That pair of red high heels…Taeyeon’s heart started to beat so fast, she couldn’t control it. The bad thoughts running through her head where making her not think straight. She opened the room’s door without even thinking of knocking.

First thing she noticed inside was Baekhyun’s big bed. And that bed had someone on it. That someone wasn’t Baekhyun. And it wasn’t even a man.

It was a woman. Laying oh so casually on Baekhyun’s bed, fully clothed.

Taeyeon couldn’t see her very well at first, but when the woman raised her upper body from the bed…she could see it, she could see it all.

That long, jet black hair, those big innocent eyes, those bloody red lips, that milky skin, that child-like face…IU? Yeah, there she was…IU.

But what shocked her even more was…Baekhyun that was standing near the dressing…just in his boxers.

‘Taeyeon-ah?’

Baekhyun’s shaky words, the realization of the situation…that’s what made Taeyeon so shocked... She took a step back and bumped into the door, which made the bags in her hand fall on the ground, together with everything that was in them.

‘Taeyeon-ah!’

Baekhyun’s just as shaky voice called her name again, making her feel even more anxious ‘Errr…I…I can explain.’

‘No…’ she said weakly and bit her lower lip, trying to convince herself this is all a dream. This can’t be reality. This can’t be…it’s impossible.

‘ ‘I can explain’…what is there to explain, Baekhyun-ah?’ IU suddenly says raising her voice. ‘If there is someone that deserves an explanation is me. What is she doing here? You said you already broke up with her long ago…’

‘ But…but…that’s not true…it’s…’Taeyeon tried to say, but she was too overwhelmed by everything that was happening to her at the moment, she didn’t even know what to say anymore. For a person like her who always has a catty reply to anything…she was just standing there, helpless.

‘Taeyeon…just listen to me for a second, please...’ She didn’t even know when Baekhyun arrived so close to her. ‘Please…’

‘Please, it’s enough! I don’t want to hear anything anymore.’ Taeyeon said with the very little calm she had within herself.

‘What you’re doing?’ IU said ‘She is not your girlfriend anymore, throw her away of here, she is disturbing me!’

This was the last straw for Taeyeon, she couldn’t take it anymore. She was feeling completely humiliated. She never felt that humiliated in her whole life. She was feeling that stab in the back so hard, it pained her…it pained her like it was literally bleeding.

She opened the door and left the room. She was on the verge of crying.

‘TAEYEON WAIT!!!’

Baekhyun screamed to her and run to her as soon as Taeyeon disappeared, ignoring IU who was calling him back.

‘WAIT!’

Taeyeon turned around with red eyes, but there wasn’t any noticeable tear on her face yet.

Baekhyun’s screams made all the EXO members to gather on the hall to watch what’s happening. Every single EXO member was looking at the two of them with their jaws dropped. And how couldn’t they? Taeyeon and Baekhyun fighting so openly was something new for them. Not to mention Baekhyun was only in his boxers.

Baekhyun extended his hand to touch her, but before even reaching to her, he felt Taeyeon’s small hand hitting his cheek hard. So hard, half of his face turned red from the impact.

‘Don’t you dare to come near me! I don’t want to hear what you want to say! I don’t want to see you ever again! For me you are a nobody, Byun Baekhyun. That’s what you are. I regret ever loving you. I regret ever meeting you…Don’t ever try to reach for me. To me you’re dead!’

Taeyeon ended her discourse sassily and walked away, leaving Baekhyun in pain after the hit.

All EXO members then looked at IU who was in the frame of Baekhyun’s bedroom door watching the two of them as well.

Seeing the hostile way EXO members were eyeing her, IU closed the door slamming it.

‘Wow…’ Kai said getting caught in all the intensity of the situation.

‘What happened?’ Suho tried to ask calmly.

‘Do you want to die?’ Sehun said while turning to Baekhyun. ‘How dare you cheat on Taeyeon noona?’

‘Sehun…you don’t even know what are talking about…’ Baekhyun said in defense.

‘I see it very well. I can’t believe you did this to our noona. Hyung, you’re trash! You’re seriously trash!’

‘SEHUN, STOP TALKING ABOUT THINGS YOU DON’T KNOW. I AM SICK OF YOU AND ALL THE OTHER MEMBERS MEDDELING IN MY BUSSINESS…’ Baekhyun screamed at them desperately.

Baekhyun took a step back and felt something soft under his foot.

‘That’s right! You deserve to be next to Vivi’s poop…because that’s what you are! A poop!’

Sehun says and leaves for his room angrily.

