Chapter 1

Family Business

“Mom! Look at me! Look how high I’m going!” said the 5 year old little girl on the swing set.

“That’s wonderful honey!” Her mother said.

The little girl watched as her mother walked to a farther bench away from the other parents and continue to talk on the phone. “No.” she whispered. “I want this done right now, and I want it done right! Don’t make me have to do it myself.” She hissed and hung up the phone.

Her phone rang again.

“What?!”

“Ma’m.. We have a problem.”

“What is it now?!”

“The target has been lost. We-“

“What do you mean you lost the ing target. All you had to do was follow him and take some simple pictures, was that so hard to do?”

“No, bu-“

But what?!”

“…”

“Exactly.”

“Sorry ma’m. We’ll find him right away!”

Beep.

The little girl ran over to her mother, “Mommy, who was that?”

“No one important, sweetheart Just one of daddy’s workers.” She smiled sweetly to her daughter.

“Mom.. Why are there so many of daddy’s workers around now?” The little girl asked looking at all the men she saw her father with all the time. Her mother also looked around and frowned.

“They’re here because your dad told them to watch us from now on.”

“But why mommy?” She asked now looking into her mother’s eyes. “Why do they need to watch us?”

“Because, there are a lot of bad people in this world baby.” Her mother said hugging her child. “And sometimes it’s better to have some protection than none.”

"What kind of work do you do, mommy?”

“Well honey, since your father passed away, mommy had to take over his business” Her mother explained.

“But.. what DID daddy do?” The girl asked with curious eyes.

“You’ll find out when you get older. Now, let’s go. Mommy has work to do.” Her mother said grabbing the little girls hand.

“I miss daddy..” The little girl whined, gripping her mothers hand tighter.

"Me too sweetheart, me too.”

*10 Years Later*

Punch.

“Say that one more time, and I swear, you’ll end up dead.” said the now 15 year old girl.

“Your father was nothing but a coward, having other people do his dirty work while he just sat in his cozy little office all day long.” A boy about her age said. She laughed.

“What the are you laughing at?!”

She continued to laugh.

“That’s it , I’m tired of you. You’re such an eye sore. You think that just because you have people that worked for your dad protecting you, you can have and do whatever the you want.” He spat.

“You’re so annoying.” She said looking at him, cocking her head to the side. “You think that I give a about what you have to say? How about you stop talking and do something about it, .”

He snarled and launched himself at her. She managed not to get punched in the face, but the weight of his body had them both on the floor.

“Handle this, little girl.”

Punch.

...

“Honey! What happened?!” Her mother screamed when she got home.

“Nothing.” She said, dragging herself up stairs. As soon as she got into her room she entered her bathroom. “Tch. ing .” She examined herself in the mirror, a busted lip, bruise already forming on her right cheek and her favorite shirt was torn. “One day.” She told herself as she started her shower and stepped in. “One day, they’ll all pay.”

*5 Years Later*

“Excuse me miss, your drink is ready.”

You snap out of your thoughts, and thank the bartender.

“Do you have any idea who the guy on stage is?”  The way he moved on stage and carried him peaked your interest. The bartender looked up at the figure standing on stage and shrugged.

“Calls himself  Jepp Blackman. No one knows why and honestly, no one cares. The only thing that matters is that he’s good and that customers are happy with him.” You nod your head and turn your attention back on stage. Smirking, you eyed him. The way he walked like he’s been on that stage since he was born, the way he rapped so intensely, like you could feel the passion coming from within him, the way the microphone just seemed to belong in his hand.

Everything about him had you hooked onto his presence.

“Interesting..” You mumble to yourself. “He seems to be enjoying his time up there.”

“Hey there baby, can I buy you drink.” A man, maybe twice your age, offered. A knowing smirk was plastered on his face and you couldn't help but let out a sigh. He really knew how to ruin the mood you were in.

“No thanks, you’re not my type.” You state, not even bothering to look his way.

He sat down next to you, arm leaning on the bar.“Oh c’mon. Don’t be like that.” Leaning in closer he whispered in your ear, “ I could show you a real good time.”

You smirk, irritation flooding through your veings. Some men just didn't know when to stop. “I said no thanks.” Finally looking his way and titling your head to the side, “So if you want to be able to have children in the future, I suppose you get going, baby.”

“Whatever, .” He grumbles, standing up and fixing his jacket. You just smile and blow a kiss in his direction, telling him to have a great rest of his night.

