What's Wrong?

Sweat

“1, 2, 3” Sunggyu started saying as all the members followed him in dance. They were practicing for another performance, and as always, they had to be perfect. They couldn't allow their fans to see any flaw. They had to show what Infinite was really about, what they were capable of. As always, they had been practicing the same song over and over again. They knew all the moves perfectly, and they could even dance with their eyes closed, but as always, their managers, their choreographers and themselves didn't thought it was enough.

They were used to be in sync all the time, and if they weren't, people would notice. The press was waiting for them to mess up and do something wrong so they could flame the perfect boys. They weren't involved in any scandal since their debut, so it was only natural that everyone who didn't like them, and some who did, were waiting for one of them to do even the slightest mistake, on stage or off stage, so being the group they were, they couldn't allow themselves to do it. They couldn't give those people what they wanted and they wouldn't do wrong things. It wasn't like them to do, and they wouldn't start doing it either.

They were giving all they got on that practice. At least, six of them, because one member in particular was doing the exact opposite of all the others. Besides acting weird, he was being off. He couldn't get the steps straight and that was what was weird. He was their lead dancer. How could he not be perfect? How could he not be better than the others? The others stopped dancing and they all looked to him. “Ya! Hoya, what's wrong with you?”

Sunggyu asked a little pissed. He was tired, he was sleepy and the way Hoya was behaving. It was so not like him and it was bothering all of them. They weren't going home because of their lead dancer. They were stuck on that hot dance room for god knows how many hours. “Get your act straight Hoya. I want to go home and if you don't pull yourself together, I'll kill you!” Sunggyu was really pissed and he would probably say something worst if it wasn't for Woohyun who placed his hand on his shoulder and tried to calm down their leader. The older looked to Woohyun and just tried to smile. He was trying his best to calm down, but Hoya was touching a nerve on the leader and he knew it.

And hated it. Hoya was suppose to be perfect when it came to dancing. He wasn't suppose to be such a mess. The manager noticed the tension between the members and decided he had to do something about it. “Guys, we're going home. You all need to rest. We'll continue practice tomorrow morning after you all rest.” Hoya was thankful to his manager. If it wasn't for him, he would still be messing up the moves and he would still make the other members pissed and ready to kill him. He had to rest, he had to put his thoughts in order.

He looked to his manager and thanked him silently. Without saying a word, he went to grab his bag. He grabbed his water bottle and started drinking. He could feel the sweat dripping down his back and it was making him a little uncomfortable. He hated to sweat, and to his luck, he was probably the member who sweat the most. He would drip water from his body after 2 minutes of practice. “Idiot...” he mumbled to himself and when he was ready to leave the room with the other members, he bumped against one.

“Yah!” He saw the older turn and shout at him. “Look where you're going Hoya! It's bad enough you kicked me during practice.” Hoya looked down and apologized. He knew the older had all the reasons to be mad. He had hurt him pretty bad, and if Hoya didn't know better, he was sure he had messed up Dongwoo's knee for a while. He didn't meant it. He would never hurt s on purpose or as a joke.

And he would never put Infinite performances in danger. And he really doesn't know how he managed to kick Dongwoo's knee to start with. One moment they are practicing “Paradise” and on the other the older man is on the floor complaining how bad it hurts. But even like that, he still managed to dance better than Hoya. So yeah, if an injured man could dance better than him at that point, it meant Hoya was being incredibly bad and had no idea of what he was doing. “I'm sorry Hyung....” Dongwoo stopped glaring and looked to the younger man. “....Is everything...alright?” He asked.

Either of them was good with feelings. While Dongwoo showed the world how he was feeling and showed when he was sad or happy, Hoya was quiet and just smiled, even when he was angry at the world. And besides, they were hardly good at talking with each other. While Hoya liked to stay in a corner and listen to music, Dongwoo would be playing with all members, specially Myungsoo and now Sungyeol. Since Sungyeol became their roommate, the dorm became a lout louder and it was hard for them to sleep.

You just can't put 3 hyper guys together. It's just wrong. Hoya actually managed to sleep, but sometimes it was just too annoying, but since they were 3 and he was just one, he decided to keep quiet. As always. He never complained to be exact. Even the managers told him he should complain more, that one day he would have a heart attack because he was repressing so much anger, but his answer would always be the same. “Why bother?” He would just grab his iPod and listen to music and ignore the rest of the world, even if it was making his blood boil.

“Fine.” Dongwoo nodded and went to meet the other members in the van. The talks between the two were just plain awkward. Either of them knew what to do, what to say. It had been like that since they were trainees. The only decent conversation they had was when both of them were completely wasted after winning their first number 1 and they couldn't remember what they said, because as all drunk conversations, it didn't made sense at all. “Hyung, you alright?” Hoya looked to the side and he saw Myungsoo stare at him with a raised brow. “Fine.” He knew he didn't sound convincing, but he also knew the younger wouldn't keep asking him what was wrong and why was he messing up so much at practice.

Myungsoo was the kind of guy that allowed things to pass right through him if they hadn't anything to do with him. And he had better things to care about like, why was he still begging Sungyeol to go out with him. He was freaking gorgeous and all girls on the planet would kill for a chance with him. But no. the older man had to play hard to get. He had to do tease Myungsoo, and the worst part was, Myungsoo actually found it fun! He was pretty messed up, but the others didn't need to know.

Hoya seat on his usual sit, on the back of the van. Not wanting to give any explanations to the members of his weird behavior, he closed his eyes and started listening to music. What the hell was wrong with him? There had to be an explanation to why he was messing up so much, there had to be an explanation to why in the world he wasn't being capable of doing the easiest moves. Even a five year old could do better than him.

Even a person with no dance experience could do a better job than him. Why was he being so unprofessional? It was all a matter of time. It was a matter of time before the manager told him their CEO wanted to speak to him and it was a matter of time before the CEO told him he had to step up his game or he was out. And he couldn't be out! Infinite was all he had! He worked so hard to be there, he worked so hard to be with all of them. He couldn't allow himself to be left out. He just couldn't. If that happened, his worst nightmare would come true, and that couldn't happen. It couldn't, and it wouldn't! No, it wouldn't, of course not! “Hoya, Hoya!” He opened his eyes and looked to Dongwoo. The younger looked to the rapper and then around. There was no one else in the van. “Are you alright? You were sweating and talking a lot!” The older and Hoya just grabbed his things and passed by the older. His head was hurting so much, he couldn't even think straight. He just wanted to go to his bed and nothing else. Dongwoo kept looking to him and couldn't help but wonder why Hoya was acting so weird. The younger turned at him and then looked away. “I'm fine....”

Chapter 16: This was just too cute! The way everyone reacted and how yadong responded to their questions when they got together was so funny! I really liked this story. It took Hoya long enough to realize his feelings but that's okay because he's just a shy baby in denial of his feelings.
