Arguments

Deal? Deal.

Ah Ran is driving her car and So Eun is sitting on the passenger's seat.

“We're supposed to buy clams right,” Ah Ran asks.

“Yes. We're making clam soup today,” So Eun replies.

“Okay.”

“I know a good market that sells clams.”

“You do?”

“Yes. It's actually stores that you shop outside.”

“That's so cool. Tell me where to go, and I'll take us there.”

“Okay.”

So Eun tells her where to go, and soon, they arrive at the market.

“If we keep walking straight,” So Eun says. “We'll arrive at the clam store.”

“Okay,” Ah Ran says.

They are walking and observing the market. Many people have food stalls, and many people are selling fruits and vegetables.

“Where did master go,” So Eun asks.

“He went out,” Ah Ran replies.

“With Ji Hyun?”

“Yeah.”

“Doesn't that bother you?”

“Why should it bother me?”

“Because he's your husband.”

“He may be my husband, but we didn't marry out of love. We married because our parents wanted us to.”

“So you're not jealous of him?”

“Why should I be? He can do whatever he wants. I don't care.”

“When I think about it, I feel so bad for the both of you. You have to live with the person you don't love.”

“Yeah, but what can I do? This is what my parents want.”

They arrive at the clam shop.

“This is the shop right,” Ah Ran asks.

“Yes,” So Eun replies.

“Hello, ladies. What would you like today,” the woman running the store asks.

“Hello,” Ah Ran says. “We would like to buy some clams today.”

“Alright. How much?”

Ah Ran tells the lady how much they need, and the lady gives them the clams in a plastic bag. Ah Ran pays the lady and they go on there way.

“Do you want to eat anything,” Ah Ran asks. “I'll pay.”

“No. It's okay. Maybe we should just go home.”

“But I want to eat.”

Ah Ran stops at a bread shop. She asks how much the bread is, and the store owner tells her. Ah Ran buys two, one for her and one for So Eun, and they start to eat.

“Thank you,” So Eun says.

“You're welcome. If you want anything else, just tell me.”

“Okay.”

Ah Ran buys them some meatballs on a stick, some chips, and cold drinks.

“Let's go home,” So Eun says. “The others are waiting for us.”

“Before we go,” Ah Ran says. “I have to buy some food for me.”

“But we already have the clams.”

“I'm allergic to seafood.”

“Oh. Really? Okay. Let's go buy something.”

Ah Ran ends up buying herself some more of the meatballs on the stick.

As they make their way out of the shop, a group of men runs into them making them stumble back.

“Oh my gosh,” the man in the front yells. “Watch where you're going will you!”

“Excuse me? You were the one who ran into us,” Ah Ran says standing her ground.

“What?” The man scoffs and his two other friends start to crowd them. “This woman must be crazy. A simple sorry isn't so hard to say you know.”

“I'm not a one who should say sorry. You're the one who should say sorry.”

“Ah Ran, let's just apologize and go,” So Eun says afraid.

“I will not. We did nothing wrong,” Ah Ran says.

“Little girl,” the man says. “Just apologize and go on your merry way.”

“I will not go until you apologize to me and my friend.”

“You sure like to talk back. I like girls like that. Why don't you and your friend here come play with us?”

“How about you just apologize and go on your merry way?”

The man laughs, so his friends laugh too.

“I love it,” the man shouts. “Let's go.”

He grabs Ah Ran’s hand, but she yanks it away from him.

“Don't touch me,” Ah Ran says.

They start to attract a crowd.

“Come on,” the man says. “Come play with me. I'll give you whatever you want.”

“I don't want to play with you. I just want you to apologize to me.”

So Eun hides behind Ah Ran.

“Fine. I'm sorry. Satisfied,” the man asks.

Ah Ran grabs So Eun’s hand and starts to pull her away, but the man stops them.

“Where do you think you're going,” he asks.

“Move,” Ah Ran says stern.

“What if I don't. What are you going to do about it?”

Ah Ran opens to speak, but another person’s voice is heard.

