━ { waiting room

The next day went by like normal, Jinhee walked out of her advanced vocal class heading to her locker. As she unlocked it she felt someone looking at her, glancing around the hallway she noticed Hansol walking with one of the members of Seventeen, Mingyu. She only assumed they had left their rap class since they only carried a notebook. Opening her locker, she grabbed her binder for her English class, as she closed her locker she saw Mingyu wave bye to Hansol whom turned and walked in Jinhee’s direction. Antisocial mode had been activated, as her eyes widened as he met her eyes. She looked around then walked down the hall to her class only to realize she was going the wrong way. Turning around she ran into a chest, she bowed as she held her face. Only to see the nametag and step back quickly.

“You okay?” He asked, trying to see her face. As she was avoiding him looking at her face as it was extremely red. “Jinhee-shi?” He asked and tapped her shoulder, handing her the binder she didn’t even realize she dropped.

“T-Th-Thank you.” She muttered her eyes staying on the ground, Hansol smiled and coughed.

“No problem. Oh, I watched your battle. It was great.” He said, Jinhee looked up at him in shock that he even knew she was in the battles. “The guys and I voted for you. We hope you guys go far.” He said, her eyes widened again. He had heard her sing. The warning bell for class rang meaning two minutes to get to class. “Ah. Your voice is great, we should do a duet sometime.” He said, then waved as he walked off to his next class.

“I would like that.” She said mostly to herself as she smiled and glanced over her shoulder to see him walked with Seungkwan to their class.

“No way. I swear I got a higher score than you.” Areum said to Hoseok as they talked during their break between classes.

Over the past couple months BTS and Meraki had become good friends across the board, Areum and Hoseok helped each other with their dances, Yumi, Yoongi and Namjoon with rap class, Nell and Jin became quick friends in their classes, Eunjeong, Jimin and Taehyung became fast friends through their passion, Lauren and Jungkook grew close through dance and of course Yugyeom made them a holy trinity of dancers.

As lunch rolled around, the two groups sat together chatting away as Namjoon and Yumi’s phones chimed the Final Showcase logo appearing along with the same number they had last time the two groups finished eating and went to the display screen.

Astro was the first to be crossed off, BTS sighed, as they battled them in the first round. Then Laboum followed. The screen switching to numbers filing them under Winners and Losers. The sound of Twice cheering, made the six girls angry, they soon saw 14 go under winners and smiled as BTS were passed in the same column.

“Now to see who are battling.” Yumi said. Namjoon said a quick fighting as the screen changed.

14 vs. 10

The girls looked between each other trying remember who 10 was, when it clicked for Yumi as she noticed Nayeon smirking in her direction.

“Oh no.” Was all Yumi said as the girls followed her line of sight and all groaned.

“Great. So back to practicing two times a day it is.” Nell said, the girls all sighed.

(author's note) the long awaited battle between twice and meraki is the next chapter! As well as anothe Jinhee and Hansol moment with hints of more moments for the others.
