News Of Debut: Chaerin
Lilac (라이락) ♥
Chaerin sat on the floor of the dance studio, watching herself in the large mirror. She smiles slightly and waves her hand around subconsciously, following her reflection with her dark brown eyes. Today was the day that the President of the company said he would come meet her here. In the studio. At four p.m. sharp. He wasn’t here.
Maybe he is caught up in a meeting. Besides, it isn’t like he is going to announce that I will debut soon…right?
Chaerin puffs her cheeks, blinks a few times at herself, and puts her hand down. She looks up at the clock on the wall and sighs. Maybe he wasn’t coming. Maybe-
“Kwon Chaerin!” the familiar voice says, opening the door to the dance studio. It was the President of NH Media. She preferred to call him Ahjussi, but you know, that is very “unprofessional” of her.
“Ah! Neh, President-ssi?” Chaerin says, standing up and bowing respectfully to her elder and her boss.
“How are you?” he asks, trying to be polite.
He always did this. Always managed to change the subject before the conversation even began.
“I am fine, President-ssi. How are you?” Chaerin responds, smiling sweetly.
“I am excellent! I am glad you met me here. I have some news!” he announces, smiling wide.
“Neh?” Chaerin’s eyes light up, her mind racing with thoughts, her heart beating faster than it was.
“Neh! You will be debuting next year! You will meet with your new group manager soon. I have already spoken with your manager and he is fine with JunSeong taking over. Please treat and respect your new manager. There will be meeting tomorrow in our main office. I assume you remember where that is, deh? You will meet your fellow members. Get some rest and be there at 11 a.m. tomorrow. Arassoyo(Understand)? Goodbye, Chaerin-ah!” the President bows and smiles, turning on his heels and walks out the door before Chaerin could utter a sound.
“I-I…YES!” Chaerin shouts, smiling wide and throwing her arms in the air. She finally made it. She is going to debut next year! It has been a long 5 years. Maybe this was the start of a better life; a better future for herself. This is what she has waited for since she began her trainee career. This was what she has been training for.
A sudden thought occurred to her as he lowered her arms and sat back down on the floor, pulling her purple-cased cellphone out from her pocket. I have to call EunMi unnie…but what if she isn’t debuting? What if she isn’t happy for me? Aigo~ Eottoke(What do I do)?
