“Eomma~~ eomma~~wake up eomma~~~” Jiyeon tried hard to shake her eomma awake but Taeyeon slept on and snuggled closer to her

 

“Eomma!! Ppali wake up I’m hungry~~” she whined still trying to wake up her sleeping mother trying to tickle her awake

 

“hahaha I’m just teasing you baby, I’m already awake, eomma will go and make some breakfast now. Will you wake appa up so that he can eat with us?” Taeyeon answered as she kissed her daughter good morning and carried her to Jiyong’s room

 

“Neh eomma I’ll wake appa! Eomma Jiyeon wants pancakes!!!” she ordered as crawled on top of her father to wake him up 

 

“Appa!! Appa!!! Appa~~~ wake up!!!” Jiyeon shouted loudly near her appa’s ear to wake him up 

 

“Appa!! Wake up eomma will make pancakes! Appa!!!” she tried again now shaking him with all her might 

 

“Umph! Appa!!” she cried starting to get annoyed at her appa who still won’t get up

 

 “if appa won’t get up I’ll tell eomma that you let me eat many many many ice cream again yeshterday!!”

 

“I’m awake! I’m awake!” Jiyong answered scared that his daughter would really tell Taeyeon that he couldn’t say no to her again. “Don’t tell her Jiyeonnie, eomma will scold appa again” he pleaded it was already the third time that week that he was scolded by Taeyeon for spoiling Jiyeon so much and he didn’t want to make today the fourth one. 

 

Jiyong just shook his head and sighed thinking of how much Jiyeon was starting to be like him because he was usually the one who used the same tricks to his group members in Big Bang and now his own daughter is blackmailing him. Where could she have learned that, ugh he thought as he got out of bed

 

“let’s go appa! Eomma is cooking already” Jiyeon said as she happily pulled her appa out of the room, she knew that her eomma is her appa’s greatest weakness so she knows how to get him moving, just like what her Aunt Jess said during one of their outings “if your appa is stubborn just tell him that you’ll tell your eomma, that should work on him”

 

“Eomma, I got appa to wake up!! On his free day!!!” she proudly shouted because Jiyong tended to sleep in during his free days when he has no schedules

 

“Good job Jiyeonnie, you’ll have to tell eomma how you do that okay~ eomma can use that next time your appa tries to sleep in!” Taeyeon said as she beamed at her daughter and sending a smirk at Jiyong’s direction as she turned back to her cooking

 

“Yeon-ah, Jiyeon is bullying me~~! Jiyong tried to act cute in front of his wife and daughter

 

“Hahahaha appa acting cute doesn’t suit you!!!” Jiyeon laughed at her appa

 

“See!!!” he pouted pretending to sulk

 

“hahaha that serves you right oppa, do you think that I don’t know about you giving in to her again yesterday? Aish seriously oppa, if you keep letting Jiyeon get her way then you won’t be able to control her when she grows up.” 

 

“Sorry” Jiyong apologized bowing to his wife while their daughter who didn’t really understand what her mother was saying just grinned victoriously at her appa.

 

“By the way oppa, I’ll leave you with Jiyeon later and I don’t know what time I’ll be back.” Taeyeon said as she placed the freshly cooked pancakes on the table “coffee?”

 

“Yeah please, thanks. Why do you have a schedule? I thought today was a free day? Jiyeon wanted to go to the beach.” 

 

Upon hearing about Jiyeon’s wish Taeyeon knelt beside their daughter to match her eye level “ Jiyeonnie is it alright if we postpone our trip to the beach? I know we planned this days ago but something came up for eomma. Is it okay if you spend the day with appa?” she  asked seeing her daughter's sad face

 

“uhhmmm.... Okay...eomma’s work ish important too” Jiyeon replied hugging her eomma’s neck

 

“Thank you baby, I promise I’ll make it up to you next time.” Taeyeon said, good thing that although she was still young Jiyeon understood how demanding their work was. 

 

“Ah I just remembered oppa, the girls are planning to make up with Jessica so Seohyun and I we’re planning a surprise for them later. If I have to stay overnight would you be okay with Jiyeon?” she turned to himm worriedly remembering the mess Jiyong made trying to make food for Jiyeon

 

“Don’t worry Tae, we can always order food from outside so I won’t have to cook. And It’s not like I can’t tuck my own daughter to bed. So don’t worry, go do your work and do your best to patch things up between your sisters, Jiyeon and I will have a father-daughter bonding, which I assure you, won’t involve eat-all-you-can ice cream.” Jiyong playfully promised raising his right hand 

 

“Yesh eomma! Appa and Jiyeon will have lots of fun!” Jiyeon happily replied while munching on her pancakes and thinking of all the things she knows that her appa would get for her as soon as she asks.