“Is something wrong,” the deep voice asks.

Ah Ran turns around to see who was talking, and to her surprise, it was Hyun Woo. Ji Hyun is standing next to him.

“This has nothing to do with you,” the man says. “Go away.”

“This has everything to do with me,” Hyun Woo objects. He walks toward Ah Ran leaving Ji Hyun behind and wraps his arm around Ah Ran’s shoulder. He pulls Ah Ran close to him. “She's my wife.”

“You're wife,” the man asks.

“If you don't want trouble, I suggest you take you and your friends and get out of here.”

The man scoffs and motions for his friends to leave with him.

When the men are out of sight, Ah Ran pulls away from Hyun Woo.

“Thank you for helping us out,” Ah Ran says. “I'm sorry for ruining your date. Let's go So Eun.”

Ah Ran turns around and starts walking away. So Eun follows.

Hyun Woo watches as Ah Ran gets further away from him.

“Excuse me,” a man asks Hyun Woo.

Hyun Woo turns around and feels a fist make contact with his jaw. Hyun Woo stumbles to the ground. When he looks up to see who it is, he sees the man from earlier.

“Are you okay,” Ji Hyun asks. She rushes to his side.

“You have a wife,” the man asks. “What a joke. If that girl was your wife than who is that beside you? Are you cheating on her? I may be a rude, but at least I don't cheat on my girl.”

Hyun Woo pulls himself up. Ji Hyun follows him.

So Eun hears the commotion and turns around. “Ah Ran,” she says. “I think master is in trouble.”

Ah Ran stops and turns around.

“At least I don't push ladies around like you do,” Hyun Woo says.

“Pushing his better than cheating,” the man says. “I'm going to meet her again, and sincerely ask her out. Even if she is your wife, I don't care. She deserves better than you.”

Anger rises in Hyun Woo, so he punches the man making everyone gasp.

Seeing the commotion, Ah Ran runs to them again. So Eun follows her.

“Say that again jerk,” Hyun Woo threatens the man. “I'll make sure you're ruined.”

The man wipes his lip. “I'll ask her out, and treat her better than you ever did.”

Hyun Woo holds up his fist and takes a step toward the man, but Ah Ran runs up to him and stops him. She puts her hand on his shoulders.

“Stop,” she shouts. “You shouldn't cause violence here.”

Seeing that Ah Ran is in front of him, he puts his fist down and backs away from the man. Hyun Woo glares at him before he marches away.

Ji Hyun follows him.

Ah Ran does the same thing, and So Eun apologizes to the man before she follows Ah Ran.

“Are you okay,” Ji Hyun asks.

“He just got me so mad,” Hyun Woo says.

“Does it hurt?”

She asks gently touching his jaw.

Ah Ran stops in front of Hyun Woo, so Hyun Woo and Ji Hyun stops too.

“What is wrong with you,” Ah Ran asks angry. “Why would you hit someone?”

“He started it,” Hyun Woo says annoyed.

“That doesn't mean you can hit him.”

“He hit me first. That gives me permission to hit him back.”

“That doesn't mean you should hit him.”

So Eun catches up to them and stands beside Ah Ran.

“What do you know,” Hyun Woo asks annoyed.

“That's right I don't know, so explain to me why you hit him.”

“Forget it,” Hyun Woo says after a pause. “I'll see you at home.”

Hyun Woo walks away, and Ji Hyun follows.

“What's with him,” Ah Ran asks.

“I don't know, but we should get going. Come on,” So Eun says.

So Eun pulls Ah Ran to her car.

“What took you two so long,” the head worker asks.

“We ran into trouble,” So Eun says. She explains everything to the workers.

“Is master okay,” the head worker asks.

“He didn't look okay to me,” So Eun says.

“Please give me this for dinner,” Ah Ran says giving them the meatballs. “I can't eat clam soup.”

Ah Ran walks away after leaving the bag of meatballs.

“Is she okay,” the worker asks.

“Her and master are having troubles because of the accident,” So Eun replies.

