Tiffany sat cross-legged in her messy bedroom. Her hands were on her legs. Tiffany controlled her breath, a moment later she opened her eyes. She couldn’t do yoga in the middle of this untidy room. Tiffany sighed, she was too lazy to even move her body. She decided to turn on the radio behind her. “Hello, yorobun! Dj Lee Soonkyu is here! How are you today?” Tiffany looked at the alarm clock beside the radio. Oh, it’s time already for Sunny’s program. Sunny, one of her college friends, was a DJ at SBS Power FM. Her program, Bimil… got high ratings and filled the prime time in Seoul. That program was so popular it’s broadcasted twice a day. Bimil… was liked by many people because the contents were varied. Start from info updates to newest songs. However, the most liked segment in Bimil… was when the listeners called or wrote emails to share their secrets. Tiffany sometimes listened to the program when she had spare time. Tiffany lowered the volume and started to concentrate again. “Alright, yorobun. It’s time for reading emails and receiving calls to share the secrets. Let’s start with reading an email from Park Heejun-ssi. He wants to tell us his secret when he’s in the army…” Tiffany breathed. One, two, three. “…And that’s it, an email from Park Heejun-ssi. What embarrassing and funny stories! Wah, I wanted to play the song Heejun-ssi asked for but it seems we got a call…” Tiffany’s shoulder followed her breath. “Hello, who’s there?” “Hello…” The caller’s voice somehow bothered Tiffany. She felt like she’s heard this soft voice before. “Yes, what’s your name?” “I’m Eru…” “Eru? Are you a singer?” Sunny jokingly replied. The man on the phone named Eru chuckled. “No, I’m not. I’m not even Korean.” “You’re not Korean? But your speaking is so good. I can’t believe it.” Sunny said. “Okay, Eru, who's not Korean. What secret do you have? Can you tell us?” “Uhm…” The caller sounded hesitant, “I don’t know if it’s a secret or not. But, I haven’t told anyone else so this would be the first time…” Tiffany opened her eyes again and increased the volume. She tried to listen to the man’s voice clearly. “It doesn’t matter! We all love hearing stories!” “Oh. Okay. I just arrived in Seoul last week to work and my plan was to go to my rented flat to rest. But, my stomach didn’t agree. It sounded and growled so bad, so I decided to have lunch at the Burger restaurant in Gangnam district. Burger was the only food I could think about because I wasn’t familiar with Korean dishes just yet, you know. I’m from New York.” Tiffany her lip. He’s from U.S. “I chose to eat outside the restaurant and watch people around me. And I saw her. A girl…crossed a street. It’s like she stood out among the people there, it’s like my eyes are destined to meet her face…” “I told you, I haven’t fallen in love with a stranger before but this girl was different. This girl…” No sound. “Ah, continue!” Tiffany rocked her radio. But it turned out the problem didn't come from her radio. “Hello? Eru-ssi?” Sunny called. No answer. “Unfortunately, yorobun, we’ve lost contact with Eru-ssi.” Sunny couldn’t hide her disappointment in her voice either. “It looks like our listeners are curious about your story, Eru-ssi. Our SNS are exploding right now and frankly, I’m curious too. Is it love at the first sight? Do you ask her for a date? Don’t hesitate to call us again if there’s another story, Eru-ssi. Fine, let’s hold our curiosity and let’s listen to this song first…” Tiffany didn’t usually really take interest in that kind of love story. She was a very logical person. But, that man’s voice when he told his story just made Tiffany drown into the story and how he sounded so sincere intrigued Tiffany. She could tell that man must be a romantic type of guy. Tiffany became more curious about that man than the story itself. Tiffany tilted her head. She swore she ever heard that man’s voice somewhere. Tiffany closed her eyes again. “Hello…I’m Eru.” “Hello, I’m Rudy Lee.” She was startled. Why did Rudy Lee’s voice sound in her head? Rudy Lee? Really? Her memory wasn’t bad at all and she’s good at remembering voices. Moreover she often listens to the radio because she’s a DJ herself when she’s in college. But could that be Rudy Lee? ‘I’m from New York.’ New York. Rudy Lee was from New York. ‘I was just arrived in Seoul last week to work’ Rudy Lee just arrived last week. Gangnam. YG Advertising’s in Gangnam. Eru. E-Ru. Lee-Ru. Lee Rudy. Rudy Lee?! Tiffany shook her head fast. “I must be getting dizzy looking at all this unorganized stuff in my room that my head is getting messy.” Ah, yes. Tiffany and Siwon planned to have lunch today. She could confirm it to him. Tiffany stood up with much difficulty because her feet began to numb. She walked slowly and threw herself to the bed as she massaged her feet. Tiffany grabbed her iPhone and called Siwon. ”Oppa!” she yelled as soon as Siwon’s voice sounded. She couldn’t hold her smile. “Miyoung? What is it?” “I guess it is useless telling you not to call me by my Korean name. You’ve been calling me that for almost five years.” Tiffany replied. “That’s not a big deal. Miyoung, Tiff. What’s the difference?” Siwon chuckled. “You called me just to say that?” “Of course not, oppa. It’s for this afternoon. Where will we have lunch? You’re picking me up, aren’t you?” “Ah…Lunch…” Tiffany didn’t like Siwon’s tone. That tone indicated that someone forgot his promise. “I’m sorry Tiff. I can’t seem to have lunch with you today.” Tiffany’s smile faded and she hissed annoyingly. “Are you fine?” Siwon asked innocently. “I’m fine!” she responded crossly. “Why can you? You better have a good reason, oppa. Not only because you’re feeling bad for refusing a fan girl who asked you on a date.” “Now you’re talking strangely again, Tiff.” Siwon laughed. “It’s work. I know what’s in your mind. This is Saturday. But Yang Hyunsuk Sajang called me this morning. I’ve been in YG since one hour ago waiting for him to finish his meeting.” “Alright…” Tiffany surrendered. Then she suddenly remembered, “Oppa, your U.S friend. That candidate, Rudy Lee, who you introduced to me last week…” “Yes, why about him?” “Where is he now? Did he tell you something?” “I don’t know. Maybe in his flat, I haven’t talked to him since three days ago. Why are you asking about him?” “Nothing.” “I smelled something here, Hwang Miyoung.” Siwon investigated. Tiffany squinted her eyes, “No. don’t misunderstand oppa. I’m just asking because I thought I heard his voice at SBS Power FM. And you ever said he loves listening to the radio so I wonder if that’s really him.” “You want me to ask him?” “No. I was just curious. It’s not important at a