 

Taeyeon looked at them doubtfully knowing that Jiyong would end up giving in to whatever their daughter asks but since they didn’t have any other choice she just had to trust that he would at least remember her words.

 

“Arraseo. I’ll trust you oppa, and Jiyeon, behave okay and don’t make appa spend too much alright. I’ll call to check on you guys later” Taeyeon finally conceded.

Taeyeon POV

 

Taeyeon left the house after an hour and headed to their company building to meet up with the rest of the girls from So Nyeo Shi Dae and their manager.

 

“There you are Taeyeon-ah, we’ve been trying to call you earlier but the call won’t connect” their manager said as soon as she entered their practice room

 

“Huh why? I’m not late am I?” she asked looking at her watch and noting how she was even 10 minutes early

 

“No we were calling to tell you that you need not come since your scheduled shoot for today was canceled due to some weather conditions in Jeju. Since that schedule was supposed to be an overnight shoot, you girls don’t have anymore schedules for today so you can take the day off for now. I’ll call you tonight to give an update if you will be able to fly there tomorrow.” their manager informed them after checking his day planner. 

 

“Wow thanks oppa. And here we thought that our rest day would end up being full.” Tiffany thanked their manger as the the others started chatting between themselves about what they can do for the day.

 

“Alright girls I’ll leave you now. Take care and be sure to stay out of trouble. Rest well girls.”

 

“Neh oppa!!!” they all chimed happily

 

“Seohyun-ah have you texted Jessica yet?” Taeyeon whispered to Seohyun

 

“Yes unnie, I told her to meet us at Nove Coppe later. But I think we could tell her to come a little earlier. She still deosn’t know about the other unnies coming.” Seohyun informed as they walked behind the others

 

“Okay tell her about the change of schedule, I’ll ask the other girls. We’ll leave the meeting as a surprise for all of them.” she answered walking closer to the rest of the girls to ask them

 

“Hey girls, since we’re on a day off would you like to have some snacks with me later? I know of a cute cafe with good food and good coffee. It’s especially good since they have a back door entrance for idols and celebrities who go there”  Taeyeon said invitingly “I think the staff said that an idol or a star owns it or something”

 

“Hmm.. Coffee? Sure sounds good!”  Sunny agreed 

 

“Okay Taeng as long as it’s your treat!!!” Yuri and Yoona shouted happily skipping off in front like little kids

 

“Sure but let’s have some lunch first. All that waiting got me hungry” Soo declared leading the way to the parking lot

 

“Yah shikshin! Your always hungry!!” Hyoyeon chided as she led half of the girls to one car while the others got on Taeyeon’s car. (Hyoyeon’s car - Hyoyeon, Seohyun, Yoona, Sooyoung. Taeyeon’s car - Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany, Yuri)

 

“We’ll be heading out. Hyo! Maknae knows where to go she’ll lead you to the cafe later. Tiffany is whining about wanting to go back to the dorms so we’ll just cook up something there. We’ll meet you later!” Taeyeon said from the open window of the car waving at the others on the other car who were now arguing about where to eat.

Jiyong and Jiyeon POV

 

After Taeyeon left, Jiyong got some papers and color pens to plan their schedule for the day. 

 

“So Jiyeonnie where do you want to go today? You and appa will have a date!” it was funny to see how Jiyong looked more excited than his daughter to go out and play.

 

“Appa let's go to the zoo!!” Jiyeon excitedly said as she showed her appa a picture book from her room. It was filled with pictures of different animals that can be seen in the wild.

 

“The zoo? Sure. Let me write that down. Next where do you want to go?” He asked writhing it down using the bright colored pens

 

“Mall appa! Let’sh go to the mall!!!!!” she answered jumping up and down on the couch

 

“Haha calm down my princess! Now let’s get changed so that we can have more time to play!” he said jumping up from his seat and carrying Jiyeon up to the rooms to prepare their things for their “date”. 

 

“You look funny appa!” Jiyeon laughed seeing her appa’s disguise which included bowl-cut-blond wig, bright green pants with suspenders, a neon pink shirt and super big glasses, in short something you won’t think that a self-proclaimed fashion icon like G-Dragon would wear. Perfect for a day out with his daughter.