Ah Ran walks to the living room, and Hyun Woo and Ji Hyun happens to be there as well.

“Let's go,” Ji Hyun says.

She wraps her arms around Hyun Woo’s arm.

“I'll apply some ointment on for you,” she continues.

Ji Hyun drags Hyun Woo to his room.

“Stay here,” Hyun Woo says. “I'll go bring the first aid kit.”

He enters his room and grabs the first aid kit in the bathroom.

Ji Hyun walks in, but Hyun Woo stops her.

“You know you can't be in here,” he says.

“Why not? Your parents aren't home, and I feel jealous every time I come here. I bet you two sleep together every night.”

“No. We don't. We sleep separately.”

“I'm still jealous.”

“You shouldn't be. Come on. Let's go somewhere else.”

Hyun Woo takes Ji Hyun to the back yard.

Ah Ran sees them, and she doesn't care, but she does want to know why Hyun Woo punched the man.

When dinner came along, Ji Hyun is still there, so she joins them at the dining table. Ji Hyun and Hyun Woo are sitting together while Ah Ran is sitting on her mom’s chair.

“Your special request,” the head worker says.

She sets the bowl of meatballs in front of Ah Ran.

“Thank you,” Ah Ran replies.

“Let's eat,” Hyun Woo says.

Everyone starts to eat including the workers.

Ah Ran only touches the meatballs and rice in front of her since everything else is seafood.

Hyun Woo notices that, but he ignores it.

Ji Hyun scoffs to herself as she watches the workers eat with them.

“When did your worker have the permission to join the table,” Ji Hyun asks.

“They’ve always had permission,” Hyun Woo says. “They just didn’t eat with us until a few days ago.”

Ji Hyun rolls her eyes and continue to eat.

After dinner, Ah Ran helps the workers clean again while Hyun Woo bids Ji Hyun farewell.

“Is she always working,” Ji Hyun asks.

“Yeah, and I don't know why,” Hyun Woo replies.

They hug and kiss and Ji Hyun leaves.

Hyun Woo walks up to his room and gets ready for bed.

After Ah Ran is done, she goes to their bedroom and gets ready for bed as well.

Ah Ran is lying on her side of the bed, while Hyun Woo is lying on the ground at his usual spot.

“Tell me,” Ah Ran says. “Why you hit the man earlier.”

There is a pause.

“He called me a cheater,” Hyun Woo says. “He said I was cheating on you. He says you deserve better than me. What does he know to judge me like that? I got mad and punched him. I wasn't planning to. It just happened that way.”

“I’m not in the position to be telling you this, but I feel that I have to. Please be careful next time. You could seriously be injured.”

“Thanks, but I don’t need your words of wisdom. Goodnight.”

He turns his back to her and closes his eyes.

She does the same thing.

The next day, Ah Ran is doing what she usually does, and Hyun Woo takes his car to the mechanics like he said he would.

After a few hours, he comes back with his car all fixed. He walks to his room and throws his wallet on the bed. Hyun Woo heads downstairs again and joins his parents in the living room.

“Is your car okay,” his dad asks him.

“It’s fine. I just needed to change the ignition,” Hyun Woo replies.

A knock on the door is heard, so Hyun Woo goes answer it. To his surprise, Ji Hyun is at the door.

“What are you doing here,” Hyun Woo asks surprised.

“I came to visit mom and dad. I even bought a gift,” Ji Hyun replies as she shows him the basket.

“Come in.”

Hyun Woo steps aside, and Ji Hyun walks in.

“Hello, mom and dad,” Ji Hyun says with a smile on her face.

Hyun Woo shuts the door.

Ji Hyun sits down on the couch.

“I brought a present,” Ji Hyun says.

She hands them a fruit basket.

“Thank you,” his mom says. “You shouldn’t have.”

“But I wanted to,” Ji Hyun says with a smile.

“You really shouldn’t have. We have enough even without your generosity.”

Ji Hyun frowns, and Hyun Woo sits next to Ji Hyun.

“Mom, at least be grateful,” Hyun Woo says.

