Your honeymoon in Ireland only lasted 9 days and after those days were up, you had to return back to Korea and go back to your normal routines. Kevin was returning to U-Kiss and you were going to look for a job in some of the nearby shops. Kevin said that you didn’t need to work, but you didn’t want him to have to overwork himself just to support you guys.

The day you arrived back, U-Kiss met you at the airport, concealed of course. You didn’t want a crowd of fan girls chasing after them. It was good to see your oppas again. The member you had gotten closest to was Eli. He was like your older brother and he always protected you. You also got close to Soohyun, even though communicating was difficult. You loved them all and were happy to have them by your side.

You and Kevin returned to your apartment, exhausted from jetlag, and threw your luggage in your room. You could tell Kevin was really exhausted because he looked pale.

“Yeobo, go get some sleep. You need it. I’ll unpack everything, just rest.”

He nodded and gave you a kiss on the forehead before heading off to bed.

Even though you were new at being a wife, it was a wonderful feeling. You loved to take care of Kevin, just like he took care of you. It was an equal partnership. You the TV and set the suitcases of the couch and organized everything so it would be easy to put everything away in its proper place. The TV had the news channel and although you couldn’t understand it, the images that popped up on the screen usually helped. A news broadcaster was talking and a picture of a young woman showed up in the screen next to him. She had handcuffs on and she seemed to look familiar. Just then, a picture of Kevin showed up and you knew. It was about that crazy fangirl that had attacked you back in December. You were just about to call Eli, when the house phone rang.

“Hello?”

“_______, are you watching the news”, Eli said frantically.

“Neh, I was just about to call you. What are they saying?”

“They said that the fangirl who attacked you was released from jail yesterday.”

You had mixed emotions. You didn’t know if this girl would try and attack you again or if she learned her lesson and would leave you and Kevin alone.

“________, are you still there?”

“Yeah, I’m here.”

Suddenly, you felt an overwhelming feeling of nausea. You dropped the phone and quickly ran to the bathroom. You felt so sick, but once you were done puking you felt a little better. You looked at your face in the mirror and noticed you were a little pale and had broken out in a cold sweat. You didn’t know what was going on and you were scared. You returned to the phone.

“Eli, are you still there?”

“Yeah I’m here. What happened? I heard the phone crash or something.”

“I suddenly got this sick feeling in my stomach. I don’t know what’s going on. Can you take me to the hospital? I don’t want to wake Kevin. He was really tired and I don’t want to worry him.”

“Of course. I’ll be over in 10 minutes.”

12 minutes later you were in the passenger seat of Eli’s car. He was driving you towards the hospital. Everything up until now seemed fine and was going well, but now since you’re back in Korea, it seems everything is tumbling to the ground. You arrived at the hospital and sat with Eli in the waiting room. You still had this underlying nauseous feeling and you felt bloated like you had eaten a five course meal, but the truth was, you hadn’t eaten anything. 20 minutes later, you were sitting in an examination room and were now waiting for a doctor to come in and look you over. A female doctor came in and smiled at you. You brought Eli in because you couldn’t translate Korean. Seeing you were American, the doctor said in perfect, unaccented English,

“Hello, I’m Dr. Kim. What seems to be the problem?”

This doctor looked very familiar, like you’ve seen her before.

“Hello Dr. Kim. Have we met before? It feels like I’ve seen you somewhere.”

“Ah, you’re probably thinking of my son, Kim Kibum. Well, as he is known, Key.”

“You’re SHINee’s Key’s mother?!”

She started to chuckle at your surprised expression. “Yes I am. So what can I do for you today?”

“I suddenly started throwing up and I broke out in a cold sweat and my face looks pale. Oh, and I also started feeling bloated, like I ate a very big meal.”

“Hmm, I see. Let me do all the necessary doctor things and then I’ll be able to give a diagnosis.”

So you let Dr. Kim take your temperature, your blood pressure, and all the normal checkup things. Your temperature was normal and everything else seemed normal as well.

“Hmm, well I can’t seem to find anything abnormal. Tell me, are you ually active?”

Oh no. That question again. Going back to that moment when the doctor told you that you had lost your baby, brings tears to your eyes. So you quickly said,

“Yes, I’m married”, you said showing Key’s mom your wedding ring.

“Well, I’m going to give you a pregnancy test and then we’ll go from there.”
