Chapter 3: Late At Night    They had been in Korea for about two years now. They had discovered and learnt lots of things, for example how to ask for directions properly or how to ask their interlocutor to please talk slower since they were foreigners.     Sana had managed to buy a japanese to korean dictionary, well she didn't exactly buy it, neither did she steal it but she left the details out. She focused on trying to learn as much words as posible, staying up at night repeating korean words over and over again. She had become their official translator.     Mina had been attending her ballet lessons without skipping one class, not even when she caught a bad cold and Sana had told her to rest, the teacher didn't exactly allow her to participate, but she did offer her some medicine and tea hoping it'll help one of her star students get better.     Momo had been dancing her legs off, literally, she had almost teared a muscle while performing on a particular cold night, she had streched and warmed up but it seemed like it wasn't enough. Sana covered for her after lots of yelling, she didn't want to make her friend go out into Seoul's cold nights alone with all those erts around, but Momo gave up on the condition that she'll go with her.    After a lot of cold and hot nights dancing, catching colds, fevers, dehydratating and almost fainting, without mentioning the numerous nights in which Momo had grabbed the speaker and ran away from drunk males, and females, they finally managed to afford a place to call 'home'.    Sure, it wasn't anything fancy, just a little studio room with a bathroom that included a toilet, sink and shower, and a little kitchen which they didn't exactly use. They only used the fridge to storage water bottles, but nothing esle. They didn't own beds and couldn't afford them either, so Momo and Sana had danced for a week non-stop to be able to buy a sleeping bag. It was mostly for Mina, but whenever one of them was sick, Mina would switch and she'll sleep on the floor covered with the blankets they had onced been gifted.    Clothes were an important thing too, they didn't exactly own a lot, but they owned a couple of shirts, four different jeans and one legging which was technicaly for Mina's ballet lessons, but sometime the girls would use it too, after all they shared all their clothes. Shoes were another thing, each of them owned a pair and there were two pair of flip flops which they'll usually use after taking a shower.    Cleaning was a big issue, they were young and seriously a thirdteen years old doesn't feel like cleaning after her mess, let alone two twelve years old. But thankfully Mina did love orther, so she'll start cleaning which made Sana and Momo feel guilty and start cleaning too.    They had celebrated each birthday the best way they could. It wasn't filled with fancy gifts and a cake, but they'd managed to make everyone special.   Momo's birthday had come first, at that time the girls didn't have a lot of money saved up, so they couldn't exactly afford something special, how ever Sana managed to obtain a little cake, she couldn't get candles thought. Mina had asked Sana if she thought it was a good idea to show Momo her ballet skills, which Sana totally agreed with, she knew how much Momo loved watching their little swan move gracefully all around. It wasn't anything spectacular, but Momo had felt really happy while eating her piece of cake and watching Mina dance to Sana's weird attempt of classical music.   "You liked it Momo-san?" Mina asked, with hope in her eyes, once she had done her final pose.   "Loved it!" Momo clapped her hands and nodded.    She then turned to Sana.   "Arama! This is so good!"     Sana giggled and smiled, happy Momo had liked it and offered more.    When Sana's birthday had arrived Momo and Mina had made their biggest effort to decorate their place, japanese words all over the walls and little drawings they had made. Sana loved it, even if it wasn't much. Imagine her surprise when Mina gave her a little box wrapped in pink gift wrap.   "What's this?" Sana had asked, her voice avobe a whisper from the surprise.   "Open it Sana-chan!" Mina said excited.    Momo was leaning against the wall, arms crossed, watching with a little smirk her friend's face.    When Sana finally opened the gift she found a box, which she opened carefully and revealed a flower shaped make up kit. It wasn't much, but Momo had noticed how she stared at it everytime they passed by the cosmetic's store. Sana's face had lighten up so much Momo couldn't help herself and walked over to the girl to give her a hug.    Mina's birthday was close and Momo knew what she wanted to gift her. She had told Sana her idea, the younger girl thought it was a bit ambicious but never being one to give up easily, she had offered to help. Momo had no idea how they were going to gather so much money in two weeks.   "Couldn't you have thought of this earlier?" Sana joked but crearly she was a bit annoyed.   "Her teacher told me she needed them yesterday when I picked her up from her lesson" Momo explained.    