The other members couldn’t even laugh at the ridicule of the situation. They all went back to their rooms, silently agreeing with what Sehun said.

Taeyeon got in her car and wanted to cry so bad. But as much as she wanted to, she couldn’t. It was a self defense mechanism. She was learned to hold it back so much, it wasn’t weird. So she started to drive. She didn’t know where to go. At SNSD’s dorm? At the company? Even at home? She didn’t know what to do anymore. In that moment everything felt meaningless for her.

Finally she arrived in front of SM’s building. Before getting off the car, she searched for her sunglasses and she put them on. She didn’t want others to observe what a mess her face was, even if she didn’t really cry.

When she reached the practice room, Rino and some of her back up dancers were chatting cheerfully.

‘Taeyeon…’ Rino approached her surprised. ‘I didn’t expect you to come back here at all today.’

‘I’ll start the practice again. But please, can you and the back up dancers leave me alone a second?’ Taeyeon asked.

Rino was noticed Taeyeon’s shaky voice, so she understood the situation and no long after, the whole dance crowd was out of the room.

Left alone in the huge practice room, Taeyeon took off her sunglasses and looked at her reflection in one of the big mirrors of the room.

‘Why are you such a fool, Kim Taeyeon? Why did you leave your guard down like this again? When will you learn? You never learn…What was it going in your head?’

A tear started to roll on her cheek.

‘Why…why did you believe him?’

And then she simply fell on her knees and started to cry to her out heart out.

Weeks later, Baekhyun was playing League of Legends in his dressing room. He took his play station there so he can have matches with Heechul when they are both at the company. He actually likes to play there way better than in the dorm where it’s noisy. Ever since the break-up that’s what he was doing. Lock himself in the dressing room and play League until very late in the night. Thankfully Shindong come by to play with him so he won’t be lonely anymore. Even if Shindong was not a bad companion at all, he liked to play with Heechul much more. But even if Heechul stated their friendship won’t change after the incident, he couldn’t help but notice how cold he had gotten with him these days.

The boys were concentrating hard on the game when Shindong started to talk about the newest gossips. Really, Shindong was the gossip person in SM.

‘You know…you and Taeyeon are the talk of the town lately.’ he said while shooting some of the opponents.

‘Really?’ Baekhyun answered trying to look indifferent.

‘Yeah, not even kidding. We all believe you had quite the guts to cheat on her.’

Baekhyun didn’t say anything and just pretended he didn’t hear it.

‘They say she put some people to vandalize her ex-boyfriend’s car when he broke-up with her, did you know? Girl is such a psycho, she always was, you made the right decision, you’ll be better off without her.’

When he heard these words, Baekhyun took the remote control in his hand and turned off the game they were playing.

‘WHHHHHAAAAA….WHY DID YOU DO THIS? I was about to finish this level!!!’

‘Get out!’ Baekhyun said calmly.

‘What’s up man?’

‘Get out!’ Baekhyun repeated still calm.

‘Ah, you got upset about what I said about Taeyeon? I thought you don’t feel anything for her anymore after you cheated on her…’ Shindong pauses when he sees the hateful way Baekhyun looks at him ‘She’ll be on the next dude that will come anyway, so don’t grow white hairs over it. You know what they say about her and J…’

‘GET OUT! I am serious!.’

Shindong gets off his seat and leaves with Baekhyun slamming the door behind him.

‘Great, it’s not even a month and I’ve lost so many people already!’ Baekhyun said to himself bitterly.

He went back to the play station. But he wasn’t feeling like playing at all. His mood was totally ruined by Shindong’s words.

He looked at his wristwatch and realized it’s almost 10PM. He said he should stop and go back to the dorm already.

As he was just passing by the practice rooms the sound of a piano started to ring in his ears. And that play sounded so damn familiar.

‘That song, ‘If’…’

Yeah, Taeyeon’s If, that song she sang that day when they first met. That song he tried to teach her to play on the piano so many times.

‘What if it’s her…’ Baekhyun’s heart started to beat fast and he hurried to see from what room the sound come from.

‘If I were to go

It keeps on hanging in my mind’

Disappointment. That was the voice of a male. But it was such a beautiful voice, Baekhyun couldn’t help but be curious whose was it.

After the song finished, Baekhyun entered the room and started to clap. At the black piano, there was standing a very young boy Baekhyun swore he has never seen around before. It was definitely a new trainee.

‘S—S—Sunbae!’ the boy immediately stood up and bowed 90 degrees.

