Jung Hoseok

When Jungkook and I arrived at Sophie’s houses we saw Jin opening the door. ‘Jin wait’ He looked up and smiled. ‘Hi guys’ he said and let us in. ‘Jungkook, you know where her room is right?’ ‘Yes, come J-Hope’ and we went upstairs. Jungkook nodded and he opened the door. Taehyung was laying on a 2 person bed and Sophie was sitting behind her bureau. Her phone was plugged in her laptop and she was busy typing. ‘Hi guys. You know Sophie’s bed is really comfortable.’ Sophie looked up from her laptop and turned around. ‘Hi, shall we begin? You can sit on my bed. I will show you a book with art. There is one problem because it is in Dutch but I can translate it for you’ ‘Okay’ I said and Jungkook and I sat down next to Teahyung. She stood up and walked to her bookcase. She grabbed a thick book with all kinds of papers in it. She walked to us and gave Jungkook the book since he sat in the middle. Her phone made a sound and she walked to it. Jungkook opened the book and started to browse through the book. He stopped at a page with a painting of a girl. Sophie had taped an paper in it with an drawing of the painting. ‘Woah, did you made this?’ Jungkook asked. Sophie came towards us with her phone and looked. ‘Yah, it’s a drawing of the girl with the pearl’ ‘It’s really pretty’ I said. She smiled and turned around ‘I will get my laptop so we can start’.

Taehyung took the book from Jungkook and a photo fell out. I picked the photo and looked at it. The photo showed Sophie and a guy. The guy was kissing her cheek and Sophie smiled widely. She looked really happy. Jungkook also looked at the photo. ‘Sophie, who is that guy?’ She looked at him ‘Who do you mean?’ Jungkook took the photo out of my hand and held it up so Sophie could see it. She gasped a little and her hand shot to her stomach. Her hand laid flat on her stomach and it looked like it hurted. ‘H-He is nobody’ and she grabbed the photo. Taehyung looked worried at her ‘Are you okay?’ she putted the photo in a box under her bureau ‘Yah, I’m fine’. She walked back with her laptop and sat down in between Jungkook and Taehyung. ‘Let’s start’

A loud sound broke the silence it was an alarm clock. I pressed the out-button and opened my eyes. My clock showed that it is 8.30. I stretched and stood up. This week is testweek but today I’m free. I still need to wake up early because I need to learn for tomorrow. I walked to my closet and grabbed a pair of light blue jeans and a white T-Shirt with an flower on it. I changed and brushed my brown hair. I searched for socks and went downstairs. In the kitchen were sitting a boy and a girl. ‘Take your medicine’ The boy said with an firm voice. ‘No’ The girl answered ‘I don’t want to’ The boy sighted. ‘Take it and after it eat your breakfast’ ‘No, I’m not hungry’. It was the usual fight of Abby and Alex. ‘Ab, just take your medicine and eat your food.’ ‘Ughhh, NO’ Abby started to get annoyed. I ignored them as usual. ‘Yarah, please tell her that she need to take her medicine and eat her food’ Alex looked at me. ‘NO, Yarah’ Abby said. I sighted and on the moment I wanted to say something another girl came the kitchen in. ‘Kate! Please tell Abby-‘ ‘NO’ The girl looked at them and said ‘Abby take your medicine and go rest in your room, Alex you should go and leave Abby alone.’ Abby muttered something and took her medicine. Alex looked at her and left. I quickly made breakfastand went to the living room.

Marilynn and Luna were already in the living room. Luna was busy with her laptop and Marilynn was studying. I tried to start an conversation so I said ‘Did you guys study hard?’ They both hummed something that sounded like ‘Leave me alone’. I sighted and started to eat. We are with 7 people in this house and there is nobody to speak with. You have Marilynn, Luna, Kate, Abby, Alex, Lucy and me of course. Marilynn and Luna are studying, Kate is making breakfast and cares for Abby, Abby is resting since she has a burn out, Alex I don’t know where he is and Lucy is walking with our dog. I decided to face-time Sophie. I grabbed my phone and called her.

