Wow, it's been a long long long long long long long time since I've updated this story, hasn't it!? I'm so sory for putting this off for so long, I honestly lost all motivatoin I had for this story. Nothing was popping up in my head and it seemed the spark had died out for this story. I really am sorry to those that have been waiting for so long. You guys definetely deserve this! <3 So, here it is! Chapter 11!! And I will be continuing this story and pushing myself to finish it! I do suspect either chapter 12 or 13 being my last chapter, I think this story has gone on longer than it needs to. Thank you for always being patient with me and loving my work! <3

Enjoy my lovely imaginators!

Walking into the coffee shop, you looked around before you noticed a familiar figure. Smiling, you walked towards the worn out booth and sat down. Himchan looked up at you and you could see curiosity on his face. Blood on your clothes and bruises on your face would make anyone wonder what you were doing. Clearing your throat you folded your hands together and placed them under your chin.

“What’s up, Himchan.”

“What’s up with you? Blood on your shirt and bruises on your face and hands.”

“I was just taking care of some business.”

Himchan let out a laugh before shaking his head. Living with you made him realize just how crazy you were. He decided not to question you any further, knowing exactly what business you were taking care of. Himchan knew that Sumin was your top priority right now and he couldn’t help but feel sorry for you.

“I’m here to help.”

“How.”

All the friendliness and kindness was gone from your eyes as you glared at Himchan. You wanted to be thankful for his help, but you also couldn’t help but be hesitant. If Yongguk could throw you out so easily, why wouldn’t Himchan. Of course, he was extremely nicer than his leader, but none the less, still a gang member.

“I know you’re hesitant to trust me,” He started, rubbing the back of his neck. “But you’re like family now. I’m going to help you no matter what.”

“Family?” You asked, leaning back and crossing your arms across your chest. “Am I really, Himchan?”

The coldness in your voice was enough for Himchan to shiver. He took in a deep breath and leant back against his seat. For what seemed like an eternity, all you two did was stare at one another. A silent conversation was going on and before you knew it, you were smiling.

“Still the same, I see.”

“Yup. So, tell me what you need.”

You slipped a folded piece of paper towards Himchan. He picked up the paper and read the address neatly written across the paper. He looked at you and you smiled, if you were going to trust anyone, it was going to be Himchan. He was, in fact, the mother of the group of wild boys. He was the only one any of them really listened to.

“I got a call today, from Jaehwan. This is where I traced it, sound familiar?”

“Yeah.” Himchan whispered, sliding the paper back towards you. “But you’re not going to like it.”

“I don’t like a lot of things,” You confessed, stuffing the paper back into your pocket. “But I do like my baby cousin at my side.”

He nodded his head and gave you a sympathetic look. You wanted to feel thankful, but sympathy isn’t really what you needed at the moment. What you wanted was Sumin back and sympathy wasn’t going to give you that. Himchan must’ve read your mind because he cleared his throat and gave you one of his serious stares.

“It’s where your father was killed. The house you grew up in.”

Titling your head, you looked at Himchan. You couldn’t remember where your old house was, granted you were never able to step outside so who would bother to let you learn the address. But you were confused as to how Himchan knew that. No one was supposed to know the location of the head family, so how did he.

“How do you know that.” Your body seemed to tense up on it’s own, and you seemed ready to kill.

Himchan seemed to notice this as he raised his hands in surrender. After you seemed to calm down, he his lips and grabbed one of your hands. He gave you a sad smile before taking a deep breath. You had a feeling you were going to hear something you didn’t want to know.

“How did your father die?”

“He was assassinated. Someone from an opposing gang pretended to be a guard and then snapped on him.”

“Do you think your father was dumb enough to hire someone from the opposing gang without knowing it?”

“No.” You stated, narrowing your eyes at him. “I don’t…. What are you getting at Himchan?”

“Your mother killed your father.”

Snatching your hand out of his, you shook your head. Letting out a scoff you avoided eye contact with him. Was he crazy? Does he know what he’s saying right now? There’s no way your mother could have killed her own husband, your father. Right? She isn’t capable of such a thing, she would never do something so devastating.

She wouldn’t, right?

“How do you know this?”

Himchan proceeded to tell you his story. He explained that he and Yongguk were being personally trained by your father. They were supposed to be his top two students, his best fighters- his prodigies if you would. He told you how him and Yongguk were standing outside the door as your parents were arguing.

After the incident, he said that both him and Yongguk were demoted to nothing but mere gang members. Kicked back out onto the streets and they were told to recruit new members. After establishing that, they slowly worked their way up until they were in charge of a section. Seoul just happened to be it. They had the power to summon up an army if needed, but all six boys were enough for them.

“I think I need to go.” You stated, standing up. It was three in the morning and finding out that your mother killed your father wasn’t something you wanted to find out at this hour. “Thanks Himchan. I’ll call you later.”

“Sure thing. I’ll be waiting for your call.” He stood up, and walked you to the door. “We’re going to get Sumin back.”

You smiled and gave Himchan a hug. He was always taking care of others, you would list it as a flaw, but you couldn’t help but feel thankful. No matter how ruthless he could come off as, Himchan will always be a  loving figure to those around him and you appreciated that.

“Thanks for everything. I’m sorry for lying to you.”

He hugged you back.

“It’s okay. One must do what they can to survive.”

You wanted to ask him how the boys were doing. You wanted to know if Zelo was still listening as well as he should be. You wanted to make sure Youngjae wasn’t staying up until five in the morning, researching like no tomorrow. You wanted to see if Jongup got better at using a gun, because did that boy need to practice. You wanted to know if Daehyun was eating well because all that kid seemed to eat was ramen.

