Kai's POV

'Kai ssi, Gwenchana?' The girl immediately asked me after Taemin hyung left, worries were written all over her face.

'Ne! Gwenchana! Shin Yee ssi, gomawo! Thanks for acting with me.' I gave her a reassuring smile and thanked her.

I was surprised that Taemin hyung didn't tell me that he had broken up with Hannah this morning. No explanation at all, not even the most common one like they were not compatible. He had chosen to keep the reason a secret. He never hid anything from me before. While the hyungs were fussing over it, I couldn't help but realized Taemin Hyung was looking elsewhere. Tracing his gaze, my vision fell on Min Hye sitting at the last row. Could it be...? He did show a lot of concerns for Min Hye after he rejected her. I thought he was just plain guilty for causing her grief. But everytime our conversation topics would always link to Min Hye. I needed to find out and the only way was to test him out.

'Cheonmaneyo! But I didn't know Taemin ssi can be so .. Fierce!' She stammered.

'Ne it was the first time I saw him like this too. At least it does prove ..' My voice trailed off as I pondered over my next step.

'What did you want to prove?' Her face zoomed in on me.

'Nothing! Kamsa hamnida once again. I got to go now' I waved good bye and hurried off. I knew what to do now since I knew that Taemin Hyung love Min Hye. I needed to get to Min Hye.

'Crap, why did the recess end so soon?' I muttered under my breath. I guessed all this had to wait till school over.

Min Hye's POV

'I had broken up with her.'

Taemin's word kept replaying in my mind.  So that was the cause of commotion on the bus this morning. Nobody could have guessed that they would break up. They were so compatible.  They were still fine in our discussion during the holiday. Why did they break up? Who initiated it? Was Taemin sad? Questions and questions kept popping up but I had no answer to any of them. His face was expressionless hinting nothing at all.

'Min Hye!' Eun Hee called.

'Oh! Mianhae Eun Hee.' I apologized when I realized I had been zoning out. She had specially called and invited me to join her for break after her meeting but my mind was constantly on Taemin. Mianhae Chingu! I apologized again in my mind.

'Gwenchana? You looked troubled.' Eun Hee asked worriedly.

'Aniyo, I guessed I didn't sleep enough.' I faked a yawn. 'Thanks Eun Hee!' 

Rrrriiinnngggg! The bell rang just then.

'Why did you ring so fast? I didn't have a chance to chat much with my chingu here!' Eun Hee grumbled making me chuckled at her expression.

'What are you laughing at?' Eun Hee pouted.

I just shook my head as I tried to suppress another round of laughter from bursting out.

'Kaja!' Eun Hee urged as she stood up. I followed her and we walked together back to our level.

'Min Hye!' Kai's voice rose from behind.

'Oppa!' I called back as I looked at him.

'When did he become your oppa?' Eun Hee nudged me at the side with a sly look. 'Did you two...' She raised a eyebrow at me.

'Aniyo! He's just my oppa. Don't spread any rumor!' I whispered as Kai approached us.

'Annyeong Eun Hee! Where is Jjong Hyung?' Kai asked.

'Who is that?' Eun Hee pretended.

'Eunnie baby!' Jonghyun's voice boomed out and he appeared next, hugging Eun Hee from the back.

'Ahhh! How many times must I tell you NOT to do this?' Eun Hee warned.

'Andwae'! Jonghyun shook his head vigorously. 'Baby I want to declare you as mine.' He showed his puppy eyes.

'You force me to do this..' She said softly. 'I, the student council vice president, hereby give you a warning. If you ever do that in public again, I will report to the principal to bar you from graduation.' Eun Hee snorted.

'You didn't mean it, did you?' Jonghyun stated.

'You can try!' Eun Hee smirked. 'Min Hye, I'll talk to you later! Kai, please accompany her on my behalf. See you!' Eun Hee walked off with a whining Jonghyun behind.

I couldn't help but to giggle at that scene. Jonghyun, Eun Hee didn't like PDA. I guessed you need to work harder.

Kai and I walked back to the homeroom. Taemin was already in class and he had a stern look on his face when Kai and I entered. 

What's wrong? He was perfectly fine earlier on. Why did he look so serious right now.

'Min Hye, let's go home together ok?' Kai asked after I sat down.

'Mwo?'

'I said LET'S GO HOME TOGETHER TODAY' He emphasized, his eyes roaming elsewhere.

'Oh!' so he was asking that. 'Ne!' I answered back.

'I'll talk to you later.' Kai said before he returned back to his seat.

As I settled down, an intense pressure weighed down on my back. I couldn't help but turned to steal a peek at the person behind me.

'Omo! Why do you look so fierce?' I patted my chest, calming my nerve when I came face to face with an angry looking Taemin.

'Aniyo! You think too much!' He turned away from me, anger was clearly plastered on his face. I shrugged my shoulder and turned back to the front. There's nothing much I could do if he was unwilling to share his troubles. I thought only girls were temperamental but apparently guys had their mood swing moment too.

However I didn't expect that I would be so affected by his mood for the rest of day. My mind was filled with thoughts related to him. Wondering what was wrong with him! Why did he break up? Was he the one who was ditched... It was already bad enough that I didn't pay attention in class but I was totally lost in my thoughts that I actually imagined Taemin and I being together. It was just a wishful thinking on my side. He might not even have the thoughts of getting a gf now. But the thoughts was so strong that I was totally preoccupied with it until Kai called me.

'Min Hye, what were you thinking? You've been in deep thoughts ever since class finished.' Kai enquired on our way to the bus stop. He deliberately took a smaller step at a time trying to match his pace with mine.

'I was just curious why did Taemin and Hannah break up and Taemin also behaved weirdly. I wonder if it was because of that?' I said as I walked. 'Oppa, what do you think?' I turned and looked for Kai but an empty space greeted me. I looked back down the path and saw Kai standing there, his face twisted as if he was troubled over something.

'Oppa why did you stop suddenly?' I asked while making my way towards him.

Kai raised his head and looked at me. When my eyes met his, sorrow flashed across his eyes briefly before replacing it with a smile.

'Min Hye!' Kai called.

'Ne!' I answered.

'I got something to tell you.' A cheeky smile spread across his lips as he wriggled his finger at me.

'Mwo?' I backed off and looked at him suspiciously.

'I know why Taemin break up with Hannah,' He replied with a smirk. 'Since you are not interested...' his voice trailed off.

'You know?' My volume increased and he nodded.

'Apparently he like another girl...' He paused.

Another girl? My heart sunk to the bottom once again.

'He rejected that girl before. And we know the girl.' Kai concluded, giving another stab to my already bleeding heart. Who was the girl? We were both rejected once by Taemin but apparently she had the upper hand.

'Arasseo!' I forced out an acknowledgement and smiled at him. 'Ok, shall we go now? I want to buy my favorite cake before the cafe closed.' I stepped out towards the bus stop.

'Don't you want to know who is the girl?' Kai probed. 

I stopped in my track. Should I ask who was it? Or should I not? A weigh landed on my shoulder while I was debating in my mind.
