For You

          In and out people go. The constant ‘I'm sorry for your loss’ is heard. It is getting quite late, but the family of four remains seated on the ground near their father’s casket.

          “I’m sorry for your loss,” Jisoo tells the four: Taehyung, Jungkyu, Yoona, and Eunjin. She then places a white flower near the casket and bows to the deceased. She then exits with a glance at Taehyung. His eyes are red with dark eye circles engulfing his face. There is no apparent expression on his face other than sadness.  

          It is 1 a.m., and they drowsily make it to the airport.

          “I hope this isn't the end for us as a family,” Yoona says.

          “Of course not,” Taehyung replies--with a faint smile. He bends down to pat Eunjin’s head and tells her, “Oppa will visit you again.”

          “Promise?” Eunjin asks.

          “Promise.”