Sana nodded.    They were at the park, after desiding they needed some fresh air. They had been dancing not too long ago and were now really tired. Mina was swining while Sana was sitting on a bench near her, Momo's head on her lap, the girl was lying down.     She was tired, she had been trying to think of way of making money quickly, but nothing really came to her mind. Sana was caresing her hair and that felt really, really, relaxing. She allowed herself to close her eyes trying to forget about the fact that she had to dance that night. She loved dancing but doing it out of necessity was a little energy-draining.   "Why don't you sleep?" Sana asked softly.    Momo smiled at her friend's sweet voice and nodded. It didn't take five minutes for her to fall deeply asleep.    Sana stared down at her friends and smile with empathy while she caresed her hair. Momo was really exigent with herself, always trying to reach perfection, which Sana admired but sometimes Momo went a little too much over the line.    There was this time in which Momo had come back at two in the morning, when she walked in she found Sana sitting against the wall waiting for her. She took a shower and when she came out Sana offered her a little cup with food.   "Thank you Sana-chan" Momo had smiled at the girl.   "You're welcome" Sana had smiled back.    When she saw Momo almost devouring even the cup, Sana had gotten worried.   "You should eat more you know"   "I can't, I have to stay fit" Momo had explained.   "We can work out, but please don't starve yourself" Sana begged.    Since then she made sure Momo had all her meals and ate everything on the cup, plate, whatever. She wanted her friend to stay healthy. She knew that Momo took care of Mina and her, but who took care of Momo? That's why Sana always tried to help the girl on her crazy ideas to earn money. She put up with all the complicated moves and Momo's mood when she would mess up because she wanted to relief some weight off her friend's shoulder.    Now, with Momo totally asleep on her lap, she glanced at Mina. Their little Mina, an adorable girl that Sana could notice this world and their reality was corrupting her little by little.    For example, there was this time in which Momo had been out dancing at night again, leaving Sana and Mina at home, the later having ballet lessons tomorrow and the first one having to care of her. Momo and Sana didn't really curse that much, maybe Momo would use curse words every so often, but they were careful enough to stay out of Mina's earshot. That's why she was shocked when she heard Mina curse for the first time.   "!" The girl had yelled when she almost tripped over the blankets on the floor.    Sana's head had never moved so quickly, her eyes wide open in shock.   "What did you say?" she asked in desbelief.    Mina looked nervous and just shook her head.   "Nothing"    Sana shook her head too and kept reading on her dictionary.    Mina was swinging back and forth, the wind hitting her face making her hair go crazy. Her birthday was coming up so she was excited. She had told her ballet teacher who had asked what she was going to do to celebrate it. That got Mina thinking.    She was sure Momo and Sana, specially Momo, were going to try to do something big, and extreme. At the begining Mina had been excited with the thought but then she remembered how Momo had been dancing almost all day to afford Sana's gift, she got home so tired and late, but always put a smile on for Mina. It was heartbreaking.   "Momo-san, wakie, wakie~" Sana said next to Momo's ear while caresing her face.    Momo groaned and shifted to her right. Sana thought it was adorable.   "Come on, it's going to get dark soon"    That almost made Momo jump from the bench. She stood quickly, fixed her hair and looked over at Mina.   "Mina-chan, time to go!" she shouted so the girl would hear.    Mina climbed of the swing and ran to the older girls.    They made their way home, Sana holding Mina's hand, habit she had acquired, while she linked her arm with Momo's.    It was now night time, Momo had left Sana and Mina at home because the younger girl had lessons the next day. It was their usual arrangment. Sana had complained many times, but Momo always ignored her rolling her eyes. She felt a little weird explaning that she wasn't doing their normal routine, but a more ier version of it infront of pubs.    After an hour of dancing and moving her hips all she could without making it funny, Momo took a little break. She had noticed a boy staring at her, he couldn't be too old but wasn't that younger either. She wondered what he was doing this late at night. She looked at him closely. It didn't seem like his clothes were old or dirty like sometimes hers had been, rather than that they looked almost brand new.    She took a sip from her water bottle, when she put the bottle down she felt someone by her side.    Her first instict was to get the away from there because reasosns, but taking a better look at him he seemed harmless. She would give him the benefit of the doubt.   "Hey there" t