“It’s okay big boy. Someone has to want you!” You shout after him, waving to him when he sends you a nasty look over his shoulder.

The bartender laughs while he continues to wipe his cups dry. “You’re a different kind of girl.”

“You have no idea.” After downing the last bit of your drink you decide that it was time to have a little fun.

“Let the games begin.”  Wearing nothing but a skin tight black dress and sleek black heels, you make your way onto the dance floor looking for your next victim. Standing about 5 feet away from you, you see a man wearing black sunglasses and looking around the room, almost like he was a guard dog. Mentally giggling to yourself, you make your way over to him.

“Hey there.” You giggle, grabbing onto the collar of his suit jacket. The side of his mouth twitches, bingo you think. “Want to dance?”

He coughes, “I really can’t rig-“

“Oh come one! One little dance can’t hurt, right?” Pouting a little bit, you look up at him.

“I guess, you’re right..”

“Of course I am! Women are always right.” You smile, wrapping his tie around your hand.

Dragging him to the middle of the dance floor, you both start dancing. He places his hands on your hips and you both start swaying to the music. Pretty soon, one dance turns into 5. Slyly, you look around the room and look for anymore guard dogs. Seems like there are two of them.. You see another man with the same outfit and sunglasses standing about 10 feet away from where the first man was standing. Turning, you wrap your arms around his neck,

“Oppa~ Let’s go have some fun.”

Smirking he looks down at you with a knowing look in his eyes, “Whatever you want, doll.”

Grabbing his hand, you lead him to one of the VIP rooms in the back of the club. The music starts to sound muffled the farther you go and your heart beat starts to pick up. After opening the door and slamming it shut, you push him onto the bed.

“Let’s have some real fun, okay?”

“Whatever. You. Want.” He smiles, making himself comfortable on the bed. Leaning down, you rest your hands on his chest and bring your lips to his ear.

"Good." Suddenly you push yourself off of him and he looks at you with confusion. “I should go to the bathroom first, you know, get ready.”

“Sure thing sweetheart, take your time. I got all night.”

“That’s a good thing to know.”

As soon as you walk into the bathroom you lock the door and let out an irritated sigh. You open the medicine cabinet and grab the gun you planted there prior to buying yourself a drink at the bar. Adrenaline runs through your veins as your finger hovers over the trigger, sending a chilling excitement down your spine.

“Well hello there baby, did you miss mama?” Flushing the toilet you yell through the door. “Hey baby. Why don’t we make this fun!”

“What’d did you have in mind?”

“Close your eyes, and maybe you’ll find out.” You press your back to the door, gun loaded and ready to shoot.

“So you like to play games? This is going to be a fun night..” He laughs. "Alright, I'm ready whenever you are."

You crack the door open a little and look through, his eyes were closed and he had the biggest grin on his face. Rolling your eyes, you step out of the bathroom and slowly walk towards him. The only noise that could be heard wast he faint sound of music and the clacking of your heels.

“Good! Just. Like. That.”

“You’re such a naughty girl for teasing me like this.” He mumbles, arms resting just behind his head. Standing in front the bed you let out a giggle, aiming the gun at his head.

“I’m sorry, but don’t worry it’ll all be over soon.” The cocking if your gun was the only thing that could be heard. The guard opens his eyes and they grow wide with shock. .

“What the fu-“ He said frantically searching for his gun.

“Looking for this?” Holding up the gun that he was desperately looking for. The look on his face was a mixture of horror and anger.

“You .” He hisses between gritted teeth, you roll your eyes at the words.

“Yeah, I haven't heard that one before. Any last words? You know, better ones than those?”

“My boss will get you for this. He won’t just let you guys get awa-“

POW.

“You were talking too much.”

Blood runs down his face and gets all over the head board. The scene is enough to make any normal person sick to their stomach. Shrugging, you lift your dress and tuck the gun into the halter you have wrapped aroun your thigh. Quickly, you walk out of the room and lock it behind you. Finally reaching the bar, you start to look around, scanning the crowd. Where did the other guard go? You think, a sense of urgency rushing over you. Turning your attention back to the stage for just a minute, you start to wonder where the rapper disappeared to.

“.” You mumble, heart beat picking up as you scan the entire area for him.

“Can I help you ma’m?” The bartender asks, and you compose yourself to the best of your ability. He sends you a sweet smile and you do the same.

“Umm, yeah where did that one guy go… umm..”

“Jepp Blackman?”

“YES! Him. Did you happen to see where he went?” You ask, with a tint of panic in your voice.