 

First stop: Seoul Grand Park

 

“Make sure you don’t let go of my hand arraseo. The park is a large place Jiyeonnie, if you get lost make sure to ask a guard or a park staff for help okay. Don’t go with strangers. Here” Jiyong said as he pinned a badge on Jiyeon’s jacket which reads: Kwon Jiyeon, daughter of Kwon Jiyong with Jiyong’s contact number printed below the name.

 

“What’s thish appa?” Jiyeon asked while looking at the badge decorated with bright colors

 

“Appa made this earlier especially for our trip so that even if you get lost, people can contact me and I can get their help looking for you”  he replied as he checked their bags once more before he carried Jiyeon down from the car

 

“Let’s go appa! Let’s go!!!! I wanna see bears and monkeys and zebras and lions and-and bears!!!!!” she excitedly pulled her appa to the park entrance eager to see the animals

 

“Slow down baby, we’ll get to see the bears later. Appa has to get our tickets first so let’s get in line

 

“Later?....Oh Okay.” she answered lining up next to her appa

 

“Good girl. I’ll be sure to tell eomma how behaved you were” Jiyong praised seeing his daughter being obedient

 

 

 

“Appa look!! Jiyeon called, grabbing her father’s shirt as she pointed to a balloon that floated up into the air

 

“Hm? You want appa to buy you a balloon?” he asked as they finally entered the park after a long line for their tickets.

 

“Yesh!! But appa can you get me two?” she asked leading her appa to the man who sold the balloons. Although confused why she was asking for two, hestill bought her the two balloons she was asking for. 

 

Jiyong was surprised when Jiyeon suddenly ran off with the balloons as soon as he gave it to her. He finally caught his daughter as she stopped by the zebra enclosure, he was about to scold her for running off until he saw that she had given the other balloon to a crying boy.

 

“Jiyeonnie did’t I tell you not to let go of my hand? Why did you run off without me?” he asked seriously

 

“But-but appa his balloon flew off and he was crying! Eomma told me to be nice to other people, see now he’s not crying” and it was true, the boy who had been crying before was now happily playing with the balloon that she gave

 

Noticing that the boy was alone Jiyong knelt down to face him “Where are your parents little guy? Are you alone?” and to his surprise and horror the boy suddenly started crying once again

 

“My-my balloon got untied and I-I ran after it and now I-I’m lost. Eo-eomma... eomma~~ eomma~~ Ahjussi do-do you know where my eomma is?” he asked tearfully looking up at Jiyong who was just as confused with what to do

 

“Ca-calm down now. Here don’t cry” he said as he gave his handkerchief “What’s your name? And how old are you?”

 

“Ji-Jiho. Kwon Jiho I’m...I’m...um..I’m turning 3” he answered snuffling as he showed him three fingers

 

“Appa let’s help him!” Jiyeon said as she patted Jiho, who shied away from her but moved closer to Jiyong 

 

“We will baby” he answered before turning to Jiho “Jiho my name is Kwon Jiyong, we have the same surnames, and this here is my daughter Jiyeon, she is the same age as you but don’t worry she’s nice. If you like we can take you to the Visitor Center, the staff there can help you find your parents”

 

“Re-really I can find my eomma? But eomma-eomma told me not to go with strangers....” Jiho asked them

 

“Yes they will! And we’re not strangersh, we’re also Kwons! Now let’s go!!” Jiyeon answered for her father as she grabbed Jiho’s hand to lead him as if she knew where she was going but Jiho pulled back his arm and hugged Jiyong’s leg instead

 

“Um... Ah-ah-jussi... can...can you carry me...I’m tired...” he shyly asked as he looked down at the ground

 

“Is it okay if appa carries him Jiyeon-ah? Can you walk by yourself?” he asked her since he knew how possessive their daughter is sometimes

 

“Yes appa! You can carry Jiho, Jiyeon is a big girl now. Jiy-I can walk by myself!” she said confidently

 

“Okay but hold my hand okay. I don’t want you to get lost as well.” Jiyong said holding out his left hand as he was carrying Jiho on his right

 

 

 

 

 

“Excuse me Ma’am we found a lost child here. Who can I ask for help?” Jiyong asked a staff as they reached the Visitor Center

 

“A lost child? Which one?” she asked seeing that he had two kids with him

 

“Jiho is!” Jiyeon replied loudly while pointing at the boy who fell asleep in her appa’s arm “Jiho is lost. He said he lost his eomma”

 

“Were you able to ask for his full name sir or his guardian’s name?” she asked as she helped him lay the boy down on a nearby couch

 

“We only know his name but I wasn’t able to get his mother’s because he was crying earlier. He said his name is Kwon Jiho” he explained 

 

“Okay. You can leave him here with us if you want, we’ll announce throughout the park for his parents so that they’ll know where to find him. Thank you for your help.” she said but as she turned to leave, Jiyeon pulled her back and said protectively “No! We stay with Jiho until his eomma comes! He said his eomma told him not to go with strangers and I’m sure he’ll cry again when he sees that we left him. You’re strangers.”

