What is this strange feeling?

This feeling of happiness, jumping inside of me…but at the same time…

…there is a feeling of insecurity.

I don’t understand it.

“Ne, Horikita-san? Are you listening?”

Snap out of it, you idiot.

“Ah…I’m sorry…what was that?” I smiled at him apologetically. “N-Never mind then…”

You really are an idiot. There’s someone talking but you have something else going on inside that head of yours. And the one who’s talking is your long time crush.

But there’s a feeling of uncertainty that I cannot remove.

“Horikita-san, would you like to come with me to the convenience store?”  Senpai stopped and looked at me. I was kind of caught off guard. “Uh—“

“MAKI!!!”

We both looked behind us and saw Tegoshi running up the hill towards us. “T-Tegoshi?”

He stopped and panted. What’s going on? “Maki, can we talk?” “Um, Tegoshi—“

“Sorry, but we have to go somewhere.”

Senpai stood between us. Eh?

EH?!?!?

“Wait, what—“

Tegoshi smiled at Senpai for a few seconds. “Um, I’m sorry, but there’s something I have to tell her…”

I couldn’t see Koike-Senpai’s face. “Oh, I’m sorry, too, but…I was first.” Then he turned around and took my hand. “Let’s go?”

I should be happy right now, right?

I looked at Tegoshi , but I can feel my face burning. Then he gave me a gentle look. “I’ll be waiting at the park.”

Then I looked at Senpai. He’s still holding my hand. “Umm…Senpai?” “Yes?”

I lowered my head. “N…Nothing.”

Ugh…

What should I do…?

What is Tegoshi going to say to me?

I’m so confused with myself.

I like Koike-senpai…

But Tegoshi…

He’s dear to me.