You wanted to know if Yongguk still wanted to skin you alive.

But instead of asking, you let go of Himchan and gave him a sad smile. You weren’t allowed back into their lives, in fact, you were lucky Himchan was even willing to help you. How could you blame Yongguk? You deceived him, and what’s worse is that you knew he hated your guts before he even knew of your true identity.

“Everyone is doing okay.” Himchan whispered, ruffling your hair. “The kids miss you.”

The kids. But not Yongguk. It shouldn’t have hurt, but it did and you didn’t know why. You weren’t in love with Yongguk, no. But you thought that you could have been. He protected you like he forgot you could fight for yourself and for some reason you appreciate that. It felt like he wanted to protect you. You liked that. You liked it a lot. If only you didn’t ruin your chance with him. But you shouldn’t be thinking about that right now.

“I miss them too. Take care of them for me, will you?”

“Of course I will. When do I not.”

Laughing one last time, you and Himchan parted ways. At least you had one ally on your side. And you should be getting more information from the poor girl you beat up. You were determined to find Sumin and bring her home, even if it meant putting your life on the line. You were in charge of the family business, and as such you needed to make sure your family was safe.

Even if that meant getting your own mother out of the picture. If she could kill your father, she could definitely kill you. So instead of being the first to go, you were going to be the first to attack. Things started to make sense, things started to click. No wonder she set Sumin back to Korea. She didn’t want her to know what was going on, what she had under her sleeve.

“Sumin first, mom later.” You mumbled to yourself, walking into your apartment.

Hearing your phone ring, you glanced at the caller ID. You weren’t sure if you should be relived or terrified of who was calling you. your dry lips, you sat down on your couch and answered the call. Putting the phone on speaker, you grabbed the tape recorder lying on your coffee table and hit record.

“Sumin?”

“Oh honey, Sumin is busy right now.”

Terrified. You were definitely terrified.

“Mom.” You whispered. “Where’s Sumin.”

“Oh, let’s talk about something a little more important, shall we?”

Shaking, you balled your hands into fists. Your blood was boiling and all you could see was red. More important? What could be more important than the life of your cousin. Having your mother call you was the last thing you needed, all you wanted was to bring home Sumin safe and sound.

“Well,” Your mother started, tired of sitting in silence. “How are the boys? Are they still treating you well? They must be since they were bold enough to come and rescue you.”

“Let me talk to Sumin.”

“I’m afraid that’s not going to be possible honey.”

“Why not.”

You heard your mother laugh over the phone before clearing . The sound was so sickening you wanted to throw up, what had she done to Sumin. Why wouldn’t she let you talk to her. All the questions you had weren’t being answered and it started to piss you off.

“Because. She’s dead.” You heard the sound of heels clicking. “I told her that if she was going to interfere with my business, then she’d be eliminated.”

The sound of waves crashing and men yelling was all you could hear. A loud splash was heard along with a ‘that should weigh her down.’ “And the poor girl just didn’t want to listen. She insisted on letting you know everything.”

“What.” You managed to whisper, tears trailing down your face. “You killed her?”

“I had to do whatever I could to protect the family business baby. All of this, it’s for you and me. We can rule everything, we just need to destroy all the bumps in the road.”

“You. Killed. Sumin.” You repeated, sorrow being replaced with anger. “And you threw her body in the ocean like she never mattered.”

“It’s okay sweetie. Everything is going to be okay.”

“I’ll ing kill you.”

Silence. The sound of wind was no longer there, you couldn’t hear the sound of waves crashing and no more men seemed to be around throwing bodies into the ocean. The sound of heels clacking seemed to cease.

“Oh honey, I thought you would say that.” You heard your mother ‘tch’ before she continued. “I guess you’ll just have to join Sumin then, won’t you?”

And with that, your mother hung up the phone. Furious, you stopped the tape recorder and stood up. Through the curtains of your apartment, you could see a red dot on one of your walls. Grabbing your phone, you slowly moved to the side of your window. You were thankful that it was still dark outside, making it difficult to see the inside of your apartment at this hour.

“A sniper.” You whispered, slowly sitting on the floor. “You’d think she’d take me out in more style.”

You quickly crawled under the window and swiftly made your way to your front door. You needed to get out of your apartment before the sniper could clearly see you and get a direct shot. Luckily you were able to crawl out of the door without being seen. Once you were safely in the apartment hallway, realization hit you.

Sumin was dead. She was dead and there was nothing you could’ve done to save her. You felt dirty and useless, she died for you and she knew it. She sacrificed her life for yours. You couldn’t help but feel sorry for yourself. After ten minutes of uncontrollable sobbing, you unlocked your phone.

You didn’t need more people dead because of you.

Get out as soon as you can. She’s out to get all of us and she killed Sumin. It’s time to put this empire to sleep.

Pressing send, you waited for a confirmation text from Himchan before you stood up. It was war, it’s been war but it just got a lot more personal. First your father and now your cousin. Your mother has taken all the family you have and you sure as hell weren’t going to let her take anything else.

Got it. Meet us at the abandoned warehouse.

                        -Himchan

You understood why Yongguk hated your mother and you understood why he hated you. You were poisonous, and you didn’t even know it. Because of your mother, you were a tainted soul. But you were going to fix that, it was time for you to take over the family business. You had no choice.

It was time to get your mothers head.
