The school was buzzing as a new week began, Jinhee closed her locker as Hansol walked over with Seungkwan and Seokmin along with him.

“Morning.” He greeted as she closed her locker, she smiled at the boys.

When she noticed Jinyoung walking with what looked like her parents, her older brother looking around awkwardly.

“Hey, you okay?” Hansol asked putting his hands in his uniform pockets, glancing over his shoulder he bowed as Jinyoung walked towards them. As Hansol bent down, Jinhee saw her life flash before her as Jinyoung’s eyes widened as they met hers.

“Park Jinhee?” Her mother said, anger filling her eyes. Hansol looked between the parents and the Year 1 whom was frozen in place. “What do you think you are doing here? Wearing the uniform?! It’s bad enough your brother has this ridiculous dream, but you?! We sent you to Seoul to go to the Science school!” Her mother was beyond angry now, Jinhee had her head bowed as Hansol backed up, more students surrounded the family.

Yumi curious about the swarm of students was soon joined by Areum and Nell whom were curious. Getting to the front they watched as Jinhee’s mom slapped the year 1.

“We did not raise you to be so ungrateful. You have no need to be here.” Her father scolded, as Jinhee remained with her head down, Yumi in complete shock as Eunjeong and Lauren stood next to Hansol. The five were in the most shock as Jinhee didn’t even flinch as her parents yelled. “We are leaving now.” Her father growled, Jinhee picked up her backpack from the ground ready to follow her parents.

“Father- ““Don’t. Don’t expect to see her here again.” Jinyoung watched as her father looked at him in disgrace.

“Wait. Does she not have a right to do what she wants?” Areum spoke out, stepping to Jinhee.

“Not when we pay for her schooling. Aren’t your parents disappointed in you as well?” Her mother spat, the rebel froze in place with nothing to say. Jinhee followed her parents as they walked away, the girls watched the back of the year 1 slowly disappear.

Areum removed her shoes as she rubbed her hand on her forehead, noticing her father’s shoes at the entrance. Sighing she walked to the main room half-expecting him to not say a word.

“Some of the nurses love you guys. They have been voting every day for you.” He said, with a proud smile. Areum stopped in her place and slowly looked at her dad whom had set the table for the both. After seeing Jinhee’s parent’s reaction she felt bad for ignoring her dad. Sitting down in front of him, he was unable to hide his shock.

“Um. Are you disappointed in me? For, you know.” Areum said as she held her chopsticks unable to meet her father’s eyes.

“Of course not. You are doing what makes you happy. And that’s all I want for you.” He said, as he watched her, not really knowing when she grew up to become the Year 3 she was. He always felt he was lacking since taking her to Korea after the divorce.

“Thanks. I will try my hardest.” She mumbled as she ate, he smiled at the sight of his daughter eating with him.

Lauren walked out of her last class as the bell rang, Eunjeong and Danbi behind her as she stretched.

"Spill." Danbi demanded of her best friend as the three headed to the stairs to go to their lockers.

"Well..

Eunjeong bowed to her coworkers as she headed out the door, waving to them as she opened the door and headed into the spring weather. Looking around she spotted Kihyun on the phone as he leaned on the building accross the street.

"Yeah. I left the drive on the desk.Oi, I know you dont like them but just do this for me, Jooheon. Okay, thanks. I'll treat you to a meal later." He said, his eyes closed in annoyance over the younger's whines, hanging up he released a sigh as Eunjeong crossed the street.

"Did you wait long?" Eunjeong asked he walked to the crosswalk to meet he, he shook his head in response with a smile.

"Lets go." He said, turning so Eunjeong was fartherest from the street as they walked.

We went to that really good barbeque place in North Incheon. He was really sweet." Eunjeong said with a smile as the two girls leaned against the wall as Eunjeong leaned against her locker.

The girls stared at the door to the practice room waiting for the main vocalist to walk in at any point. Lauren kept her eyes on the door as they ran through a few songs, unable to focus at the task at hand. Ms. Lee walked in, her normal static face filled with sorrow as the girls were worried if the Year 1 was ever coming. The vocal teacher sighed closing the door, her heels clicking on the floor as she walked to the chair she always sat in to monitor their practice. The group ran through 5 songs before the door opened again.

“You’re late.” Ms. Lee said, without turning her head. Jinhee bowed in apology before putting her stuff down, her face bruised from the day before.

“Mrs. Park, I understand your anger but, Jinhee is simply extraordinary. You hear it.” Ms. Lee stated as she leaned against the Principal’s desk, as a video of Jinhee singing in an evaluation played on her laptop. “She is the only Year 1 in the Advanced Vocals classes, she didn’t perform in the group audition, which is unheard of. But, all the vocal teachers approved of her skill and placed her with me. In all my years of teaching, she has the most potential in a Year 1 I have ever seen.” Ms. Lee stated, as her parents seemed to calm down. “Let her stay. If she drops from her academic spot, you may take her out.”

“Fine. She drops one mark. She is out of here.” Mrs. Park stated before leaving the office her husband in suit.