His mom doesn’t say anything.

“Yeri,” his dad says. “Please take these to the kitchen.”

“Yes, sir,” Yeri says.

She takes the basket to the kitchen.

“Ahh,” Ah Ran screams.

“What happened,” the head worker asks.

“This tomato just splattered all over me,” Ah Ran says. “Let me go change. I’ll be back.”

Ah Ran walks past the living room and goes upstairs to change into a new shirt. When she is done, Ah Ran walks out the bedroom door, but bumps into Ji Hyun.

“Are you always working,” Ji Hyun asks in a cocky way.

“Yes. I am,” Ah Ran replies.

“How pathetic. Hyun Woo’s wife should always be by his side. Not working like a slave.”

“At least I’m working and not sitting around. I’d rather help out than watch other people work for me.”

“Pathetic.”

“The pathetic one right now is you. I’m minding my own business and you’re here picking a fight with me.”

Ji Hyun didn’t know what to say.

“Please excuse me,” Ah Ran says.

She heads back to the kitchen. Ah Ran is busy cooking, but after a few minutes, a worker comes call her.

“Master is looking for you,” she says. “He's in your bedroom.”

Ah Ran stops what she is doing and heads to the bedroom.

“What is it,” Ah Ran asks.

“You came into the room earlier right,” Hyun Woo asks.

“I did.”

“And what did you do?”

“Changed into a new shirt.”

“Is that all you did?”

“What else could I have done?”

“If you didn't do anything else then where's my money?”

“What money?”

“The three hundred in my wallet. Where did it go?”

“How should I know? I didn't take it.”

“But you were the only one in the room.”

“Maybe you dropped it when you went out this morning.”

“I didn't. I would've known.”

“Well I didn't take it.”

“Then who did!”

“I don't know!”

“Is something wrong,” his mom asks.

The two of them turn to the door. His mom, dad, and Ji Hyun are there.

“We heard you shouting,” his dad says.

“Someone stole the three hundred in my wallet,” Hyun Woo says.

“What,” his dad asks shocked.

Ji Hyun walks over to Hyun Woo’s side.

“And he thinks I did it,” Ah Ran says. “Which I didn't!”

“If you didn't then who did,” Hyun Woo asks mad.

“I don't know,” Ah Ran says frustrated.

“Stop yelling,” his mom says. “Did anyone else enter this room today?”

“Not that I know of,” Ah Ran replies. “I only came in here once today to change my shirt.”

“Was anyone else here when you came,” his dad asks.

“Not in the room with me, but Ji Hyun was outside of our bedroom.”

“Don't look at me,” Ji Hyun says. “I only came to use the bathroom and stumbled upon Ah Ran.”

“If you didn't who did,” his mom asks.

“Ji Hyun wouldn't steal, mom,” Hyun Woo protests.

“I wasn't blaming her,” his mom says. “I was asking a question.”

“Call all the workers,” his dad commands. “Now.”

Everyone is in the living room. All the workers are standing in front of Hyun Woo, his parents, and Ji Hyun. Ah Ran is standing with So Eun.

“Have any of you entered Hyun Woo’s room today,” his dad asks.

“No, sir,” the head worker replies.

“Then how did the three hundred in his wallet disappear? Speak up now. If you do, we won't punish you. If you don't, and we find the cash on you, you'll be fired.”

None of the workers came forward.

“Speak up,” his dad says stern.

“Sir, we really didn't steal it. We're busy doing our own work that we don't even have time to go upstairs,” the head workers says.

“Fine. If no one is willing to step out, don't be sorry when we catch you. Dismiss.”

All of the workers slowly walk away.

“What's going to happen,” So Eun asks Ah Ran. “Are we really going to get fired?”

“Don't worry, if you didn't steal the money, you'll be fine,” Ah Ran says.

“I know that, but I don't want my friends to get fired.”

“If they didn't steal, they won't get fired. You trust that your friends didn't steal right?”

“No one will steal. No one ever has.”

“Then you guys aren't the culprit. Don't worry.”

