He was never that gentle with me before. I think I know the reason why he is now.

“How have you been? how was your trip?” he asked as he closed the door behind me.

I stared at him questionably.

“it was fine. Just tring. You?” I, on the other hand really cared about him but well of course I couldn’t show it.

“If you insist.” I replied as I sat down on a white sofa.

“Is whine well for you?” he asked through the kitchen that happened to be connected with the living room.

I nodded as I tried to relax.

“By the way, what took you so long? I thought we said you would come by at 6. It’s already 7!” he said, annoyance visible in his voice.

I smiled. I clearly remember that he hates it when someone so late. Although he was never punctual himself.

“I’ve been busy.” I answered simply

“With what? Or should I ask with who?” he asked as he raised a brow.

“Yo-you know I have no love life.” I stuttered.

I kinda feel ashamed.

“As always” he replied as he got back with 2 glasses.

That hurt more than you’ll ever know.

“Don’t worry, you’ll always have your friends. We are here for you."

I highly doubt that.

“Since when exactly are we friends?” I asked laughing.

“Since 2 years ago. Remember?”

“How could I forget the glorious day when we shook hands for the first time? It was truly epic.” I mocked