 

“Jiyeon please be nice. They are just trying to help Jiho” Jiyong told her as he bowed in apology to the lady

 

“Baby how about we leave the nice lady my number so that they can call us once Jiho is fetched by his mother. I know how excited you were to see the animals. We can tour around while we wait for their call.” Jiyong suggested but Jiyeon just stomped in reply and stared at him very much like how Taeyeon looks when she’s annoyed.

 

“Um..ah Miss can we wait here with him? It looks like my daughter won’t budge even if I force her.” he asked

 

“Are you sure? This is a big park so his parents might take long before they reach us. If you like you can use some of our books and toys here to occupy your time while you wait” she asked

 

“Yeah it’s fine. thanks.” he said sitting down on the couch next to Jiho while Jiyeon climbed up to sit on his lap looking at Jiho like a protective big sister

 

 

 

 

“Appa...” she said calling his attention after a few minutes of silence

 

“Hm?” he asked drinking the juice that the park staff got for them earlier.

 

“Appa....... can we keep him?” she asked innocently pointing at Jiho, making Jiyong choke on his drink.

 

“Jiyeonnie! Jiho is not a pet, we can’t keep him” he said shocked by his daughter’s request

 

“Don’t be silly appa, of course not as a pet. Jiyeon wants a brother. So that we can play at home. My friends at the school have brothersh and shisters only Jiyeon doesn’t have one.... So appa can’t we keep him?” she explained shaking her appa to emphasize her point and acting cute because she knew that her appa wouldn’t be able to resist her

 

Unsure about how to answer her request of a sibling Jiyong tried to distract her “We have to ask eomma about that later baby, but for now we’ll wait for Jiho’s eomma okay. Sorry Tae, I don’t have know how to answer Jiyeon. You’ll have to tell her later he thought sighing internally.

 

 

 

 

"Jiho.....Jiho..... Wake up your eomma’s here. Jiho....” Jiyong shook the boy awake 

 

“My eom-eomma? Eomma!!!!” He called sobbing loudly as he saw his eomma.

 

“Thank you for finding my son... I-I was just paying for the balloon that we bought and when-when I turned around he was gone.” Jiho’s mother explained as she bowed repeatedly thanking him as she hugged her son tightly

 

“Thank you Ahjussi and Jiyeonnie I hope we can meet again next time to play.” Jiho thanked them as well.

 

“Ah wait Jiho’s eomma can we take a picture with Jiho? It seems that my daughter found a liking to him” Jiyong politely asked seeing his daughter’s watery eyes while looking at Jiho

 

“It’s okay if you want, it’s all we can do to thank you” Jiho’s mother replied as she set Jiho down to take a picture with Jiyong and Jiyeon

 

“Appa take off your wig” Jiyeon whispered to her appa before he took the picture of the three of them. Jiyong quickly fixed his disguise after the picture checking if someone recognized him. Thankfully no one did.

 

“Annyeong Jiho. Let’s meet again someday!!” Jiyeon shouted waving at Jiho and and mother as they left.

 

“Appa let’s go see the bears!!!” she happily said pulling her appa out of the center to continue their trip

 

“Slow down Jiyeonnie!” Jiyong replied as he let his daughter, who looked older for an almost but not quite 3 year old girl, lead him out

Taeyeon POV

 

“Seohyun-ah we’re already at the cafe. You can bring the others here if they want. And text You-Know-Who that we will meet her here” Taeyeon told Seohyun through the phone as they arrived outside the cafe.

 

The four of them made sure to hide their faces before they went out of the car because even though there were no people in sight they can never be too careful with their disguises.

 

“Wow this is a really nice place Taeng. How did you find it? I’m not a big fan of places like these but even I can say that this one is great” Yuri said as they admired the 2nd floor of the cafe which Taeyeon reserved the day before for their little reunion.

 

“It’s Seohyunnie who first knew about this place, she was with me the last time we came here actually.” Taeyeon replied as she led the girls inside

 

”Maknae? Hmm. I didn’t know that she goes around much to find places like this cafe.” Sunny said from the cute little bookcase that she was admiring

 

“Hey Tae this is your treat right?” Tiffany called from in front of the cake display stand/station holding a menu book that she got from one of the cafe staff

 

“Yeah yeah. Order whatever you want. We can relax here because I reserved the whole floor” she said proud of her idea to make sure that other people won’t walk in on them.