Baekhyun thought it was very funny to be called sunbae, it was yesterday he was a trainee too, it felt so weird to act like a senior. He took a good look to the guy next to him. He looked around 16 and he was quite handsome too.

‘What’s your name?’ Baekhyun asked casually.

‘Lee Jinhwan, sir!’

‘Nice skills you got there!’

‘Thank you, I am really grateful to receive these words from you!’ the boy was standing there stoned. He couldn’t believe a star like Baekhyun passed by to compliment him.

‘For what do you prepare this song for?’

‘There is a competition next month! They choose trainees for the next NCT unit.’

‘Really? So you must be an A rank trainee if you can participate!’

‘Yes, I am!’

‘For how long have you been training?’

‘It’s around 3 months now.’

‘Whoa! And you are already an A rank!’

There is no wonder, Baekhyun thought, the boy seemed to have quite the skills and good looks. He definitely had this SM feel.

‘And why did you choose that song? Don’t you know it’s a bad move to sing the company’s songs?’

‘Yes, but I really really like Taeyeon’s sunbae’s song!’

‘So you’re a fan of hers!’

‘Of course I am!’

Damn, Taeyeon is really capturing the heart of these male young trainees like Pokémon’s! Fortunately this guy is just a kiddo. He’s not in the competition! Baekhyun thought.

‘I am happy to meet you, Jinhwan-ah! Fighting for your competition!’ Baekhyun said.

‘You’re so good to me, sunbae!’

They greet goodbye.

Baekhyun couldn’t help but find himself in Jinhwan. Just like him, he was a teenager that dreamed to sing. Become a trainee with difficulties. But he was so hard working, he reached the A rank in less than 4 months too.

Just like Jinhwan, Baekhyun used to sing ‘If’ a lot as a trainee. But not for a competition. Just to give him strength. He always thought of Taeyeon when playing that song and that’s why it would give him so much strength to go. He always remembered that shining day when he first met her in person. Then that night in the practice room when they talked and she encouraged him so much.

‘Oh, it!’ Baekhyun tells to himself after a tear dropped from his eye when those memories with Taeyeon come back to him.

‘That’s not the moment to be weak, Baekhyun! I know it’s hard but you’ll find strength!’

‘I started to talk to myself. The members are right, I am really going to go crazy! And it’s all because of you, Kim Taeyeon!’

Taeyeon was waiting to perform for a music show in her promotional cycle. Her comeback was an insane success and everybody around her suddenly started to kiss the ground she’s walking on as expected.

But as much as she tried to be happy about all the crazy achievements, she couldn’t.

She was still in pain from what happened with Baekhyun. She somehow regrets for not waiting for him to explain himself, just like he let her do with that Crush incident. But on the other side…what was there to explain? She was there in his bed, while he was almost .

Then…he didn’t even bother to contact her afterwards. If there was an explanation then why didn’t he try to talk to her? Why didn’t he try to make himself clean like she did?

That’s the cold truth. He cheated on her and he isn’t taking it back. He wanted to end it with her.

She hates him so much! She wants him to not ever be born.

But what is this feeling of longing that lingers in her heart? Does she miss him?

Baekhyun is such a serious addiction for her. She had relationships in the past, she was cheated on in the past, she cried for boys in the past. But she got over it quite quickly.

What was so special this time?

‘I must have really loved Baekhyun very much!’ Taeyeon thought to herself as she was punching the spot where her heart was.

It hurts. It hurts so much.

Last time they fought because of Crush, it wasn’t even half as painful. Because back then she didn’t hate him. But she does now. And it’s killing her. To hate something, but also want it to death. This feeling was killing her.

Suddenly she heard some knocks on the door. And her heart started to race like no tomorrow.

‘Baekhyun…’ she murmured.

Whenever she is promoting, Baekhyun would always come by when she is on music shows and surprise her with a bucket of her favorite flowers. Well, it was not a surprise anymore since she knew it will happen anyway. But she would wait for him at every music show possible and anticipate his surprise arrival all the time.

She run to door and opened it with excitement all over her face. The staff have wouldn’t have knocked for sure.

And first thing she saw was an absolutely huge bucket of red roses. It was so big, the face of the person behind it could hardly be seen.

‘Baekhyun…’ she said almost inaudible, her heart was beating so hard, it was suffocating.

But then the person revealed their face…and it wasn’t Baekhyun.

The disappointment on Taeyeon’s face was so obvious when Beast’s Junhyung’s smiling face appeared through the dozen of roses.

‘Congratulation for your 5th win, Taeyeon-ah! Please receive this present from me!’