Sophie Smith

We were working on the project when my phone started ringing. I grabbed it and looked at the screen. It was Yarah she was trying to face-time me. ‘Is it okay if I take this call and face-time with my laptop?’ ‘Yeah, it’s okay I guess’ J-Hope said. I accept the call and Yarah was showing up on the screen of the laptop. ‘Hi Sophie!’ ‘Hi’ Yarah looked at the boys that were sitting on my bed ‘Why are there always guys in your room if I see you?’ She said in English. ‘Because I’m attractive’ I responded also in English. We both laughed and the boys watched me. ‘Wait I recognize that one’ She said now in Korean and she pointed at Jungkook. ‘I didn’t know that your friends could speak Korean’ Taehyung said. ‘It is our dream to live here in Korea’ Yarah was still looking at Jungkook and smiled.

‘Marilynn your crush is here, come say hello to Jungkook’ J-Hope and Taehyung looked at Jungkook who was looking at Yarah. ‘Yarah you are so mean’ A voice screamed. Someone trew a pillow at her but she missed. Yarah started laughing and I smiled. ‘Jungkook how does she know your name?’ J-Hope asked. ‘Well, I was with Sophie when her friend called and she was also there jumping around the room.’ He answered. That reminded me of something ‘Yarah, how was your dance performance?’ ‘I stopped’ ‘Wait, what?’ Yarah took  bite of something and answered ‘It was only shaking with my so I stopped. I want to be a real dancer not a girl who can shake her very good.’ ‘You have a great ’ the voice from the girl that threw a pillow at her said. ‘Mer that’s not funny’ I started to laugh. That was so an Marilynn thing to say.

 Yarah was still eating ‘Do you have testweek?’ ‘Yes, but I’m free today. Which means that if they are gone I need to care for Abby and the big bad wolf’ The big bad wolf that is the way she calls our husky. We bought it after the accident to love again and forget everything. ‘How is it with Abby?’ I asked worried. After the accident everybody was in a kind of shock. Abby started to work really hard. She was a model and she also started to eat less. She had developed an Eating Disorder. She came in the hospital and there they also finded that she has an lung disease, nothing serious if she takes her medicine, and then she got an burn-out. She is doing better but she is not the old one.

 Yarah shrugged her shoulder with an sad expression. ‘I think that she has a bad day today but she is doing better’ I nodded. Then a guy came in. He walked towards Yarah and slung his arms around her neck, laid his head on her shoulder and said ‘Yarah can I have some of your food?’ Yarah sighted took some food and she brought it to his mouth on the last moment she putted it in her own mouth. ‘Sorry, I don’t have any food left. Besides I’m not going to feed you like a little baby’ He sighted and look at me. ‘Soph!’ I smiled widely ‘Al’ ‘How are you? And why are there guys in your room? Are you replacing me as your BFF?’ and he gasped a little. ‘I’m fine, because of a project and how could I replace such a good friend as you?’ I answered. I was speaking in English again. ‘Well, I need to go further with me project so I will speak to you guys later’ Yarah and Alex nodded and they stopped the call.

‘Is he her boyfriend?’ J-Hope asked. I giggled and said ‘No they are not. Why?’ J-Hope was blushing and Jungkook said ‘Because he likes her’ We all laughed. ‘But I see you already have an friend of Sophie falling for you Jungkookie’ He said. Now it was Jungkook’s turn to blush. ‘Let’s go further with the project okay?’ I asked the boys. ‘Okay’. I searched for some more information but noticed that they couldn’t concentrate anymore. I closed my laptop and stood up. ‘Where are you going?’ Taehyung asked. ‘Well, you guys can’t concentrate so I think it’s best to stop and go on some other day.’ They all nodded. ‘I need to go’ J-Hope said. ‘Me too’ Jungkook said. We all stood up and walked downstairs. Jin was cooking ‘Bye guys’ he said before we walked to the door. ‘Thank you for letting us work here’ Jungkook said and he and J-hope waved and walked away. ‘Aren’t you going home?’ Taehyung smiled ‘Well, I wanted to ask if I could eat here’ I closed the door and we walked to the kitchen. ‘You need to ask oppa’. ‘Jin, can I eat here tonight’ He said to Jin. Jin looked at him ‘Sure, why not’ and continued cooking. ‘Sophie, could you set the table’ ‘Okay’ and I took some plates and placed them on the table.  

