             JunSeong translates to Vizio and she nods, saying, “Vizio.”

            “I want to be called Bae Kyon,” Ae Sook smiles to the President.

            “I am obviously Chaerin,” Chaerin adds in, blinking innocently.

            “I am going to stick to EunMi,” EunMi tells the President, leaning back in her chair and grinning. “It suits me.”

            “I am going to be Yoo Sawng,” Anastasia says confidently, leaning forward, “As in ‘shooting star’.”

            “Shooting star? Cool!” Chaerin speaks up, looking at Yoo Sawng.

            “Neh.”

            “I want to be S.Me,” Seung Me says finally, after having a mental battle about what it was going to be. “S.Me.”

            “Dats cool!” Vizio says, smiling at the younger girl.

            Chaerin chuckles at Vizio’s English. Bae Kyon just smiles sweetly.

            “Now, President-nim…have you decided our positions?” Bae Kyon asks as nicely as she can.

            “You’re so nice,” Yoo Sawng blurts out, “How do you do it?”

            Bae Kyon looks at her, shocked, and shrugs. Yoo Sawng laughs and leans back in her chair. She doesn’t get how someone can be so nice and quiet. Here she was, being honest and a bit blunt when it comes to things; Chaerin just butts into conversations and takes control; EunMi is quiet and when she talks, she seems wise; Vizio is quiet because she can’t even speak good enough Korean, and S.Me is just…quiet and odd. Yoo Sawng started to wonder what the other girls thought of herself. Maybe they think she was weird and rude or something like that.

            “So, we have Vizio, Yoo Sawng, S.Me, EunMi, Bae Kyon, and Chaerin,” JunSeong says to himself, writing stuff in his notebook.

            “Any suggestions about which position you want in the group?” the President asks the girls, not looking up from his own piece of paper.

            “Main dancer!” Chaerin says, raising her hand in the air and smiling wide. “Please?”

            The President and manager wait a few moments as the other girls sit there quietly. They whisper to each other and the manager writes a few things down. Bae Kyon tries to sneak a peek at the papers, but is too far from the manager.

            “Ok. We have the results of your positions!” JunSeong says, putting his pen down after a few minutes of silence and smiles at the girls. “Vizio is the leader and lead vocalist. Yoo Sawng is the lead rapper and 2^nd lead dancer. S.Me is the main rapper and a vocalist. EunMi is a sub-vocalist, dancer, and a sub-rapper. Bae Kyon is the main vocalist and the visual of the group. Lastly, Chaerin is the main dancer, sub-rapper, and the maknae.”

            Everyone nods and smiles. Vizio looks at the manager, waiting for him to translate. He does and she nods, smiling. Each girl is happy with their position choice.

            “Moving on. The group name?” the President raises an eyebrow, looking up from his paper.

            “Something catchy,” S.Me says.

            “Something not girly,” EunMi speaks up after her.

            “Something unique and with meaning,” Bae Kyon says in a quiet voice.

            “Chaerin-ssi, do you have any ideas?” Yoo Sawng asks the talkative girl. Chaerin sit there, tapping her lower lip with her fingers and thinking.

            “I think we are all unique in our own way. We are different from other girl groups and other girls, right? We are going to make our own mark on the world. Everyone…everyone has a red heart. We all have different colors of hearts. Like…mine is lilac! My favorite color!” Chaerin says, making no point, looking at the other girls.

            “Lilac,” Vizio says in English after hearing ‘la-i-lak’ (라이락) in Korean. Everyone looks at her.

            “It’s not too girly and it is unique,” EunMi says, crossing her arms and smiling slightly.

            “I like it,” Bae Kyon says.

            “I do, too,” S.Me says. “It’s simple. It is unique. It isn’t too girly. It isn’t too weird or dark. It’s awesome!”

            “Lilac it is!” Yoo Sawng smiles, clapping her hands together.

            “Yes!” Chaerin does a fist pump and all the girls laugh together, revealing eye-smiles and perfect smiles.

            “Lilac is good, don’t you think?” JunSeong asks the President. The President nods and writes stuff down, followed by JunSeong writing things in his own notebook. The girls start chatting amongst each other, warming up to each other and their presence.

            “One last thing, girls,” the President says, clicking his pen and sitting it on the table, “you will need to pack your bags because this Friday you will be moving into your new dorm and a camera crew will be following you six around.”

            “Friday?” Yoo Sawng asks.

            “Camera crew?” S.Me asks, eyes widening.

            JunSeong translates to Vizio. She nods. She is used to camera crews – hence her being an actress. S.Me sits there, shocked, and the other girls start discussing everything.

            “Bae Kyon-ssi, you are a really talented singer~!” EunMi says to her dongsaeng.

            “Gomawo, EunMi-ssi. You don’t have to call me ‘Bae Kyon-ssi’ though. Just call me Bae Kyon if you want to,” Bae Kyon smiles to her.

