I excitedly ran to my parents’ room to show them my test result. My father promised to buy me any toy I want if I ace the test today. And guess what, for the love of toys, I actually studied the whole day yesterday and perfected the test! Mwahaha my beloved bearbricks here I come!

When I entered their room, I saw my mother talking to someone on the phone while my father is on the bed reading some magazine. I ran to him and showed him my paper.

"Appa! I got a perfect score!"

My father put down the magazine he was reading and then patted my shoulder, "Good job son. Well then, as promised, we'll buy you any toy you want later"

"YES!" my father laughed at me while telling me to lower my voice because my mom is still talking to someone. "Who is omma talking to?"

"Her old friend who now lives in the States..."

"Ohhh..." I nodded my head. I approached my omma and hugged her from behind. She smiled at me and continued her conversation on the phone.

"Ah...I understand....yes...no, I'm sure they won't mind...I'd gladly take her!...no problem....okay....bye!"

"Omma who was that?" I asked as soon as my mom put down the phone.

"Park Hanna, my classmate when I was in high school, and technically, my best friend. She asked a favor..."

"And that is?" my father got curious.

"She's sending her child here in Korea. And she's asking if she could stay here. Well I already said yes to her, so I hope you guys would agree..."

"It's fine with me" My father said then continued reading the magazine.

"That means I'll have a new playmate???" 

"Yes Seunghyun. But you must take care of her, arasso? She's months younger than you, so you should be like a big brother to her."

“’She? Oh she’s a girl…”

“Is there something wrong with that?”

“Well girls don’t like to play as much as boys. They just talk about girly things, etc. etc.”

Hearing my reasons, my mom laughed at me, “You can’t take that away from us. Our stamina and physical strength are not as great as yours so naturally, girls are calm in nature.”

Nevertheless, I got excited with the idea of another kid in the house. Now this time I don't have to go Jiyong's house just to have a playmate. Being a single son is good because you get all the attention but it when you're sometimes left alone with no one to keep you company. I'm just 14 years old so expect me to be really playful and active.

"What's her name omma?"

"Park Sandara. By the way, she'll arrive this Saturday. We'll just let her use the guest room. But we have to decorate it a little bit so that she would feel comfortable staying here. Who wants to come with me to the mall and buy stuffs for decoration?!"

"Me!!! And appa will buy me toys also!" I shouted. This day is so exciting, the news of someone coming over and having another addition to my collection of toys made so hyper that I'm already jumping up and down like a crazy rabbit.
