“We are here on the set of our music video for our new song “My Heart”. I’m really nervous,” Yoo Sawng says to the camera.

          The girls arrive at the set where they are immediately taken to wardrobe. The girls change into their first outfits. [[Vizio - Yoo Sawng - S.Me - EunMi - Bae Kyon - Chaerin]]

          “Why am I so girly?” EunMi whines, looking at herself in the mirror.

          “At least you are wearing converse,” Yoo Sawng says, looking at her flats.

          “PINK CONVERSE!”  she yells.

          “Calm down! We don’t want to go out there like this and let the camera see. They’ll make us seem like spoiled brats if we whine and change our outfits,” S.Me tells them. “I know things like this.”

          “How?” Bae Kyon asks.

          “Vizio unnie told me,” she says. “She’s an actress, remember?”

          “Is she going to be the lead?” Yoo Sawng asks, pulling her pants up again.

          “We still don’t even know who the boy is going to be,” Chaerin says.

          “I’m wearing pink converse,” EunMi whines, turning away from the mirror. “Out of all of us who can wear pink converse, why me? I’m the tomboy!”

          “Would you rather wear my heels?” Vizio asks, pointing at her heels.

          “We better go out there or we’re going to get in trouble,” Yoo Sawng says, opening the door. “Let’s go~!”

          The girls follow the second eldest and walk out onto the set. The girls awe at the sets. JunSeong walks over to them and the set director does, too, smiling and bowing. The girls bow back and greet the lady.

          “Annyeong haseyo! Unique and talented, we are Lilac~!” the chorus, each doing their signature pose.

          “I have to inform you of the girl lead and your boy lead. We also are going to go over the point of the video and what you will be doing in each scene,” the director says to the girls.

          “Neh,” they chorus.

          The girls discuss the music video with their manager and set director, going over every little thing.

          “And finally, S.Me-ssi will be the leading lady in the video. Your partner will be Teen Top’s Changjo.”

          “Changjo?” Bae Kyon asks, eyes going wide.

          The girls look at Bae Kyon, who just chuckles nervously and looks away. Bae Kyon has actually met Changjo before. She was walking up to a vending machine after practice to get herself a hot chocolate and Changjo happened to be in line in front of her. He got the last hot chocolate. While Bae Kyon was getting her money out, she noticed that that was Changjo from Teen Top and wished him luck on his next performance. He thanked her. Bae Kyon noticed that there was no more hot chocolate in the machine and pouted. Without a word, Changjo set his hot chocolate down in front of her and walked away. She called after him, but he never answered back. He just happened to yell back, “Keep it.”

          “I’m the lead?” S.Me asks, breaking Bae Kyon out of her thoughts. “I don’t know if I’ll be good.”

          “S.Me fighting!” Vizio says aloud, fist pumping and smiling.

          “Ah! Changjo-ssi is here!” JunSeong says, walking towards the door where Changjo had just walked through. “Changjo-ssi! Annyeong haseyo! Welcome!”

          “Kamsahamnnida!” Changjo greets the man, bowing. “Annyeong haseyo!”

          “That’s Changjo?” Chaerin asks, whispering to Bae Kyon.

          Bae Kyon nods, “Neh. Teen Top’s maknae and ‘Dancing Boy’.”

          “He dances?” EunMi asks. “There shall be war.”

          “Don’t bite his head off,” Yoo Sawng tells Chaerin.

          “I’m not. As long as he isn’t super talented at dancing, we won’t clash,” Chaerin responds, grinning.

          “How are you and Sungmin even friends, then? Isn’t he super great at popping? Like…Jeon Jihwan talented?” S.Me asks. If you don’t know Jeon Jihwan (Jay), he is the maknae of DGNA/The BOSS/Dae Guk Nam Ah. He is known as the ‘Popping Prodigy’. He and Sungmin battled out over who was better at the popping style of dance. Sungmin, unfortunately, lost but is still super talented.

          “It’s because she likes him,” EunMi whispers to S.Me where Chaerin can’t hear. “Chaerin-ah still dislikes him because he is so talented.”

