Taemin’s POV

“I-I’m taking you out…” Oh god, I was stuttering. I couldn’t even look at her because I was so nervous. I’ve never really taken a girl out on an actual date before.

“Like on a date?” Minnie asked.

“Uh… s-sure?”

“Oh…” She said plainly. “So where exactly are we going?” Minnie asked. I looked at her and smiled.

“It’s a surprise.”

Crap. I’m going to screw this up big time.

Your POV

I couldn’t help but smile at him. He’s older than me, but he gave off a childish feel I couldn’t help but be entertained by. He was trying really hard, and I appreciated it.

I was also happy that he was taking me on a date before we started getting into this whole marriage thing. I just wondered where he was actually taking me.

We kept walking until we came across what looked like a small lake with a few houses lit up on the other side. When I focused a bit more, I saw that there were platforms on the other side floating on the water and that people were sitting and eating on small tables sitting on the platforms.

“We’re eating there?” I asked in disbelief, the bear head still in my arms. He looked at me and nodded. We walked over to the side and went across the giant bridge that connected the two sides.

“Yeah. Come on, I made reservations.”

Oh. So it’s not houses; it’s a restaurant.

When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by a blonde guy in his early twenties, wearing a grey short-sleeved dress shirt and a light blue suit vest. For some reason, he kind of resembled Jonghyun.

“Annyeong, Taemin-ssi.” He said and bowed. “…and his wife. May I take your giant bear head and costume? Wow… never thought I’d say that before…”

I blushed, handing it to him, “A-annyeong-haseyo.”

“Aigoo! She’s so proper!” he cheered. “Come with me, you two. I saved your favorite table just for you, Taemin-ah.” The man said and winked at him.

I swear this guy has a thing for Taemin…

“…And here we are!” The man sang as he took us to one of the platforms on the water. However, it wasn’t like the ones I saw when we were walking on the bridge. This platform was in the back end of the restaurant, and in order to get to the table you had to walk on this small path. The platform itself was circular and was shaped like a gazebo with lights strung along the edges of the roof and the railing.

“Woah…”

“Nice, huh?” The man said as he sat us at the table under all the lights and gave us our floor mats and menus.

“Call me when you’re ready, newlyweds!” And with that he cat-walked down the path back to the restaurant. I looked over at Taemin.

“Who the heck is that?” I asked, laughing and pointing my thumb in the direction he walked.

“Daehyun. He’s Jonghyun-Hyung’s cousin.”

“Ah…” I was only half paying attention because I was gazing at all the lights and the moon reflecting across the small lake. Taemin shuffled a bit in his seat.

“You don’t think this is too... much, do you?” He asked. I looked at him and shook my head.

“Of course not.” He sighed in relief.

“Oh thank god…” he said, throwing his head back. I giggled a bit.

“Why are you asking?”

“What? Oh, it’s just that my Hyungs think this is too… ‘much’ for a first date.”

“Chincha?” I shook my head at him and smiled. “I really don’t think so. If anything else, I feel kind of special.” He chuckled.

“I’m not sure if I’m supposed to say ‘thank you’ or ‘you’re welcome,’” Taemin said, chuckling a bit. I smiled.

“You don’t have to say anything. This is great, don’t worry.” I looked at the table and realized we forgot to look at the menus, so I started thumbing through mine.

Taemin’s POV

Jjong, how the hell do you do it?

She was probably lying. This place is way too much…

“So… what do you want to eat?” I asked, picking up my menu.

We ended up deciding on Combo Soup with a few other things so we could eat it together.

“Alright, lovelies!” Daehyun sang as he strutted toward us with his Hello Kitty notepad in his hand.

“What would you guys like to order?”

“Combo soup with dukbokki and mandu on the side,” I said bluntly.

“Oooh, Tae-ssi, being the man, are we? Haha. What would you like to drink, Mrs. Lee?” I looked over at her and laughed a little, and she looked like she was blushing a bit.

“S-strawberry milk, please.”

“Omo! Taemin-ah, she’s your perfect match!” He closed his notebook and smiled at the both of us. “I’ll be back with your food, newlyweds! But first…” Daehyun took out a pink envelope from his back pocket labeled TaeMinnie Couple.

I waited until after Dae left before I opened it.

“What does it say?” Minnie leaned over the table as I read the letter out loud.

“A challenge for you both
So listen well.
This marriage could be beautiful
Or it could be hell.
Before one can love
One must know
The black doves sleeping
Under the white bow.

~WGM.”

“Ugh, are all our challenges gonna be in riddle form?” Minnie complained. I shrugged.

“I guess so. Did you have to go through these to find me?” I asked curiously. She lightly nodded.

“Let’s just find out what this means, Oppa.” Oppa, huh? I can get used to that, I guess.

“Okay. It says black doves…” I started.

“Black doves is a contradictory statement. White doves are a sign of peace-.”

“-so black doves must mean something highly negative.”

“Exactly.”

“So… we have to find out something bad about each other?” I asked. Minnie hesitantly nodded.

