Bleeding Hearts”I thought we were meeting up last night?” Baekhyun asked.
Mina stared up at him from her seat on the couch.
“I spent part of the night chatting with your dad” She answered instead.
It was his turn to fall quiet as questions and thoughts crossed his mind. He chose to take the cautious path, approaching her carefully and setting down the pastries that he had brought as a bribe. She didn’t meet his eyes, reaching for the pastries and quietly eating one as she waited for his response.
“What did he say?”
“What do you think he said?”
Baekhyun smiled, “No idea”
“Then it seems I just can’t remember what he said” She said mirroring his smile.
“Mina, if he said something to make you angry with me I deserve to know” Baekhyun insisted.
“I think if you were doing things that would make me angry, you deserve nothing” She answered instead and stealing a quick glance at her watch, bounced up from the couch.
“I have to go, my cab is here”
“Where’s your car?” Baekhyun asked, his voice stern.
“I’m going to go pick it up” She replied, swinging the door open and waving him out.
“Where is it?” He asked again.
She closed the door behind her and sighed, “It’s at home” She said quietly.
Baekhyun paused, “At his house, you mean”
Mina watched him carefully, “Does it matter?” She asked, moving past him.
“It matters to me”
She paused and turned swiftly.
“The boy who cried wolf, that’s what you are, you know?”
“What?”
“I know, I knew what I was getting myself into, but still I thought you were better than that” She said calmly.
“Whatever he said, I can promise you it’s not like that”
She turned to him, “Are you telling him everything that we talk about?” She asked.
“No, I promise” Baekhyun insisted, for some reason needing her to believe him because if he was going to go down for something he wanted to make sure it was something he had actually done.
She sighed, “Let’s just talk about this later. I really do have to go now” She said and left without another word.

Mina knew he should have been gone for work, but when she saw him standing at the front door waiting for her, her stomach still flipped at the sight of him. He must have slept in, she decided when she spotted his lazy grin, white t-shirt, and sweatpants. He waved her over and like the fool that she had always been for him, she went over.
“I didn’t think you’d get here so early” Sehun commented, stepping back and allowing her in.
Although she had promised herself to just come get her car and go, she stepped in after him.
“Well I was awake so I figured I’d seize the day. Aren’t you supposed to be at work?” She asked.
He grinned, “Not today. I took a personal day”
She laughed softly, “ I didn’t know personal days existed in your vocabulary”
“Only for good reasons” He said and motioning over to the coffee maker asked, “Have you had any yet?”
She thought of the coffee she had enjoyed just an hour earlier, “Not yet”
She took the mug offered to her, trying to ignore the way his fingertips lightly brushed hers.
“There’s a meeting tomorrow, Baekhyun’s father is calling it. It’s calling into question my ability to run things because of my possible divorce”
The cup was halfway to Mina’s mouth when she froze,”What divorce?”
He watched her carefully, “This is really not your doing?”
She shook her head, setting the cup down, “No… I… No, we agreed not yet right?” She asked somewhat nervously.
He looked relieved and his relief calmed her.
“Mina, I want you to come back ho
