Shower Incident

Sweat

Hoya got up from his bed. He had one of the worst nights in his whole life. He was pretty sure he just slept for half an hour, if that much. His mind was having the most depressing thoughts in the world, and he honestly had no idea why he had them. It made no sense. Everything was perfect. Infinite was successful, Infinite was winning awards, they were beloved by many fans. Everyone was happy and everyone was doing what they loved the most, one way or the other. So why should he even bother to have such emo thoughts?

He should be happy and thankful for everything he had, so he was just being an idiot. “Time to get up!”Slowly, he got up from his very comfortable bed and allowed his whole body to stretch. He was so tired, he was so exhausted, but even so, he decided he would start this day in a positive way. He would start this day as he should start every single one. He looked around and noticed Sungjong wasn't on the room. It was a little weird because the magnae was usually the last to wake up, no matter what. He grabbed his cell phone and noticed how late it was. 11AM. He slept so much, and that didn't look like him at all. And why haven't the other member woke him up?

He walked into the living room and he saw Sunggyu watching TV lazily with a small smile on his face. Hoya continued staring to the older man, not really sure of what he should say to be noticed. Weren't they suppose to be at practice? Weren't they suppose to be practicing for their performance? So why was the leader watching TV and why was he allowed to stay in bed until 11AM? “Oh, Morning Hoya!” Sunggyu said with a bright smile and Hoya couldn't help but raise a brow. Wasn't the older man pissed at him because of what he did the day before at practice? So, why was he reacting like that? He seat next to the older man and continued staring at him. “Hyung...” he called but Sunggyu didn't stop staring at the screen. He just moved his head, showing he was hearing what the younger man wanted to say. “...Why are we here?” He asked and he saw Sunggyu smile. “Oh, Hyung said we needed to take the day off. He said that you looked stressed and that it could affect all of us, so he said that we could do whatever we wanted today. But tomorrow, he said it's going to be painful.” Hoya was more confused than before. He looked to Sunggyu who wasn't looking away from the TV. He didn't understood. It made no sense. Why would the manager do something like that? It wasn't like he was complaining, on the contrary. A free day was a free day and was more than welcome.

“Hyung, I'm sorry for yesterday.” Hoya apologized and this made Sunggyu look at him. They were staring at each other for a while. The leader was looking at him with a serious face but then smiled at him making many of Hoya's worries fly away. “It's okay Hoya. I understand.” The leader paused. “We can't all have good days. We're human.” Another pause and the main dancer was waiting for the last words. Sunggyu always had the last words, no matter what and those smiles were probably just a cover up of his anger. Or maybe, just maybe, Woohyun managed to calm down the leader with his sweet talk and a little more. Hoya didn't want to know what that little more was, not at all. He was happy not knowing. “But if you mess up again, I'll make your life a leaving hell.” Hoya knew it. Sunggyu was being weirdly cute and nice. He knew it was all a cover up to hide how really pissed he was. “I promise I won't mess up again.” Sunggyu smiled brightly at that and continued watching his show. Hoya just looked down to his hands. He wasn't going to mess up, he really wasn't. He was going to work hard, he was going to make everyone praise him for his hard work and the managers would say that he made up for that horrible day.

Hoya looked around. The dorm was strangely quiet and it was weird because...hey, they were 7 men. Being quiet wasn't their strong point. “Where are the others?” He asked while looking around. No one was in the kitchen and the rooms had the doors open, so no one was there. “Hm?” Sunggyu asked, not hearing the younger man's question. “Where is everyone?” He asked and the older just moved a little, making himself a little more comfortable on the floor. Hoya couldn't help but notice the older had Myungsoo's bamboo pillow. Their visual was going to be pissed when he found out someone stole it from him. “Oh, Woohyun and Myungsoo went shopping. Probably went to spend everything they have on clothes.” Hoya stood silent, wanting to hear more, because, he wanted to know where in the world the others were. “The other 3 went to....where did they go?” Sunggyu asked himself scratching his head. “I don't remember...they probably went to eat something...” Hoya just nodded. Of course Sunggyu didn't know. When they had their time off, Sunggyu would shut down his leader side. He would just tell everyone to be careful and not to do embarrassing things. Besides that, he would act like a normal guy who wasn't an idol and just had a free day from work and could do anything he wanted.

