Time stopped.

 

Silence......

 

A long silence followed Jiyong's proposal.

 

No one said a word then color crept into Taeyeon's face turning her whole face crimson

 

Dugeun.dugeun.dugeun.

 

"Is he? Did he just...... po....pro.....propose? Calm down Taeyeon calm down!!! He's just thinking about Jiyeon......he's just thinking of a way to keep her. Pabo, pabo, pabo calm down!! He's not proposing because he loves you he loves Jiyeon. Arrrrgh why is my heart beating so much! I need to think straight. Breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out.... You heard him, he.....he.....he wants to marry you because he loves Jiyeon and doesn't want her to be adopted by somebody else, marriage is a requirement for adoption. Get a grip Kim Taeyeon HE DOESN'T LIKE YOU. He's proposing because you are the only option, you are the only chance he has of keeping Jiyeon........ as he is your only chance as well....."

 

Taeyeon's inner turmoil was put to a stop by that last thought. While she was thinking deeply Jiyong was still in front of her anxiously waiting for her reply and her two sisters were both holding their breath from shock at what they are witnessing, who wouldn't be, seeing the great G-Dragon bending down on one knee in front of a girl be barely knows but willing to take a chance with her for happiness.

 

"......Yes...." Taeyeon took a deep breath while softly giving out her answer

 

"Now I know this may be a big shock for you since we don't know anything from each other much less bonded for a long time. I'm sorry that I can't give you a proposal that you deserve like flowers and a ring and a band or some violinist or even a pianist playing as we dine, with fireworks lighting up the night sky. I'm not even your boyfriend but here I am propo...... Wait WHAT???!!" Jiyong exclaimed in shock as he realized that she accepted his proposal

 

She smiled at him "I said YES Jiyong. I'm accepting your proposal. Let's get married"

 

"But.....but....but you hardly know me and.....and.....and.....why are you marrying someone you don't love? Why me?"

 

"Yah Kwon Jiyong, YOU asked ME and I gave my Yes to you. Why does it feel like you're the one backing out" she playfully to stop his nervous babble as she pulled him back to his seat

 

"We may not love each other Oppa, we may not have a long, great past to look back to when we're married nor even some cute, happy stories to tell our grandkids but we can still make memories together with Jiyeon and our families. We don't know what the future may bring us, all I know is what is Now and what we can achieve by choosing this path, a chance at family and a chance to give a bright future for our departed friends' daughter."

 

"And just so you know Kwon Jiyong-ssi, I take weddings very seriously, once you're tied to me don't even think about getting out. No way would I let the "great" G-DRAGON out of my hands." Taeyeon smirked at Jiyong who was still stunned at her answer

 

Jiyong laughed with her and wittily replied "and I would have you know Kim Taeyeon-ssi that once you become Mrs. Kwon there's no way i'd let you back out as well. Who, in their right mind, would let THE Kim Taeyeon, leader of So Nyeo Shi Dae Korea's ultimate girl group, leave his side"

 

The newly-engaged couple smiled at each other as they both thought of a future together

 

"And I would also have to let you both know that we are still both here so please keep your flirtings to a minimum, you lovebirds have two single women and a child in your presence you know, tsk tsk." Jessica said as she smiled smugly at the two who obviously forgot that they weren't alone in their little world

 

"Mr. and Mrs. Kwon Jiyong huh, well that would be a scandal that could shake our industry don't you think so Maknae-ah?" She cheekily added to the younger girl beside her who was still shocked at what happened

 

"Huh....oh ah... hehe yes unnie I think so too. If this gets out this could be big..... Hm..... Hey unnie how much do you think will they pay if we sell this info?" Seohyun asked conspiringly to Jessica

 

"Oh I don't know maybe millions? Billions? What do you both think?" She asked Taeyeon and Jiyong who were staring at them both with disbelief

 

"B-bwo!!! Yah! Are you two crazy!!!!" They shouted in unison at the two women who were laughing their hearts out

 

"Hahahah you two are not even married yet how can you be so in sync? Hahahahahahah" Jessica continued to tease the now blushing Taeyeon and Jiyong

 

"You really complement each other unnie you're like..... you're like...... what was that phrase again?..... Oh yeah.... you're like a match made in heaven. Soul mates. don't you think so?" If it was possible to turn to a darker shade of red they would have done so after Seohyun's remarks

 

Jiyong cleared his throat loudly and stood up to alleviate his awkwardness "so......er....how doyouwannadothismarriagething?" he asked Taeyeon

 

"Eh? Oppa slow down! I couldn't get what you said" she asked him

 

".....I'm asking you how you wanna do this marriage, should I talk to your parents first, should we get married here in Korea or in another country? I know mine would definitely want to know since they've been bugging me to get married for a long time and I'm sure that they would love you" He asked her

 

"Oh, to be honest oppa I didn't really think of that..... but..... I don't think I can tell my parents just yet, it'll be too hard to explain and I don't want to lie to them by concocting a story about the two of us.... But if you want to, we can tell your parents so at least there would be someone to help us if we need them..."

 

"Are you sure Taeyeon-ah? We don't have to lie to your parents you know, we can tell them the truth as we would to my parents, I think you can breathe easier if your family knows right?"

 

"But what if.... what if they won't approve? My parents...... my parents value relationships and marriage as sacred, if they think that we're just playing around or we're disregarding its importance then they won't approve of it"

 

"I'll talk to them don't worry, we can bring my parents for both sides to meet as well. We only have a few more days to do this Tae don't worry. And if that doesn't work out we can still get a civil wedding, we only need two witnesses for that."

