“Chaerin.” I heard someone call my name as I snapped out of my thoughts.

I opened my eyes as I looked around spotting Jiyong right next to me.

“Sorry for dozing off.” I apologized as I sat up.

“You are right. So where did you go?”

“Just went to check if the food was ready. Turns out I burnt it. Do you mind if we order?” he asked

“Not at all” I said as I shifted slightly away from him.

He gave me a puzzled expression but nevertheless said nothing.

“So where is she?” I asked

“Upstairs. Sleeping.” He replied as he dialed some numbers on his phone.

I looked away. Too sad to even face him.

Why sad? Well maybe cause the reality had hurt me.

“What time are the guys coming?” I asked

I haven’t seen them in ages.

“So do you like the house?” he asked casually

“It’s really nice. Did you decorated?” I asked

“Nope. She wouldn’t let me. She wanted it her own way.”

I got up as I grinned at him until he finally turned his back and I was able to go back to my casual sad self. My eyes fell on the floor. Even their floor was prettier than me.

“Let’s go upstairs. Here, there’s only the kitchen and the living room which you have already seen.” He said as we both walked up the stairs. Everything was either white, shiny or a bright color.

I didn’t pay any attention until we reached the last room.

“Chaerin, you are here!” she said as she quickly jumped out of the enormous bed for 2 and hugged me. I hugged her back.

I haven’t ever hugged her before, why did she suddenly hug me now? Did she change that much?

“You made it!” she smiled warmly.

I really felt like throwing up. And I haven’t even eaten yet.

I can’t look her in the eyes without wanting to run away and hide.

“How is France?” she asked

“France is good. I found a good job. I’ll go back in some days.” I replied.
