“Eunbi-ya, how did you know you like girls?” Yerin whispers to her lover, both of them in their usual cuddling position. Yewon was still fast asleep and the last thing they wanted to do was be a nuisance, especially when this is that one rare occasion where Yewon had no classes in the morning.

It’s almost 9:30 AM. The sun was beginning to rise and brightening the dark room they were in. It was chilly today, so cuddling was the best option for them both to stay warm.

Sinb pulled Yerin closer towards her and buried her face into Yerin’s neck. She relaxed herself by inhaling Yerin’s natural scent that was accompanied by the smell of her shampoo. She hummed slowly behind Yerin, thinking of her answer. 

“Honestly, I knew since I was like… 6 years old? There was this one girl in my kindergarten class, I still remember her name, Yeji. I think she was my best friend at the time, I remember being fascinated by everything she did. Thinking about it now, I probably had the fattest crush on her. The same thing happened when I came into middle school with a girl named Jisoo…”

“Then when did you realise that you liked them both more than just a fascination?” asks Yerin.

“It happened during my senior year of high school. I was with this girl named Ryujin. We were in dance class together. I watched her dance and that’s when I realised I was attracted to her ually… It’s funny cus I’m a hundred percent sure she liked me too at some point but we were both scared to admit it. She even flirted with me...That’s when it clicked I guess…” 

Yerin remained silent as she was deep in her own thoughts. Then all of a sudden she turns her body to face her Eunbi.

Surprised but pleased, Sinb gives Yerin a peck on the lips and nuzzles their noses together before asking. “What about you babe? When did you realise you like girls?” 

Yerin furrowed her eyes softly and pursed her lips. When did she realise she liked girls? Then she realised something else instead...

Sinb’s her first girlfriend. 

It’s weird because she’s never been attracted to anyone particularly. Neither boys or girls. But when she met Sinb, she couldn’t help but feel something different. 

It all started when they met in class. They got partnered up to do a project together by their lecturer and Yerin was nervous at first because she doesn’t really talk to anyone in her class unless it was necessary or for previous projects. So other than those interactions, Yerin only came to class and left right after. She’s also known for always being absent but nobody really pays it any mind, she was either there or not and that was that. Plus she always aced her classes anyway.

Sinb, on the other hand, always attended class when she could. She was paying for it after all and that was her mindset. Sinb knew of Yerin’s constant absence and always wondered why that was. When the teacher paired them up to the project, she couldn’t help but feel the small bit of curiosity inside of her grow. She wanted to get to know Yerin, she wanted to know what was happening. It sounds really creepy, but just like Yerin, Sinb felt something when they met.

From then on, they became really close friends and it felt almost like a dream. Though it was nothing movie-like, both of them knew this isn’t like anything they’ve ever felt before. This is also a first for Yerin since she’s never been in a relationship, but she knew deep in her heart that this is right, Sinb was right. 

Sinb only waited patiently for Yerin to gather her thoughts. In the meantime, she admired Yerin’s porcelain like features and if she was going to be honest, she’s probably never going to get over how beautiful Yerin is inside out. From her brows, those deep brown eyes she admired with her whole being, her cute boopy nose and down to her gorgeous lips. Her beauty was out of this world, Sinb thought. She knew she was the luckiest girl alive to be this close in proximity with such a wonderful human being whilst sharing this type of intimacy at that. There was nothing more she could ask for in a partner and she was eternally grateful. Even when she messed up, Yerin still wants her to stay. It’s still crazy to Sinb, and she doesn’t know when she can forgive herself for hurting such a delicate heart that belongs to the one she loves the most.

“I’ve only ever liked you, so I’m not sure if I like just girls or the opposite” she whispered softly to answer Sinb’s question, her eyebrows now a little furrowed together as she was in deep thought earlier. 

“You’ve never liked anyone before me?” Sinb questions. Yerin only nodded to answer. “Not even a small crush on a high school friend?”

Yerin mouthed the word ‘Nope’ with a small smile.

Dumbfounded, Sinb then realised that she’s Yerin’s first girlfriend and love. She’s Yerin’s first everything, at that. 

“I didn’t really have that many friends to begin with” Yerin reasoned. 

Sinb carrassed Yerin’s back softly. “Well, if it makes you feel better I didn’t either. Everyone thought I was mean because of my resting face.” 

Yerin giggled at the statement. “I’m sure plenty of people wanted to be friends with you, it’s just that you looked too intimidating.”

“Sure. But I’m glad I at least had Eunha by my side through everything back then. If it weren’t for her, things would’ve probably be different because I’d be all alone all the time. I haven’t heard from her in a while, should probably call her and ask how she is” 

Yerin only nodded in agreement, listening attentatively to Sinb’s every word. She loved listening to Sinb talk, every word she spoke was interesting to her though sometimes she gets lost in Sinb’s pretty eyes.

“Do you want to go back to sleep? We can go get brunch later if we wake up later?” Sinb asked. 

Yerin’s been sleeping over Sinb’s room for a couple of days now. Sleeping together with Sinb is the only way Yerin could fall asleep peacefully these days, and because of that she wants Yerin to get enough rest no matter what the situation might be. 

“I’m still a little sleepy, do you mind if I napped?” Yerin answers. 

“No love, cmon. Cuddle up” Sinb replied, giving her girlfriend a soft kiss on her forehead, Yerin turns to face her back towards Sinb. Finding the right comfortable position to fall back asleep. 

“Are you sleepy?” Yerin asks, not sure if she’s okay with the idea of Sinb being by her side this way just for her to fall asleep and doing nothing.

“I’m alright, I think I can fall asleep too” Sinb answers while pulling Yerin closer towards her, arm wrapped on her waist. Hands holding each other. 

Before Yerin could say another word, Sinb whispers softly. “Sleep tight love bug, I love you” 

“I love you”