A few minutes later we were all eating. Jin and Taehyung were talking about dancing and I just listened to them when suddenly the bell rung. Jin stood up and walked to the door. I heard him opening the door ‘James?’ I almost choked and started to cough. ‘Jin is it right?’ ‘Yes’ Jin said dryly. ‘I’m just here to warn you. Please leave Sophie alone because she will get you killed.’ I stood up and ran to the door. I pushed Jin away and grabbed James collar. ‘What are you doing here’ He smiled but I could see in his eyes that he was scared. ‘I’m just warning them’ I really wanted to punch him in the face but someone grabbed my wrist and pulled me away. I hit the hand that was pulling me away and faced James. ‘Leave me and my friend away or I will kill you. You know what I can do so I would be scared if I was you’ and I pushed him so he fell on the ground. I looked one last time at him and walked back inside leaving a scared James and a confused Jin and Taehyung.

I walked to the fridge and searched for stress food. I had found a bag with baby carrots and sat down on the couch. I started to eat when Jin and Taehyung came in. ‘Sophie what was that?’ Jin asked and he came sitting next to me. ‘He deserved it’ I said. Taehyung came sitting on the other side of me and tried to take a carrot. ‘No’ and I hit his hand soft ‘Go find your own stress food’ He chuckled ‘Stress food?’ ‘Yes stress food do you have problems with it’ I said angry. He shook his head ‘No, it’s just that it sounds funny. But what did he here?’ He looked at Jin. ‘He said that he came to warn me for Sophie because will get me killed’ Now they were both looking at me. ‘Don’t you have to explain something?’ Jin asked. I sighted ‘No, I don’t. I’m going to my room. See you at school Taehyung.’ And I left.

Kim Seokjin

‘No, I don’t. I’m going to my room. See you at school Taehyung’ and she left. I looked at Taehyung. ‘She is a mystery’ He said. ‘I know, she has a lot of nightmares they end almost every time with her screaming for Ashia.’ I sighted. I really want to help her but she doesn’t let me. ‘I think I need to go’ Taehyung said and I nodded. I let him out and walked upstairs.

I knocked on Sophie’s door and a hum came out as sign that I could come in. I opened the door and saw Sophie laying on her bed. She had her hair loose and it was laying around her head like a half circle. She had also her glasses off. In her hand she had an photo. I sat down on her bed but she pulled me down so we laid next to each other. ‘Who is that in the photo?’ I aksed. She looked at it with an sad smile and give it to me. It was Sophie smiling widely while a guy kissed her cheek. ‘Is that the guy that was aggressive to you?’ She nodded ‘This photo fell out of my arts book. Jungkook showed it to me and I haven’t see this picture in year or something. It’s hard to think that I once loved him, that he loved me, that we were the cutest couple, that I could trust him.’ She looked at me. ‘I did this because of him’ and she showed her wrists. If you looked good you could see a thin mark on both her wrists. I gasped a little.

She said she had tried to kill herself but I didn’t thought she really did. ‘Did you really cut yourself because of him?’ She sighted ‘Yes, I did. I was still in the hospital and the doctors found me in time. I did it just before the new year started. I wanted to be dead before the year started’ she smiled at me with an sad smile. ‘December is the hardest month for me so that’s why my friends are coming then. The beginning is fun, with your birthday and Presentnight but the time around Christmas and new year are really hard for me. I hope you understand that I will be quit and sad that time’ I looked at her and hugged her. ‘Of course I understand.’ I stopped hugging her ‘How many friends will come?’ ‘7, 6 girls and a guy’ ‘Where are they going to sleep?’ She smiled ‘In my room’ ‘With an guy’ ‘Yes, I slept with him before’ I looked at her and then she realized what that sounded like ‘That sounded wrong, I mean we slept in one room together. He is my bff and the only guy I fully trust besides you. He is like a big brother so don’t worry’ I smiled. ‘You need to go sleep’ She nodded and yawned. ‘Goodnight oppa’ ‘Goodnight’ and I went to my own room. I changed and laid on my bed. I was thinking about that guy in the photo, the way Sophie smiled and the marks on her skin. She opening towards me, she was trusting me more. With an little smile on my face I was falling asleep.
