Chapter Ten
The girl he loves
It was one clear Saturday morning when the six friends decided to crash in Sana’s house.
Sana and Tzuyu alongside with Vernon were at convenient store at the moment, meanwhile Seulgi and Wonwoo were at the backyard basking underneath the warm rays of the sun, enjoying their time listening to Wendy singing her heart out.
As usual, her voice always manages to make them relaxed.
“Will you promise to be there?”
Stay by my side always whenever I need you.
Don’t let me down.
If I give you my all, don’t let me fall.
Would you do that for me, hold me?
Will you love, will you love me?
My heart is ready for love and to be loved.
And I chose you, baby.
That’s the one thing I'm sure of so I will take this one last step.
“So catch me, I’m falling for you.”
Wendy was born an art and an artist. Seulgi and Wonwoo noted that in mind, for there was something about the way she sings reminds them of the four seasons. It was like the golden sunshine of summer, the blooming flowers in spring, the magical breeze of autumn, and the tenderness of the winter snow.
It wasn’t the kind of voice that makes you swoon, rather it was the kind that makes your heart flutter. That’s why every time she serenades her friends, it feels like their hearts has flew its way to cloud nine.
Once she finished singing, Wendy set the guitar aside as she got up from the bench, plopping on the grass in between Wonwoo and Seulgi.
“Do you guys really think that Vernon and I are going to be amazing together?” she asked, eyes glued on the infinite, blue sky. “I bet whoever wants to be with me will be unfortunate.”
“Unfortunate?” Wonwoo scoffed. “Believe me, you are so loved, even when you think that you don’t deserve to be loved.”
“But I’m full of scars. I’m not worth it.” Wendy closed her droopy eyes, lips pressed into a thin line.
“That’s nonsense.” Wonwoo sighed softly. “Your worth isn’t found in your imperfections or in the mistakes you’ve made or what’s been done to you.”
“He’s right darling, whether it’s physically, mentally or both, your scars will heal, and so will you.” said Seulgi in a reassuring tone as she interlaced