          “Oh~” S.Me nods, understanding.

          Chaerin is busy looking at Changjo, who is sitting in the styling chair, getting his hair and makeup fixed. Bae Kyon is staring, too, thinking back to when she first met him.

          The camera crew walks up and starts filming the girls. None of them pay attention to the camera crew. Yoo Sawng is now chatting with EunMi; Bae Kyon and Chaerin are still gazing at the boy ‘secretly’; S.Me is twirling in her dress and practicing her lines; Vizio is doing her ‘swag walk’ back and forth in front of the camera.

          I wonder if he will remember me, Bae Kyon thinks to herself, grinning. She is curious about the boy. He has grown a lot since she last saw him. He’s became more handsome. Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Bae Ae Sook! What are you thinking? You don’t like men! You distrust them! Stop thinking he is handsome! AISH!

          “Girls, please go to set one! We are going to start recording!” JunSeong calls to the girls.

          The girls walk one by one passed the camera and flashing a ‘peace sign’, eyesmile, or a ‘fighting’ sign. Chaerin does an aegyo pose as she walks past though, giggling and following her unnies to set.

          The first set they go to has a white background with ‘Lilac’ written on it. They were told this would be the scene with the flashing backdrop inserted virtually. The floor is glass with lights underneath. The side walls are lined with lights as well, except they are on a black wire-thing, attached to the walls.

          “This scene may be recorded more than once girls, so prepare yourselves. Get into your positions. Remember, after the first two times, we will be flashing the lights several times,” the set director calls to the girls.

          The girls nod and take their positions in one straight line for the start of the song: Chaerin, EunMi, Vizio, Bae Kyon, S.Me, and Yoo Sawng.

          The lights go off (since they have to be one-by-one for the  intro) and the girls get into their signature poses. The music starts and Chaerin’s light comes on – her pose being standing sideways with her right palm against her forehead, her head tilted upwards slightly, her right leg being bent slightly, her foot setting just behind her other foot.

When her light comes on, EunMi’s pose is her squatting on the floor (slightly turned to the left) and her arms being outstretched and crossed in front of her. She just looks at the camera, smirking.

The light comes on and Vizio’s pose is her standing facing the camera, feet at least a foot apart, her thumbs sticking in her pockets of her shorts with the rest of her hands in fists, her head tilted to the right and just staring blankly at the camera. If you look closely, her eyes are crossed – that happens when she stares to long.

Bae Kyon’s light comes on and she has her back facing the camera, her head turned to where she is looking over her shoulder on her left, her right arm being placed on her right hip and she is leaning on her left leg, her right foot barely touching the ground and it is bent slightly like Chaerin’s. She just looks at the camera fiercely.

As S.Me’s light comes on, she has her right arm placed on Bae Kyon’s right shoulder (since Bae Kyon is facing the opposite way) and is letting her left arm hang loosely at her side. She has her legs crossed at she stands there. She is also smirking at the camera.

Yoo Sawng’s light comes on and she is standing there facing her left, looking down, but towards the camera, one arm placed on one of her side of her upper chest, the other placed at the opposite side by her hip.

In those short 10 seconds, S.Me says her line and they quickly get into their positions as Yoo Sawng starts singing. Throughout the performance the girls dance perfectly as practiced. They all lipsync as told to.

They peform on that set around 6 times – 4 times with flashing lights, 2 times without.

          The next set they go to is all black. It has lights hanging on the ceiling, sparkles on the back wall, a few giant cube-like things in the background and water on the floor.

          “Aish! Jinjja? Water?” Chaerin asks, stopping in front of the set.

          “Go change!” the set director yells at the girls, looking up at them from behind a desk with various machines and computers on it. “We will do a runthrough of the song, but will most likely be using this scene for only the main dance number. You will dance as a group first, then Chaerin, Yoo Sawng, and EunMi will be dancing the dance number in their small group. Then Chaerin will be doing the runthrough solo.”

          When the girls return to the set, changed into their outfits.

