It was when my mom told me, I should probably have a vacation, that Paris popped out of nowhere. I really want to go to Paris. It's aura gave me a such warm and romantic feeling. Well, Paris is the city of love and I imagine, if I can actually find my own Parisian boyfriend. But. Do they even like korean girls? I'm no full korean, tho. But I very much look like one. Do they like not that skinny-type of girls? I would like to know if they would prefer girls in pants or skirts. Will someone even notice me if I actually wore no-make up?

But then, my mom snapped me out of my day-dream about Paris. Oh, that word even gave me goosebumps. She asked me again.

"Do you like to have a vacation?"

"Paris."

I exclaimed. My mom gave me a wierd look that I would very much translate to a 'no-no'.

"Sam, you're only 17 and you want to actually go to Europe? I'm talking more of a one-week Jeju Island trip."

"Mom! I've been to Jeju Island for almost a thousand times now. We've been having our family get-togethers every 3 months there. I want to experience a new nature, new people, new language."

"Hey, hey. Stop there. Don't you like it there? Jeju Island is actually one of the seven wonders of the world. Be proud! You should be thankful, i'm giving you another chance to visit there."

"You know, Paris, is more like it."

"I like Paris too, but after 4 years or so, i'll try to consider that."

"But mom, you know, a week in Jeju is not enough. But a week in Paris, maybe."

"No, it's a week in Jeju or no vacation at all. You can always stay here and have fun with us."

I was very pissed. I've been dreaming of having such a perfect vacation for my school break. And mom, probably tried to reconsider it. I've been on top of my whole school for decades and now that mom's actually acknowledging my efforts, she decided to give me a vacation, in Jeju. The place i've been for almost half of my life. What a vacation! I can't seem to rate how much I'm excited. Oh, sweet. Damn."

"Well, okay. But don't you think that it's very expensive if I log to a hotel? You know, as you said, Jeju's been to one of the seven wonder blah blah and I think that they'll be increasing their accomodations, you know. It'll really bug me to live in a hotel which can equal to my PARIS expenses. Well, can you just please recon-" Before I can finish my second try of pleading, mom took the spotlight.

"Actually, I already knew you'd say that. So, your dad and I, decided to buy a house near your Aunt Kee Hye's house. Your aunt bought it seven years ago and she can't maintain the place so she decided to sell it to us. So since, we're having most of our vacations in Jeju. We thought it would be a good Idea to buy it. Uhm. So, it's not that big but it's okay for a family to stay."

My eyes widened as I heard what my mom said. She bought a house. I mean, they bought a house. In Jeju. And its for us. So we'll have every vacation in Jeju. And. I will not be able to have a vacation in Paris. Not Ever. Because. I will be stuck in Jeju. And Paris will be. A dream. Oh, great. Just great.

Just then, a shout plugged me out.

"Eeeeeeeeiiiikkkkkkkkkkkkk." I was in the state of shock when my younger sister blast in the living room.

"Cassandra! What's the matter with you?" I shouted.

"Hey, unnie. I can't stop spazzing right now, OMG! OMG!" Cass blurted out. She switched on the tv. She continued.

"because it'll be another live performance from...." Cass dropped her jaw when the music started.

I hissed and sign.

"B1A4!!!!!" She squealed like a sea lion asking for fish and clapped like a dancing penguin.

"What's new?....." I said as mom and me glanced at each other and stepped out the living room.

Getting hooked with those kpop boybands. I love kpop but i'm not addicted to those who sang it.

I really appreciate their voices and skills but that's just that. No more than listening and getting into the sea lion part.

I don't get my sister getting so hooked up. Not at all. Especially, the B1A4 part.