Taeyeon froze for a moment, then she smiled. A huge beaming smile, that it was obviously so fake.

‘Oh my God, Junhyung oppa, this is so beautiful!’

She genuinely loved the flowers and was happy for his arrival. They were good friends since he debuted. And ever since he had a crush on her and she knew it very well. But she never took it seriously. She liked his surprise, but she wanted him to be someone else, she wanted it so badly.

‘I am happy to see you liked them!’

‘Of course! Come in!’ she said while she reached for the bucket then place it on her make-up table.

‘Take a seat!’ she said and he obeyed happily.

He took a seat on the big couch of the room. Then she come and seat near him, but on a considerable distance.

‘How have you been these days?’ Taeyeon asked politely.

‘It would be a lie if I said it’s fine. The boys and I lost our band name to Cube and now we have to rename ourselves. We are really anxious about everything now!’

‘I heard about it, I am really sorry for what is happening to you, guys!’

‘But, Taeyeon-ah, your album gave me so much strength these days. I am really grateful. I love to listen to you sing.’

Junhyung shamelessly closed the gap between Taeyeon and him and leaned in to her face, as his eyes were looking intently into her brown orbs.

‘I love to listen to you sing, Taeyeon-ah!’ she remembers Baekhyun telling her, in one of the times like these, when they would spend time together before one of her performances.

‘Everybody does!’ she replied proudly.

‘But…I love to hear your voice more in other times! Like when you call me and tell me ‘Good morning!’ in that cheerful tone of yours. Or when you tell me to take care anytime we part ways. Or when you…make that sounds…when we…you know.’

Her cheeks turned pink and Baekhyun couldn’t help but smile at her shyness.

‘And even when you scold me. You know you are too adorable when you suddenly scream ‘Baekhyun!’ then move your cute nose in disturbance.’

Baekhyun forces her close to him.

‘Those lips, those lips that always have honey coming out of them…I want to kiss them so bad!’

He says as he cups her now red cheeks and his eyes fall on the beautiful shade of her lips.

He leaned in and started to kiss her eagerly. It was a kiss full of passion.

But when Taeyeon goes back to conscience, she realized she was kissing Junhyung all this time. She pulls away from the kiss sharply.

Junhyung awkwardly backs out too as she doesn’t have the courage to even look in his eyes.

‘I think I’ll go now!’ he says as he gets up from the couch.

‘Wait, I’ll accompany you to the door!’ Taeyeon says trying to stop all this awkwardness from their kiss.

They both were at the door when they greet goodbye.

‘Wait a second!’ Junhyung tells her before she could close the door.

‘My parents just opened a restaurant. Can you…come with me at the inauguration?’ he asked shyly.

He liked her for as long as he remembers learning her name, he can’t miss this chance. It doesn’t matter if she refuses him, he has to try.

‘When is that?’ Taeyeon asks without leaving any clue if it’s a yes or no.

‘Next month on the 14th!’

Taeyeon was so torn about what she’s supposed to say. She knew very well that Junhyung is inviting her on a date. On a date that might involve meeting his parents too.

She doesn’t want to date him. She never felt more than sincere friendship for him. But she wants to forget Baekhyun so bad. How can she though? When she doesn’t give any chance to the other guys?

‘Wait until they put together my schedule for the next month, ok?’

Junhyung knew this answer was rather a ‘no’ but he didn’t stop hoping.

‘Fine, I’ll wait for your answer then!’

After Junhyung left, Taeyeon sighed heavily and threw her little body on the couch again. She couldn’t believe she was as stupid as kissing Junhyung while thinking of Baekhyun. That’s so soooo stupid of her.

And even more stupid was why…is she thinking of Baekhyun at all? Why can’t she control her heart?

She hates this situation so much, she’s going crazy.

As she was standing there, she felt her phone vibrating near her. She checked what it was about hoping the other SNSD members left encouraging messages to her before the stage. Their messages never fail to make her smile.

But unfortunately it wasn’t it. There were just some stupid notification from social media accounts.

She didn’t know what to do with her life anymore, so she opened a random news site she got a notification from.

‘Oh…’ Taeyeon says. She forgot she subscribed to be announced anytime an article about Baekhyun was posted. She should delete that subscription before she gets her mood even worse.

‘SM and Loen confirm the relationship, Baekhyun and IU are now officially a couple’

‘What the hell?’

I tried my best to have a quick update, guys.

Also I tried to make a smooth transition to other episode of Baekyeon’s relationship and I hope you won’t find the action too fast paced. I personally don’t think it is.