“He went into room 13, with that nice looking gentlemen with the sunglasses.”

Your eye twitches and you take a deep breath. “Oh, really now. How long ago was this?”

“Not too long ago, maybe 5 minutes or so… Why?” He asks, eyeing you like you were some deranged lunatic.

“Oh nothing. Thank you so much!” And with that, you were making your way toward room 13.

“." Was the only thing running through your mind as you quickly make your way towards the room. Without making a scene and looking too suspicious, you make it to the front of the door.

“I’ll give you one more chance, tell me where your boss is, and I’ll let you live.” You hear someone, most likely the second guard, say. You hear a deep laugh in response.

“You and I both know that you are lying.”

“Well then,” you hear the sound of a gun click, “I guess it’s game over.”

Adrenaline starts to run through your body once more. You burst through the door, taking both men by surprise.

“Games not over just yet honey. You just got another player.” You smile, sending him a wink. The guard scoffs and walks behind the rapper, gun pointed at his head. He nods his head towards you, not phased by your entrance once he's settled behin his prisoner.

“And who are you?”

“I’m whatever, whenever, wherever.” You shrug, taking a couple steps forward to stand right in front of the two of them. ‘Jepp Blackman’, just stares at you like you were crazy and you couldn't help but think that he was right.

“Do you have a problem?” You grunt, jabbing your gun in his direction. One would expect that someone tied to a chair would be happy, if not grateful, to see someone trying to save them.

“Yeah. Who the are you.” He hisses looking you up and down.

“Obviously, I’m your ing savior."

“Obviously not, I’m still ing sitting here with this damn gun to my ing head.”

The guard stands there and watches the two of you continue to bicker for another two minutes before he decides that he's had enough. His gun collides with the side of 'Jepp Blackmans' head. He lets out a cry of pain and you're back to your senses, mind only thinking about annihilating your target.

“SHUT THE UP.” The guard yells, looking you dead in the eyes. An irritated sigh escapes his mouth and he turns his head, popping his neck.

“Now if you don’t ing mind I’m going to kill this son of a bi-"

Before he can finish his sentence, you grab the gun from your holster and point it in his direction. Immediately you pull the trigger and the bullet shoots from the gun into his head. His gun drops to the floor before his knees do. 'Jepp Blackman' looks behind him, a scoff slipping from his lips and you walk towards him to untie him from the chair.

POW.

“All these motherers talk too much. If you’re going to kill someone just ing kill someone.” Kicking the body to the side, you hear the sound of a gun clicking.

“Who are you.” He demands, in a deep voice.

“Look, I don’t think we have time for this.” This time, he was the one to raise and eye brow and you pointed toward the door. More guards were coming your way, and the both of you did not feel like fighting an entire army on your own. He growled and looked at you,

“Fine. Let’s go.” Both of you ran toward the window and jumped out before they could reach the room. As soon as you ran far enough with enough people, you both stopped running and slowed to a walk, as if nothing happened. “Again,” he asked, “Who are you?” You smirked.

“Is that all? No thank you for saving your ?” He scoffed and looked and you,

I won’t hesitate to kill you.”

“You would’ve killed me in that room if you were actually going to kill me.” You said, looking at him.

He stared back and narrowed his eyes. “I’m ____. Part of S.C.” you said, lifting up your dress a little, allowing your tattoo to show. He looked at you with wide eyes,

“But I’ve never seen you around before.”

Shrugging you said, “I don’t usually do partner work, I’m more of an undercover type of person.”

“Then, why were you here tonight?” He questioned.

You stopped and looked at him, he did the same. “What’s your name?”

“Yongguk.”

“Well, Yongguk. You know as well as I do, when you go on these types of missions you’re supposed to have a backup just in case something happens. And you, did NOT have a backup.” Feeling a bit embarrassed that he got caught, he looked to the side examining the tree that just so happened to be there.

“I thought I could handle it alone.”

“But you didn’t. You almost died.” You said bluntly with a bit more attitude than expected. He just looked at you, with his hands stuffed in his pockets.

“Who the hell are you to tell me how to do my job.”

“I’m obviously someone better than you.” You said moving your face closer to his. He growled and moved his face closer to your, just until your noses were barely touching.

“Watch what you say, little girl. I don’t give a if you’re in the same gang. Get on my nerves and I won’t hesitate to kill you.” You laughed without breaking eye contact,

“And I won’t hesitate to fight back.” And with that you both your heels and walked toward your own homes.

“Who the is she?!” Yongguk thought.