          “At least I won’t be wearing pretty shoes during this,” Chaerin says aloud, without realizing it.

          “Chaerin-ah, you will have two other outfit changes for this dance number. One includes ‘pretty shoes’,” the set director calls to her from her seat.

          “Jinjja?”

          “Neh~ Now, positions!”

          At 10 a.m. the girls take their positions for the dance part of the song on the blackened stage. The music starts and they dance the 25 second part perfectly. The next 15 seconds with be Chaerin alone, but before that, she, EunMi, and Yoo Sawng have to go change outfits and do the 25 seconds over in that small group.

          “So girly!” EunMi whines, looking at her sparkly shirt. “But the shoes and jacket I like.”

          “EunMi-yah,” Yoo Sawng says, “are you forgetting that you are wearing only the jacket zipped up with a bra underneath?”

          “No, but I don’t mind,” she tells Yoo Sawng, stepping onto the stage again.

          “You don’t mind y?” Chaerin asks. “That’s new.”

          “I bet you are enjoying the ‘y’ look, aren’t you?” EunMi asks her best friend, chuckling. Chaerin nods and steps up onto the stage followed by EunMi.

          “Positions! We’ll do this like last time! 25 seconds, 4 takes!” the set director yells loudly, making a the other girls jump in their spots.

          “We have to change for the next set,” Bae Kyon tells the camera. “We are doing individual shots this time singing along to the song.”

          “After that I will be performing my acting scene with Changjo-ssi on the rooftop where they have another set fixed up. I am really nervous. Fighting!” S.Me says to the camera, doing a fist pump. She does aegyo afterwards and the girls walk to get changed.

          The cameraman walks over to Changjo who is now changed and watching the 3 girls dance their short parts.

          “Changjo-ssi, what do you think of Lilac so far?”

          “From what I’ve seen so far, they are talented. The song is really catchy and isn’t that girly, more electro-pop and has a few ballad-like parts. I have yet to meet the girls because they are busy recording, but afterwards I will hopefully meet them,” Changjo tells the camera, smiling slightly.

          “Are you excited for the acting scene?”

          “Yes and no. I have never really acted before for a music video. L.Joe hyung did for our music video and so has Chunji hyung. Both of them gave me advice. I hope I do well and don’t ruin Lilac’s video!” Changjo says, laughing afterwards. “Lilac fighting!”

          “Chaerin-ah, go change into your final outfit and Yoo Sawng-ah and EunMi-yah go change into your individual outfits!” the set director yells. JunSeong takes about 5 steps away from her. She was really giving him a headache.

          Chaerin walks back out, smiling wide. She runs to the same set for the third time, preparing for her dance. She performs it 6 times, the set director having the lights flash a couple times, the lights on a couple times, and then just a backlight on so where Chaerin’s body isn’t visible, but the outline is. She finishes her performance with a final splash in the water and posing.

          “Go change into your individual outfit now, Miss Kwon!” the set director yells.

          JunSeong whispers to one of the cameramen, “You’d think her voice would wear out, but no. It’s just keeps getting louder and louder.”

          The rest of Lilac are already recording the individual parts. Yoo Sawng is up at the moment, Vizio and S.Me already recorded their parts and S.Me changed for her acting part. The wind is blowing on Yoo Sawng. Her hair is up at the moment and she is actually singing her part. She is being charismatic like the others have had to be for the individual part.

          The cameraman tells her to rest for a minute while they adjust the lighting. She waves at the cameraman who is recording for the ‘E News!’ segment on the girls.

          “Hey,” Chaerin says, walking up to the rest of the girls, “what’s up?”

          One of the other ‘E News!’ cameramen records the girls who are watching their fellow member. He doesn’t turn the mic on.

          “Watching Yoo Sawng. She is so professional,” Bae Kyon states to the younger girl, aweing at her unnie who is now singing again for her part.

          “Did you like my single outfit?” Chaerin asks no one in particular, just smiling and thinking back to her previous outfit.

