It is a windy night but she is standing in the railing while watching the colorful lights on the bridge opposite their house. The view reminds her of what had happened six years ago on the nice fancy apartment of Lee Hyukjae.
Another river. Another city. Another acquaintance.
Suddenly a pair of warm arms envelop her from behind and equally familiar lips kiss the side of her head.
“One penny for every thought.”
She smiles and take one of the hands and kisses the back of it softly. “You never give me one penny, Oppa.”
The man chuckles and puts his head on her left shoulder. “Because you’re worth more than even a million.”
She giggles and turns her body around so her eyes can catch his. “You should stop buying me stuffs, Oppa. Really.”
He smiles, then take the loose hair of hers and puts it back behind her left ear. “I can’t help it. I have saving a lot in years we’re separated because I wanted you to have it.”
She scoots closer and peeks on his lips softly. “I only want you, Oppa. I will still be with you even if we have to live on the slums and eat those greasy foods.”
Her eyes glints so he knows she is teasing him but he can not stand to retort. “Yah, maybe we should try that once, since you’ve wanted it so much.”
“Oppa!!!”
He laughs when she playfully punches him.
Then they hear the wailed baby from the room upstairs. She looks at