            “Arasso. I’ll call you…Bae Kyon-ah!” EunMi eye-smiles to the younger girl, “You can call me EunMi unnie if you want to.”

            “EunMi unnie~”

            “When’s the last time you went to your hometown?” Yoo Sawng asks Chaerin.

            “5 years ago. I left and came back here for training. While I was visiting, my sister auditioned and I happened to be outside singing and dancing to myself and I drew a crowd. I was scouted that way. I went back home to pack up and I moved to Seoul to become a trainee.  I was 9 at the time.”

            “Nine? Wow. I’ve been a trainee for about 3 years or so. It’s been crazy!”

            “I know! I met EunMi through training and that’s how we became close. We met a lot of idols, actually. I’m friends with a couple of them.”

            “Really? I am close with Seungri of Big Bang.”

            “Seungri? Wah~!”

            Yoo Sawng chuckles and the other girls look at Chaerin, who was sitting there with hanging open. EunMi reaches around Chaerin and uses her palm to close Chaerin’s mouth. Chaerin swats her hand away. All the girls laugh, including Vizio who was busy chatting with JunSeong.

            “She’s friends with Seungri sunbaenim!” Chaerin exclaims, pointing at Yoo Sawng.

            “You are friends with Dongho-ssi!” EunMi says, nudging Chaerin, “So, no be shocked if someone is friends with an idol.”

            “You’re friends with SuJu sunbaenims and SNSD sunbaenims!” Chaerin looks at EunMi, “And many others!”

            “I’m friends with Amber of f(x) and the Boyfriend boys,” S.Me speaks up, coming out of her shock about the camera crew.

            “Vizio said she is friends with boys of Block B,” JunSeong says, interrupting the girls. All of them look at Vizio, eyes wide.

            “She can’t even speak Korean, though!” Yoo Sawng says, motioning towards her.

            The girls hadn’t even noticed, but the President left the room. They continued to speak about their friends in the idol world.

            “You know the new group ChoColat?” Chaerin says after a while. “I’m close friends with Melanie and Tia. Also I am friends with Eunkyo of Co-Ed.”

            “And Sungmin~!” EunMi grins and nudges Chaerin.

            “Shut up!” Chaerin gasps, and playfully shoves EunMi.

            “You like Sungmin of Co-Ed?” S.Me asks, leaning forward to look at Chaerin.

            “No! But EunMi unnie and Eunkyo unnie like to tease us that we like each other…and we don’t!” Chaerin pouts and props her head upon her hand on the desk.

            “Sounds like my siblings when I first met Seungri,” Yoo Sawng says, looking at her hands.

            “You like Seungri?” EunMi asks, grinning.

            “As a friend. I don’t really like anyone. I don’t really trust guys,” Yoo Sawng says as she continues to look at her hands.

            “Oh. S.Me unnie, do you like anyone?” Chaerin asks, looking at her baby-faced unnie.

            S.Me’s eyes widen for the billionth time and a blush starts to form over her cheeks, “A-Aniyo!”

            “Sounds like you do, Unnie~!” Bae Kyon joins in, smiling.

            “Aniyo!” S.Me waves her hands in front of her face.

            “Vizio says you are blushing. You like someone,” JunSeong tells S.Me.

           S.Me looks at Vizio and shakes her head. Vizio chuckles and goes back to chatting with the manager. Chaerin looks at S.Me.

            “Unnie, you can punish everyone except Vizio unnie and Yoo Sawng unnie. Because they are older than you and you can’t. Still, punish everyone…except me!” Chaerin tells S.Me.

            S.Me chuckles, “I know, Chaerin-ah.”

            “EunMi unnie, do you like anyone?” Bae Kyon asks the chuckling EunMi.

            EunMi shakes her head and Chaerin blurts out, “She has a major crush on Doojoon oppa and Youngmin oppa!”

            EunMi hits Chaerin on the arm and scoffs, “Yah!”

            “Youngmin oppa?” S.Me asks, looking at the two best friend who are sticking their tongues out at each other, “I am best friends with him.”

            Truthfully, Yougmin was the only guy S.Me ever had a crush on and ever called ‘oppa’. All the other guys S.Me called ‘hyung’. She didn’t want to admit it, but she is crushing on him. Knowing now that another member might be crushing on him, her heart hurt a little. On top of that, why didn’t Youngmin oppa ever mention EunMi to her? They knew everything about each other.

            “Really? That’s awesome! Chaerin-ah is lying. I like him like a brother, not a boyfriend. Is…is that who you like?” EunMi grins and raises an eyebrow, looking at her unnie.

            “Aniyo! He’s just my best friend!” S.Me says.

            “Lilac!” JunSeong says, “You realize it is past 1 p.m., right?”

            The girls look at each other and each one mutters they have to go.

            “Remember, Friday!” JunSeong says to the girls as they head for the elevator, “I have everyone’s number. Meet here before 7 a.m. on Friday!”

            “Neh~” all the girls chorus.