“They probably went to eat meat. Sungjong is being complaining that he's too thin and he wants to get more muscle. He says that maybe like that people will believe he's a guy.” Hoya said and the leader looked at him from the corner of his eyes. “You've been influencing him too much.” The dancer smiled at that. It was a lie. Sungjong came up with those ideas all by himself and they all knew it, but this was Sunggyu's way to tease the younger man. “I'm going to take a shower since the bathroom is actually free!” Hoya said as he got up. The older nodded but got up as well, as he turned off the TV. “I'm going to change clothes. Want to go out and grab something to eat?” The older asked and Hoya nodded. He needed to catch some fresh air before his brain decided he should have another round of depressing thoughts. “Sure. I won't take long.” Sunggyu nodded and both men went to their respective rooms. Sunggyu closed the door behind him even thought he didn't had to. It was force of habit probably.

Hoya looked around his closet and grabbed the first thing he saw. It was a simple outfit really. A purple shirt and a pair of dark jeans. Nothing too fancy and nothing that would make him stand out in a crowd. It was perfect. “Free day!” He said to himself with a smile. He didn't know why, but he felt really happy. He did. For some stupid, idiotic reason, he felt incredibly happy with himself and nothing would make him feel like last night. Why he had those thoughts in the first place was a secret to him, but honestly, he didn't want to know. He was in a good mood even thought he was pretty sure he looked like crap and had huge dark circles under his eyes.

He grabbed a warm towel from the drawer and walked towards the bathroom. He really wanted a hot, relaxing shower before he went outside with Sunggyu. He wasn't really hungry, but he didn't mind going out for a little while. It was that or stay at home, bored and maybe he was going to think too much and then he would be depressed again, and then he would mess up another practice again. “Stop thinking! You become stupid when you think!” He scolded himself as he opened the bathroom door. “You should be forbidden from thinking. It's a mistake, it's wrong and you start making huge movies inside your head. Just...stop it!” he was talking alone, but then again, he did that many times, so it wasn't anything knew.

As he opened the bathroom door, he didn't notice it was a lot warmer than usual. He was looking down to his feet as he kept talking to himself, completely disconnected to the outside world. He closed the door behind him and placed the towel on top of the sink. He looked at himself in the mirror and almost laughed at his horrible state. “I doubt fans will recognize me!” He whispered and then started taking off his shirt. He threw the piece of fabric to the floor but as he did it, he heard a loud scream. A really, really loud scream. “DUDE! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?” He looked to the side and he saw a Dongwoo, who obviously just left the shower, trying his best to cover himself with his towel but failing miserably.

“WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? YOU SHOULDN'T BE HERE!” He shouted as well as he grabbed his dry towel to cover up his exposed chest. Dongwoo had his cheeks dark red and Hoya was probably the same. This was, without a doubt, the most embarrassing situation in the world. The younger couldn't help but think of that stupid day they all went to the public showers. Yes, all the bromance was an act and they were wearing shorts. It was freaking horrible and awkward! Hoya never saw Dongwoo , not even once, but now, he was seeing the older as the day he was born. “GET OUT! GET OUT!” the older shouted as he threw his own clothes to the dancer's face. Hoya opened the bathroom door in a very messy way and closed it before the shampoo bottle the older threw hit his face. He stood there, with his hitting the door and all he could hear was his heart-beat. What the hell just happened?

Chapter 16: This was just too cute! The way everyone reacted and how yadong responded to their questions when they got together was so funny! I really liked this story. It took Hoya long enough to realize his feelings but that's okay because he's just a shy baby in denial of his feelings.