Everyone is still sitting on the couch. Hyun Woo is mad, and Ji Hyun is trying to calm him down.

“I wouldn't care if they asked me,” Hyun Woo says. “If they really needed the money, they could just come and ask. Why did they have to steal?”

“Just think of it as charity,” his mom says. “You're doing a good deed, honey.”

Hyun Woo sighs.

A few days have past and Hyun Woo is still trying to figure out who took his money. He's asked Ah Ran a few more times, but she keeps telling him, “I don't have it. If you don't believe me go ahead and search my belongings. You won't find your money.”

He doesn't know what to do.

One day, Ji Hyun comes and visits him. They are sitting in the living room with his parents, and Ji Hyun said she needs to go to the bathroom.

As Hyun Woo is waiting for Hyun Ji, he looks for his cellphone. It's not in his pocket, nor is it in the living room. He walks to his room and sees Ji Hyun standing beside the bed. He sees her reaching for the bed, and then she pulls something out of her pocket.

“Ji Hyun,” he says.

She jumps upon hearing him. Ji Hyun quickly turns around and gasps. Her hands are behind her.

“Hyun Woo,” she stutters. “What are you doing here?”

”I came to get my phone,” he answers.

He walks into the room slowly.

“What are you doing here,” he asks.

“Uh. I.”

“What are you holding behind you?”

“Uh. Um.”

He grabs her hands and pulls them to the front. To his surprise, Ji Hyun is holding the money that he lost.

“Why do you have this,” he asks.

“I. Uh.”

“Were you the one who took this?”

“Yes. No. I mean.”

“You can't lie to me. I know when you're lying.”

She doesn't know what to say.

“Why,” he asks.

“I needed money,” she says in a shaky voice.

“For what?”

She doesn't reply.

“Fine. Don't tell me your reason, I'm sure you had a legitimate reason why you took the money.”

“I don't need it anymore,” she says.

She extends her hand over to him.

“If you need it, take it,” he says.

“No,” she says putting the money into his hand. “I'm sorry I took it in the first place.”

She hugs him hoping he'd forgive her.

He hugs her back and tells her that it's okay.

Later that night, after Hyun Woo and Ah Ran are finished taking a shower and lying in bed, he gathers up his courage and turns toward Ah Ran.

“Ah Ran,” he says.

“What,” she asks.

“I,” he pauses. “I'm sorry for accusing you of stealing my money.”

“So you found it,” she asks.

“Yeah.”

“Good.”

She turns her back to him.

“You're not going to ask who took it,” he asks.

“No. You got your money back. That's all that matters.”

The next day, Hyun Woo couldn't help but feel guilty towards Ah Ran. He yelled at her and accused her when she was innocent. Not knowing what to do he calls his good friend Ho Seok.

“Well you messed up big time,” Ho Seok says.

“Don't make me more miserable than I already am,” Hyun Woo whines. “What should I do to make it up for her?”

“You’re talking about your wife right?”

“I am.”

“Just buy her the latest purse.”

“She isn't that kind of person.”

“What type of person is she?”

Hyun Woo changes his position on the sun chair.

“She comes from a wealthy family,” Hyun Woo starts. “But she doesn't act wealthy. She works with our maids all day until it's time to sleep. She makes breakfast, lunch, and dinner. She doesn't think about herself first, she thinks about her friends and family first.”

“Wow. It's rare to see a woman like her. Do you know what you want to do?”

“No. That's why I called you. Help me,” Hyun Woo begs.

“How about buying her a bouquet of flowers? Woman like flowers right?”

“Yeah. You're right.”

“And chocolate.”

“Of course! That's a must. Thanks.”

Hyun Woo hangs up and immediately goes shopping. When he comes back, he tells one of the workers to go ask Ah Ran to come out. He is in the front yard holding a bouquet of yellow tulips and holding a square box of chocolate.

When Ah Ran comes out, she sees him facing her. The bouquet still in his hands and the chocolate in the other.

“What is this,” she asks him.