 

"Why don't you get married first then? So that meeting your parents would just be for formalities, they can't reject something that has already been done, all they can do is to accept it. Me and Hyunnie can be your witnesses and we could go to the city hall in disguise today if you want to get married immediately. After all that's your main goal isn't it? To get a marriage certificate and request for Jiyeon's custody." Jessica interjected

 

"Although that I don't exactly approve of that idea, I'm willing to support you unnie if it means your happiness" Seohyun followed up

 

After thinking about Jessica's suggestion he faced Taeyeon "What do you think then Taeyeon-ah? With this idea we can go to our parents later when we've secured Jiyeon with us, you don't have to lie about the length of our relationship and the reason of our marriage to them"

 

"....yes..... I think this idea would work for me better than the first, and atleast now we have a concrete plan. Wow Sica from time to time you really have some great ideas" she breathed in relief after they found themselves a good plan but couldn't help commenting upon her sister's idea

 

"Yah what did you say you midget!! Come here you!!" Jessica shouted back

 

"Hahahahahaha just kidding, just kidding. But really Jessica thank you" she said wholeheartedly

 

The others couldn't help but smile hearing her ahjumma laugh after so long. Even Jiyeon smiled at her Tae umma's laugh even if she doesn't know or understand what's happening, her laugh was contagious.

 

"Let's go then shall we?" Jiyong asked suddenly when they finished their drinks

 

"Huh where to?" Taeyeon asked dumbfounded with his question then she asked her friends and her fiancé "Why are you all staring at me?"

"Hey I hate to ask this from the two of you but is your leader really this slow?"Jiyong addressed the two girls with disbelief

 

"Yah! pabo-yah where were you this whole time? Weren't you here with us while we were talking?" Jessica asked the clueless girl

 

"Unnie sometimes I wonder what really goes in that head of yours" Seohyun said with a sigh

 

"Taeyeon-ah didn't we just agree to get married today? It hasn't even been an hour yet and you already forgot. Aish" Jiyong said to her while shaking his head

 

"Eh?! Oh yeah hehe sorry, just got my head in the clouds for a bit" she sheepishly replied to all of them "let's go then"

 

 

 

 

 

"Please sign here and here" the lady told Jiyong and Taeyeon. They were at the city hall filing their marriage certificate.

 

Couples don't really have to have a wedding ceremony, it was just customary, in a civil wedding a judge could be the one to officiate their marriage as long as they bring two witnesses to sign their certificate with them then the country would honor and recognize their marriage. Though in Korea even a civil wedding is not necessary since the couple can just go straight to the city hall to file for their marriage.

 

 

 

"There it's done. Congratulations on your marriage Mr. and Mrs. Kwon" the woman bowed to them before she left.

 

 

 

"Wow...... We really did it didn't we? We really got married...."

 

"Ye-yeah I still can't believe myself right now.... I really got married with you..."

 

"Get a grip both of you! Now is not the time to be in a daze, I already had Hyunnie look up what you need for the process of adopting Jiyeon" Jessica said breaking their thoughts "what do they need to do Hyunnie?"

 

"Well unnie now that you've got a marriage certificate.... you're gonna need a..... house" she replied while reading from her phone

 

"A house??! Chincha??!!" Jiyong excitedly asked

 

While Taeyeon anxiously exclaimed "We-we have to live together???!!!"

 

"Of course stupid. You two are married now, if you want Jiyeon you'll need a house where the three of you can live together" Jessica answered

 

"Well..... I kinda already have a private villa that can be used....no one knows about it even my family, only Jin Woo hyung knew about it’s.....it's even fully furnished.....will you be fine with it Taeyeon-ah? If you want we can re-decorate"

 

"........hm......Since you already have it then I guess it would be more practical for us to live there"

 

"Then it's settled. Tae, oppa, you can go to your house if you want or you can do whatever you like. Hyunnie and I will meet you next week for Jiyeon's custody hearing alright, she's tired now so I think it's best to get her home"

 

"Bye unnnie and oppa, bye Jiyeon-ah" Seohyun said

 

"Goodbye, thank you for everything you two" Taeyeon hugged them both before they left.

 

 

"So...... oppa..... let's go home?" She shyly asked as she took Jiyeon from him

 

Jiyong's heart warmed at her question "yes, let's go home"

 

 

"Maybe later I can cook us up some dinner at the house....please tell me that you have stocks there or at least a supermarket close by" Taeyeon asked while Jiyong was driving

 

"We can pick up something from the market before getting there if you like. I didn't know we would be living there this fast so I wasn't able to stock up" he answered her

 

"It's fine by me oppa, what do you want to eat?"

 

"Anything cooked by my perfect wife would surely be good"

 

 

Duguen. Dugeun.

 

 

"Eii so corny" she said while her heart beat erratically

 

"Hahaha really anything is fine by me" he replied amicably

 

 

"Taeyeon-ah thank you for giving me a chance for a family....I....I won't let you down"

 

"You as well oppa, thank you for fulfilling my dream of a family....and don't worry I know you won't let me down....now ppali let's look for that market. I'm getting hungry"

A/N:

 

Ok short update for now. They're married!!!! It's official!! Now we get to see how they adjust as a family and how they cope up with their everyday problems. Does anywant want some drama? I think they are getting to mushy hehe maybe someday in the future we could rock them up a bit. What do you think??