 

“Chincha? The whole floor? Wow. Then we can safely remove our disguises right?” Sunny cheerfully said as they removed their wigs and hoodies.

 

Surprisingly, even though they chose to relax on one place, all of them settled on different places. Taeyeon by the window overlooking the river with a full view of the stairs, Sunny by the other side overlooking the park on the other side of the cafe. Tiffany chose to sit by the couch near the book case choosing to read some fashion magazines and Yuri spent her time roaming around the cafe looking at the wall paintings and designs and looking over some CDs that were neatly stacked on one side of the cafe which had some CD players and headsets for their customers to use. 

 

“Hey look the owner seems to be a big fan of our group. She has a complete set of all of our albums! Oooh look all of them are signed!” Yuri happily shouted raising the signed CDs so that the others could see. Taeyeon could only smile at their reactions thinking to herself that if only they knew who owned this cafe then they wouldn’t doubt how involved the owner is to their group.

 

 

 

“Ayo GG!” called Sooyoung as they climbed to 2nd floor of the cafe.

 

“Hey Shikshin order up Taengoo’s treating all of us!!” Yuri said from her seat while the table in front of her and Tiffany, who moved to her side earlier, was filled with different kinds of cakes and snacks. They ordered everything on the menu because they wanted to try all the snacks and it was not everyday that Taeyeon volunteers to treat them.

 

“Yes! Whoohoo!” Sooyoung cheered as she pulled the seat infront of Yuri and started tasting all the food on the table.

 

“Taengoo’s treating? That’s new. Kind of makes me think that something’s up”” Hyoyeon said as she, Seohyun, and Yoona reached the others.

 

“What can’t a leader treat her members? I-I just wanted all of us to relax from all the stress of our work.” she defended herself, afraid that they would suspect what she was planning

 

“Yah Kim Hyoyeon! Don’t think about it too much, she’s paying so let’s make her spend much. She already reserved the whole floor.” Sunny ordered from the tables which they placed together to make more room for the food. By now the were all seated around the tables that they moved, eating and chatting. 

 

“By the way what’s this cafe called? And who’s the owner? Seohyun and Taeyeon seems to know and they both seem to trust the staff so much to bring all of us here without fear of being found.” Tiffany asked loudly since they were all too noisy

 

“The cafe is called Nove Coppe meaning.....” Seohyun started to explain then from the side of the stairs a familiar voice answered Tiffany's questions making them all turn to look.

 

“Nine Cups...Nove Coppe means Nine Cups. I’m the owner by the way. And you should trust the staff because I’ll fire them if they ever talk about the secrets of this place.” She answered as she finally came into full view of the girls who were frozen on their seats as they heard her familiar voice.

 

“What no greeting for your long lost sister?” Jessica coldly asked before breaking into a warm smile “I missed you girls and I sure hope you missed me too”

 

“Sica!!!!!!” they shouted as one and ran to hug her, all but Taeyeon and Seohyun who were happily watching the whole scene.

 

“Haha whoa there. I guess this means you missed me as well? Ah finally I can see you girls, I’m getting tired of seeing Taengoo’s face whenever she barges into my house looking for food” Jessica playfully said as they finally made it back to the table, the girls moving their chairs to make room for her.

 

“What! So you mean the one who was in contact with you was Taengoo and Hyunnie?” Yoona asked but it was Seohyun who answered

 

“Um... I actually never lost contact with Sica-unnie even when she left the group and she and Tae-unnie only reconnected this year.” She answered leaving some facts about Taeyeon out of the conversation 

 

“Sica, I’m...We’re sorry for getting mad at you.... We didn’t know....you should have told us....maybe we could have done something to stop it.” Sunny said sadly as she held one of Jessica’s hands

 

“Don’t worry, what happened is all in the past all we can do is to move forward from here. Now since you girls are here what can you say about my cafe? Do you like it? How about the food? Why don’t you tell me how you girls have been all this time, we have a lot of things to catch up on. ” She asked changing the mood of their conversation, it has been so long since they were all together and so she didn’t want the mood to be heavy compared to how they used to bond and relax when they were all still in the same group. 

 

“Oh And mind you, whatever Taeyeon said about treating all of you for food, she’s bluffing, just the fact that she took you here and called me as well means I’ll be the one paying.” Jessica followed up with a playful slap at Taeyeon beside her who rubbed her arm pouting at her.