Her hands are stained with white flour.

“This,” he says as he takes a step towards her. “Is my sincere apology to you. I’m sorry for accusing you. Please accept these chocolates and flowers.” He extends his arms over to her.

She looks at the flowers and chocolates, and then looks at him. She isn’t impress while he was hoping for her to accept his apology.

“Did you really think flowers and chocolates will make me accept your apology,” she asks him.

“What,” he asks surprised.

“I already accepted your apology, so don’t try too hard.”

Ah Ran turns around to walk away, but Hyun Woo grabs onto her hand.

“What do you mean you’ve forgiven me,” he asks.

“Do I need to explain in depth? Is that even possible,” Ah Ran asks.

“If you’ve forgiven me, why do you look so mad?”

“You want to know why?”

He waits for her to continue.

“Because I feel like I’m jailed,” she says. “Everyday, when I’m here, I feel so trapped. I can’t help but show you how I feel.”

“I’m not asking you to stay. You can go out and have fun.”

“Do you really think I’d do something like that? Something like that would make my parents upset.” She pulls her arm out of his grip. “So please, just leave me alone. Seeing you makes me even more angry.” Ah Ran walks inside leaving Hyun Woo behind.

He does feel bad for her. He just thought she liked to work, but she was actually trying to distract herself. He suddenly feels an arm around him. When he looks back, he sees Ji Hyun smiling at him.

“What are you doing out here,” she asks him.

“I,” he trails off.

“Are these for me?” She takes the flowers and chocolates. “Thank you.”

“Yeah.”

“You said flowers and chocolates will work,” Hyun Woo yells into his phone.

“It should work,” Ho Seok replies.

“Well she humiliated me.”

“How did you approach her?”

“Gently. I asked her to forgive me, and she only glared at me.”

“So she didn't accept them?”

“No! She said she forgave me already and I should stop, but you know what? She is mad. Why? Because she said she's jailed by this house.”

“Tell her to go out then. She's been stuck there for too long. She's been cooped up since marriage.”

“I told her to go out and have fun, but she refuses to because her parents will yell at her for being irresponsible.”

“Then you take her out.”

“Why should I?”

“Because she's your wife.”

“But I don't love her.”

“That doesn't matter. Just take her out for some fresh air. Don't be stubborn.”

“Fine.”

The next day, Hyun Woo walks to the kitchen and looks for Ah Ran. She is peeling carrots with So Eun.

“Ah Ran,” Hyun Woo calls out.

She looks up.

“Come here,” he says.

She sets the carrots and knife down, so she can head to Hyun Woo.

“Let's go,” he says as he grabs her wrist.

“To where,” she asks.

“Out.”

He starts dragging her out of the kitchen.

“Out where,” she asks. “Let me go!” She yanks her hand out of his.

“You don't want to go out,” he asks.

“Not by force and definitely not with you.”

She walks back to the kitchen, and he calls Ho Seok again.

“You told me to take her out,” Hyun Woo shouts into the phone. “But she don't want to.”

“Did you ask her nicely,” Ho Seok asks.

“I took her out of the kitchen and told her we were going to go out, and she said she didn't want to and not with me.”

“Sour luck.”

“Come on.”

“Did you do it in an aggressive way?”

“Well.” He pauses. “I think so.”

“That's why you idiot! Don't use force! Ask her nicely. Don't tell her.”

“Fine. I'll see what I can do.”

“If you can't, don't call to yell at me again. I don't want to hear your voice for at least a month.”

Hyun Woo hangs up the call and walks back to the kitchen. He walks straight over to Ah Ran.

She looks at him, and then continues to rinse the carrots in the sink.

“Do you want to go out,” he asks her as politely as he can.

“I gave you my answer earlier,” Ah Ran replies.

“Please. I know you feel cooped up in this house. Will you let me help you?”

“Where are we going?”

“Anywhere you want to go.”

“I don't want to go anywhere.”

“Nowhere? Try to think.”

Ah Ran stops what she is doing and looks at Hyun Woo.