“I guess, or maybe something no one else knows.”

“So you go first!” I quickly suggested.

“Bwo?!” Minnie put a hand to her chest dramatically. “Ex-ca-use me?”

“I’m paying for the food. You can at least go first.” I knew it was a mean thing to say, but I wanted to mess with her. She cutely pouted and looked away.

“Tch, now I see why I wanted Jonghyun.”

“Hey!”

“Kidding, Oppa. Now, let’s see… How about you ask anything, and I’ll answer?”

“Arraso. Hm…” I thought about it, but found the perfect question. “Do you have any bad habits I need to know about?”

“Yes. I happen to keep a machete in my purse and murder people when they refuse to give me soup.”

“You serious?”

“Dead. Hey, I made a joke!” I laughed. She kept a straight face for as long as she could, but eventually busted out laughing.

“Okay, but seriously, do you have any bad habits?” She looked at me with some thought.

“Hm… I don’t know. Should I call my Unnies and ask them?” Minnie asked. I shrugged and nodded, and she took her phone out and put it on speaker.

Your POV

Beeeep. Beeeep. Be-

“Yoboseyo~?”To-Ri sang.

“To-Ri Unnie, annyeong!”

“Omo! Min-min! Yah, To-Shi, it’s Minnie!”Taemin and I chuckled.

“Am I on speaker?” I asked.

“Deh.”

“Okay, you two. I have to ask you something. Are you at the dorm?”

“Deh, dongsaeng. Now what’s up?! Who’s your hubby?!”I giggled a bit and blushed and figured I’d play with them.

“Oh, no one special.”

“Yah! You can’t say that!”To-Shi screamed. “Who is he?!”

“Can I sing to them?” Taemin whispered. I nodded and handed the phone to him, but he covered up the mic part so they wouldn’t hear us.

“Are they twins?” I nodded. “Then what’s their favorite song?” I chuckled a bit.

“Replay… by you guys of course.”
“Alright…” He cleared his throat.

“Hello? Min-.”

“Noona nomu yeppo seo~ Namjadeuri Kaman an dwo~”

“OH MY GOD!” They both screamed.

“So, you guys know who it is?” I asked.

“Yes! You’re marrying KIM JONGHYUN!”

Okay, guys. Epic fail.

“AHAHAHAA!” Taemin put the phone on the table and rolled back laughing, putting his hands on his face. I couldn’t help but laugh too.

“Omo, Minnie? Did we get it right?” To-Shi asked. I managed to pick up the phone.

“Aha-aha… y-you guys were spot on! HA!” Taemin got up and signaled me to give him the phone and he cleared his throat once again.

“Ahem, yes. I am SHINee’s bling bling Kim Jonghyun!”

“AAAAAAAHHHHH!” I swear their fangirl screams could tear down the building.

“You guys are gonna be screaming when this airs, too.”

“Yah, dongsaeng, you needed to ask us something?” To-Ri managed to say.

“Oh, n-neh. Listen… do I have any bad habits?” I heard both of them snicker on the other line.

“Oh, do you!”I pouted and glared at my phone.

“Like what?” Taemin asked in Jonghyun voice.

“She obsesses over this one guy-.” “SSSSHHHH don’t tell him!” My face fell and I blushed.

“Oh really now? Who is this one guy?” I sighed.

"Just tell him, you two.”

“Arraso. She’s madly in love with Lee Jungshin!” To-Shi yelled.

Twins better be prepared to feel my wrath later.

“Chincha?” Taemin asked.

“Neh! Oh, she’s also afraid of bugs.”

“Like spiders and flies and stuff. Oh and she’s obsessed with strawberry milk.”

“We call her the female Lee Taemin!” I laughed. How ironic was this?

“Is that so?”

“Neh! Oh and Oppa, when you live with her, you’re gonna have to clean up after her. She’s a very messy person.” Yes. I am a very messy person.

“I also mess people up,” I warned, still pouting.

“Yah, be nice,” Taemin scolded, pinching my cheek. I couldn’t help but smile for some reason.

“Oh, and another one-.”

“I think that’s enough, guys.” I looked over to the side and found Daehyun and a couple other guys walking over with a giant bowl. “Our food’s here anyways. I’ll see you back at the dorm later.” I hung up.

“Talking on the phone, are we?” Daehyun asked suspiciously as he set the soup on the table. I giggled as the other two guys set the dukbokki and mandu right after.

“Kamsahamnida!” I said cheerfully, taking out my chopsticks and spoon.

“Aigoo, you’re so adorable!” Daehyun cooed as he pinched my cheek and strutted back into the building.

“So…” I randomly said as I took some noodles out of the giant bowl. “Maybe you should call your Hyungs right about now, Oppa.”

Let me just say I had a lot of fun writing this chappie :D

Oh btw, the bear scene i found out is very similar to GaIn and JoKwon's meeting. the creepy thing is that i've never watched that before after i posted that chapter O_O quite weird...
