[CONTENTID3] For Jungkook, if he were to look in the midst of the large crowd, his eyes would always, and without fail, blur out the rest of the crowd to focus on a certain girl. Those days were scarce occurrences that mostly happened at the end of the year where corrupted networks hand awards to those in their favor. She was simply supposed to be a minor distraction to help with his restlessness but over the years on the few days he saw her, her perky presence somehow gained his full attention. Not that he minds or anything.

“You're staring at her again.”

Another event where the top celebrities and idol groups attend means another rare day Jungkook gets to spend his evening frequently blessing his eyes with short glances at Kim Yerim. For his other members, it's annoying because every glance potentially gives the shippers material to post on social media, where everyone can see. They even have a ship name and compilations of their so-called "moments," but then again the others have fairly well-known pairings with the girls from the same group as Yerim's. Jimin swears that he's just "friends" with Seulgi and the rest have no idea how their pairings just bloomed out of the blue.

“Gosh,” Jungkook mumbles under his breath, after realizing he's been staring at her enthusiastically sing and dance along to Twice's Likey for way too long, “Please tell me I wasn't staring at her the whole time.”

Seokjin gives him a passive-aggressive smile, and Jungkook knows he's going to hear a whole rant from him once they leave the venue. It doesn't really surprise him in the least because every year he receives a 10 minute scolding on why he should prioritize his reputation more but Jungkook knows that deep down, Seokjin doesn't mind if he falls in love. It's just that constantly staring and being discreet is two completely different things.

“You weren't just staring at her, you were smiling while staring at her like a complete lover-boy,” Taehyung exaggerates, a dismayed expression evident on his face, “Kim Yerim, my love of my life, please notice me~” he adds on, and the others try hard to stifle their chortles.

Jungkook nudges him hardly and he attempts to suppress the smile growing on his face because what Taehyung said is partially true. He does want her to notice him, even for a split second. There has been countless of times when he had thought that she was looking at him, but when she met her eyes with his, she would put on a puzzled face and look away, noticing something in the process as she lifted up her eyebrows with slightly red cheeks. Those times make him think that maybe, just maybe, she also likes him but Jungkook is wretched with a scintillating and witty brain that makes him see plenty possibilities.

Maybe it's because of her makeup.

Maybe it's because of the heat.

Maybe it's because she's intimidated of her seniors.