          “Purple knee high heels. So Chaerinnie,” Vizio says, grinning and looking at the girl. “You’re a great dancer.”

          “S.Me-yah!” the set director screams. “Acting part! Follow me and Changjo-yah!”

          “Neh, Unnie!” S.Me yells back, waving at her members and running to the set director and Changjo, who are walking towards the elevator.

          “Lucky duck,” EunMi says. “Just kidding! I wouldn’t act for a billion won.”

          “I would,” Bae Kyon says, raising her hand slightly.

          “I’m going to go with them,” Vizio says, running after S.Me. “Bye!”

          “Bae Kyon-ah, you’re up!” Yoo Sawng calls to the girl, stepping out of the box.

          “Does my hair look okay?” Bae Kyon asks the two remaining girls, turning to them. “It looks weird up like this, right?”

          “No, now go!” EunMi pushes her away.

          S.Me and Changjo are on the rooftop, on set. They are sitting at a white table overlooking the Seoul city. There are twinkly lights everywhere. It is around 5 p.m. now. The sun is setting and it is perfect for the shot. S.Me has her outfit on and  hair extensions in.

          “Take 3!” the acting director yells. “Action!”

          S.Me recites her lines, “You like me, right?”

          Changjo nods, “You’re…unique.”

          S.Me grins, “Is that what you like? Unique?”

          Changjo takes her hands in his like it says to and smiles wide, “I like you for you.”

          “Now lean in for the kiss!” the director says loudly, not yelling like the set director did.

          The two lean in and the director yells, “Cut!”

          The two let go of each other’s hands and both blush. Vizio runs over to S.Me and claps.

          “Was I good? I’m not an actress like you, Unnie,” S.Me tells the excited girl.

          “You were great, I thought,” Changjo says before Vizio can speak. “I hope I didn’t ruin your video.”

          “You didn’t! Both of you were great!” Vizio jumps up and down, clapping.

          “Are you acting yourself?” S.Me asks Vizio, raising an eyebrow.

          Vizio stops jumping and gasps, acting like that hurt her feelings, “Why would you assume I am acting and not happy for you?”

          S.Me points at her unnie, “Because you are doing that.”

          Changjo chuckles.

          “That was an excellent performance! You can go now. Both of you,” the director says, taking his headphones off.

          “Kamsahamnida!” Changjo and S.Me says, standing up and bowing. The staff bows back and thanks them.

          “I’m not acting!” Vizio yells, throwing her arms up in the air. “I don’t act! I only act natural!”

          Changjo whispers to S.Me, “Is she always like this?”

          S.Me nods, “She an actress.”

          Vizio starts walking off towards the elevator with her ‘swag walk’ and gives a peace sign to every other staff person. She jumps in front of one of the ladies, scaring her, and just ‘pops her collar’ at the lady and smirks.

          “That’s right! Don’t mess with Vizio Chen!” Vizio says, walking backwards and waving her hand in front of her face.

          “Aigo…” S.Me shakes her head and laughs, followed by Changjo laughing. The two follow Vizio into the elevator and downstairs to the main sets.

          “HEP HAP!” Vizio yells as the elevator doors close.

          In fact, if you couldn't guess, one of the cameramen from the segment caught all that on camera. No one noticed but the staff, who were in turn laughing or chuckling at the scene. Vizio, indeed, proved then that she is an actress, going from one persona to another.

          Heading back down to the sets, the girls chat with Changjo about their final set. The other Lilac girls have almost finished their individual parts, Chaerin and EunMi taking longer than usual because EunMi's hair keeping falling down and Chaerin keeps sneezing. Their next set will be their final set and then they are finished with their music video - or so they think.

SweetSabry: I hate how poor Bae Kyon is just being used (it seems like). D:  Yeah, S.Me refuses calling guys 'oppa'. She finds it very odd and only calls Youngmin 'oppa' which is odd, too. Chaerin is my character, so she acts a lot how I do, so I made a lame joke with that 'L.Joe' and  'S.Me' thing...I always make lame jokes, but I'm glad you got it~! ^O^