“New York,” she says. “I want to go to New York.”

“Why New York,” he asks.

“Because you said we could go anywhere.”

“Okay. Maybe we can't go to New York today, but I will take you somewhere else that is here. In town.”

“Just take Ji Hyun with you.”

She goes back to rinse the carrots.

“But I want you to come,” he says.

She doesn't reply.

“Don't be stubborn. Let's go,” he says.

“Come on,” the head worker says. “You're making it difficult to work.”

Ah Ran looks around and everyone is looking back at her.

“Fine,” she says.

“Let's go,” he exclaims. “Do you want to change,” he asks her.

“Yeah.”

She walks up to their room and changes into black jeans and a green shirt. Ah Ran grabs her purse and heads outside with Hyun Woo.

“Where do you want to go,” he asks Ah Ran.

Hyun Woo is driving, and Ah Ran is sitting in the passenger seat.

“I told you, I don't have a place I want to go,” she replies.

“Are you hungry?”

“No.”

“How about shopping?”

“I have plenty of clothes.”

“Just tell me where to go,” he says frustrated.

“I told you,” she shouts back. “But you insisted to come out!”

“Should we go back home?”

“I don't care. Do whatever you want.”

He continues to drive.

Silence eats them.

Ah Ran is looking out the window. Her arms are crossed. She doesn't even want to look at Hyun Woo. Suddenly, something catches her eyes.

“Stop the car,” she tells him.

He does so, and she hops out of the car.

“Where are you going,” he shouts after her.

“Seol,” Ah Ran shouts.

A lady turns around and Ah Ran smiles. She runs over to the lady.

“Ah Ran,” the lady says shocked.

They hug each other.

“How are you,” Ah Ran asks breaking the hug.

“Fine, and yourself,” Seol asks.

“I've been better.”

“What does that mean?”

“It's such a long story. What have you been doing?”

“I've been working a lot. How about you?”

“I got married recently.”

“Did you? Congratulations!”

“Thanks, but it was out of my control.”

“What do you mean?”

“My parents wanted me to marry him. I didn't.”

“Oh. I'm sorry, but he's treating you well right?”

“He's treating me the best that he could.”

“I'm sorry.”

“It's okay, so what are you doing here today?”

“I had some free time today, so I thought I should come out and shop. Want to join me?”

“I'd love to, but I can't.”

“Why not?”

“What are you doing,” Hyun Woo asks.

Ah Ran turns around to see Hyun Woo has followed her.

“Who is this,” Seol asks.

“Seol,” Ah Ran says. “This is Hyun Woo. My husband. Hyun Woo, this is Seol. My friend.”

“Oh. So this is your husband,” Seol says. “He's pretty handsome.”

“Thank you,” Hyun Woo says. “Nice to meet you.”

“Nice to meet you.”

“So how long have you been friends?”

“Since grade school.”

“Oh.”

“We should get going,” Ah Ran says. “I'd love to meet you again.”

“Me too.”

“You should go hang out,” Hyun Woo says. “We're not doing anything.”

“It's fine,” Ah Ran says. “You wanted to go home.”

“No. Let's hang out with Seol.”

“Really,” Seol asks happy.

Hyun Woo nods.

“Let's go then,” Seol says hooking her arm with Ah Ran.

The ladies start walking.

“He's not that bad,” Seol whispers.

“You have no idea,” Ah Ran replies.

“Is it okay for you to be following us,” Seol asks Hyun Woo.

She turns her head to talk to Hyun Woo who is walking behind them.

“I'll be fine,” Hyun Woo replies. “Do as you please.”

“Thank you,” Seol says smiling. “What do you want to do,” Seol asks Ah Ran.

“Let's go shopping.”

“Great! Because I saw this really cute dress, and I really want to go buy it.”

“Let's go!”

Chapter 10: I think how you did this story was fine. Not every person should fit your idea of them. It is creative license. In the end you turned Hyunwoo into the person who will make a great husband and gave your readers a happy ending. Very sweet and hits the fluffy romance. Nice!
