Oh, I will confess my heart for the first time.

Junkai frowned as Qianxi didn't wait for him the next day so he knocked on his neighbor's door.

The door opened and revealed Qianxi's mother.

"Oh, Kai! Why are you here? Are you looking for Yangyang?"

"Yes. Did he leave already?"

"Surprisingly, he woke up late today. Looks like he has a bit of a sleepless night last night."

"Oh. Please tell him I'll wait for him outside." Junkai smiled.

"Oh, okay." Qianxi's mom grinned.

Junkai was whistling while waiting for Qianxi when the latter patted his shoulder.

"You're early today." Qianxi mumbled.

"And you're late. What have you been doing last night?" Junkai raised an eyebrow.

"Thinking." Qianxi looked elsewhere.

"About?"

Qianxi just shrugged and so, Junkai chuckled.

At the cafeteria, Zhihong and Yinke noticed Qianxi's quietness.

"Did something happen yesterday at dance class, Qianxi?" 

Qianxi continued to play with his food, not hearing Yinke's question.

Yinke and Zhihong looked at each other in confusion.

"Hey Yi Yang Qianxi!" Zhihong whacked Qianxi's head.

"Hey, why did you hit me?" Qianxi caressed his whacked head.

"Thank goodness you're back on Earth." Zhihong sighed.

"What do you mean?"

"You've been spacing out for the last few hours. Even during class."

"I actually listened to class, you know." 

"Well, most of it. But still, did something happen yesterday?"

"Nothing." Qianxi looked at his food.

"You're so bad at lying, Qianxi." Zhihong smirked.

Qianxi only glared at Zhihong.

The bell rang and Zhihong immediately stood up.

"Well, I can't be late for Chemistry or Yuwen will kill me. I'll see you guys!" Zhihong left.

"So now that he's gone, you can tell me."

Qianxi looked at Yinke and sighed.

"Is it about Junkai?"

Qianxi nodded.

"What's wrong? You two entered the classroom together though."

"I... he told me something last night."

"What is it?" Yinke leaned over.

"I asked him if we were friends. He told me he wouldn't say that because it will sound awkward when he does. And before he left to go to his house, he told me..." Qianxi stopped as he looked at Yinke and gulped.

"What? What did he tell you?"

"That... that we're better off as lovers." Qianxi blushed.

Yinke gasped and covered his mouth.

"He... he really said that?" Yinke's eyes widen.

"I couldn't sleep last night because I can't believe that happened. And I don't even know what he means by that! Is he asking me out or is he just teasing me?"

"Why didn't you ask him this morning?"

"I... I didn't want it to get between us. I'm afraid to confront him about it." Qianxi bit his lip.

"How did you two act then, all the way here?"

"We were... just quiet. Weirdly enough, he was earlier than usual."

"You two, are you planning to skip classes?"

The two looked at the owner of the voice and saw Wutong.

"We just got carried away."

"Well, Junkai and I have been looking for the two of you. Next time, chat after school." Wutong crossed his arms.

"Next time, take Yinke out after school." Qianxi stuck his tongue.

"Hey Yi Yang Qianxi!" Wutong clicked his tongue.

"Well, my best friend is right." Yinke shrugged.

"And you're not siding with me?!" 

Yinke laughed.

"Is it rebelling time for the three of you?"

This time it was Junkai.

Qianxi gulped as Yinke took small glances at him.

"Junkai, they're bullying me." Wutong held unto Junkai's arm.

"You're so easy to bully, Wutong. Why are you even a captain?" Junkai chuckled.

"Seriously, you're going against me too?!"

"Let's go before Mr. Lau finds out we're not there."

The four ran to the classroom.

When the school bell rang, Junkai immediately held unto Qianxi's wrist.

"What is it?" Qianxi raised an eyebrow.

"Are you going home?"

"I'll go to the library..." Qianxi looked at Junkai and goodness, he knows that look.

That look that makes Qianxi wait for Junkai when he doesn't want to.

"I'll go to the library and then watch you practice." Qianxi smiled.

"Okay." Junkai grinned before leaving.

"You're so whipped for Wang Junkai." Yuwen laughed.

Qianxi can only sigh.

At the library, Yuhao sat next to Qianxi.

"You're so hardworking. Doing homework here." Yuhao chuckled.

"I just want to lie down when I get home. There's so many things on my mind lately." Qianxi sighed.

Yuhao only nodded as he work in silence.

After a while, Qianxi entered the gym and sat next to Yinke.

"You're here!" 

"Why wouldn't I be?"

"I don't know, maybe because you feel awkward around Junkai?" Yinke elbowed Qianxi's side.

"He wanted me here. I can't say no." Qianxi sighed.

"You're so whipped."

"Like you're one to talk. You had your first skipped class because of Wutong." Qianxi smirked.

"But unlike you, there's no platonic reason why I do it." Yinke smirked back.

"Why are you like this to me?" Qianxi whined.

Once the practice ended, Qianxi and Junkai rode the bus.

It was so quiet.

"Qianxi."

"What?"

"You should consider yourself lucky."

"Why should I?" Qianxi raised an eyebrow as he faced Junkai.

Junkai does the same and stared at Qianxi.

"Is us being friends so awkward?" Junkai tilted his head to the side.

"I don't know." Qianxi sighed.

"You do know."

"Maybe I do."

"Then answer it."

Qianxi bit his lip as he looked at the window.

"Yi Yang Qianxi, I really like you."

Qianxi slowly turned to Junkai and saw the latter fumbling with his fingers.

"W-What?"

"I've never confessed before so I don't really know what to do but... I really like you, Qianxi."

Qianxi took one of Junkai's hand.

"Your hand is sweating." Qianxi chuckled.

"Are you making fun of me?" Junkai whined.

"I'm not." Qianxi smiled.

"Then tell me, Qianxi. Do you like me too?"

Qianxi intertwined their fingers.

"Of course I do." 

"R-Really?"

"I'd never do things I do for you to anyone else, you know." 

"So... we're not just friends now?"

"I don't know. Maybe?" Qianxi looked at the window again to hide his blush.

"Then lovers, it is." Junkai grinned.

"Okay. Lovers then." Qianxi secretly grinned as well.

Once he's inside his room, Qianxi jumped to his bed and texted his best friend.

Qianxi: Yinke!

Yinke: Let me guess, is it about Junkai?

Qianxi: Yes!

Yinke: You seem happy... don't tell me... 

Qianxi: He confessed to me!

Yinke: What?! You're Wang Junkai's first confession?! 

Qianxi: I can't believe it myself!

Yinke: Good job, Yi Yang Qianxi for owning that title!

Qianxi: I just can't believe it.

Yinke: Believe it now because by now, you're not Wang Junkai's number 1 best friend. You're now his first and hopefully last lover. I'm so happy for you.

Qianxi: Thanks, Yinke. For everything.

Yinke: That's what friends are for.

Qianxi received another text but not from Yinke.

Kai: You'll be early tommorow, right?

Qian: Don't worry. I'll wait for you.

Kai: I know you will so I'll be as early as you are.

Qian: Mr. Huang will be happy to see you.

Kai: Don't tease me, Yi Yang Qianxi.

Qian: Sorry, sorry. Sleep early so you'll get enough rest.

Kai: You too. Goodnight.

Qian: Goodnight.

Qianxi smiled. Is this actually real?
