snuck in. The other two demons on the other hand..."

"We had to keep them under lock and key," said Minho wearily. "But they were as mad as they were ticked off. Their powers overwhelmed me, Kibum, and Taemin when we were keeping them at bay."

"We convinced the demon maknae - who I might add seemed to befriended Alaina - to run off with Alaina to safety while all hell broke loose," said Jonghyun.

"Literally," muttered Kai.

"Then that's when my ES activated," said Alaina. "You see, there was a spell on me, it was to restrain my ES and hide my scent. But the more I learn about the Reversed World and being an Inhuman, it wore off."

"I know I'm not suppossed to be asking questions, but why would you have a spell on you when you didn't know you were an Inhuman in the first place?" asked Luhan. He frowned the slightest. "It wouldn't make sense for demons to go through so much trouble to capture you." It wasn't like she wasn't important or anything but still, it just didn't add up.

Alaina smiled at him and Luhan found himself dazzled at her warmth and tenderness. "My dear guardians," she said in a mature tone, "your quest is over. You see, I am the Peacemaker."
