Tiffany didn’t come back to Changwook’s room. She walked straight out from the hospital. Her head was hurt and her hear beat fast, too fast. She needed to think, alone. Tiffany didn’t remember how she could reach her apartment. In a semi-conscious state she went into the bedroom and curled in bed without turning on the lights. She kept motionless like that with a blank look until she unconsciously closed her eyes. The silence in her apartment was suddenly broken by a loud ring. Tiffany gasped because she didn’t really fall asleep, it’s from her phone. She just realized the sky outside her window started to turn reddish. She must have been closed her eyes for a long time. But she didn’t care anyway. “Halo?” she said as she put her phone on her ear. Her voice was hoarse. “Where are you?” Siwon asked straightly. Tiffany could imagine Siwon must have been confused. Tiffany didn’t answer. “Where restroom exactly did you go to? Your sister and father were looking for you all night, you’re not answering their calls too,” said Siwon. “Oh, Tiff, Rudy is awake.” Tiffany choked. Why does it feel so painful when she only hearing Rudy’s name? “Halo, Tiff, you there? Rudy is awake.” Siwon repeated. “Mm,” Tiffany mumbled unclearly. “I’ll drive him home. You will come?” Tiffany tried to breathe normally and said. “No, I can’t go today.” “Why?” “There’s…something I need to do,” Tiffany evaded. “I’ll see him tomorrow.” Lie…That was a lie…She wouldn’t be ready to meet Changwook tomorrow. “Oh,” Siwon sounded curious. “How is he?” asked Tiffany. “He’s healed already. He’s even already plotting for a revenge,” Siwon laughed. “Good then.” “Tiff,” Siwon paused. “What’s wrong?” Tiffany was caught off guard hearing Siwon’s question, she remembered that Siwon was the person who understood herself the most beside Taeyeon. Of course he could tell if Tiffany was lying. “Ah, I’m, I’m okay,” Tiffany lied again. “Oppa, I have to go to work immediately, got an important meeting comes up. I’ll call you later.” After the call was disconnected, Tiffany turned off her phone. She didn’t want to be disturbed, by anyone. She needed to be by herself. Even though she stayed up all night, strangely enough Tiffany wasn’t sleepy at all, she just didn’t feel energetic. She couldn’t do anything, and did not want to do anything. But that’s impossible. She still had to go to work, otherwise Yoochun would go berserk. She avoided calls from Siwon, her father, and Soojung all day. Oh, and also Changwook. That man was calling her too, but she couldn’t bring herself to answer his call. She was afraid that she couldn’t handle the truth. In the end, she turned off her phone and stuck it into her drawer. “Yah, Hwang Miyoung, what’s with you today?” Yuri asked at lunchtime. “Are you sick?” Tiffany didn’t look at her friend. She just shook her head softly and leaned to her chair. “Mm, mm, you’re unusually quiet. Yesterday you were still talkative and miss wanted to know it all,” Sooyoung joined whilst chewing her chips. “Choi Sooyoung, stop eating that unhealthy food. Aren’t you scared of getting cancer?” said Yuri. “Sssshh, you’re just jealous because I’m the only one who can eat this sweetheart without adding a kilo to my scales,” Sooyoung mocked, Yuri only hissed, then focusing her attention back to Tiffany. “See? You usually wouldn’t stay still looking at Sooyoung and I quarrel each other, today you didn’t even make a sound. What’s wrong?” Tiffany put a faint smile and shook her head. “It’s nothing,” she couldn’t tell Sooyoung and Yuri. She couldn’t tell anyone. “You can tell me, Yuri might not really trustable, but me,” Sooyoung pointed her own torso. “I will keep your secret until the day I die.” “Aish, this girl,” Yuri pushed Sooyoung. “You’re only making things worse.” Tiffany closed her eyes, shaking her head and wiped her face. “Yah, it’s like you got a pretty serious problem. What happened?” Sooyoung asked worryingly. “My head hurts,” Tiffany massaged her temple. She rose up and took her purse. “I need some fresh air.” “Be careful, unnie! The forecast said it will be raining today!” Sooyoung exclaimed. Tiffany didn’t seem to hear and left her friends who could just look at her walked away. What’s with Tiffany? Did they say something they shouldn’t? Where’s Tiffany? Changwook put his phone back to his pocket. His movement was a little bit stiff because he clamped an umbrella on his arm and his body was still in pain. Ever since he got home from hospital, he couldn’t reach Tiffany. Changwook had heard from Hwang Jungmin that Tiffany unknowingly listening on his conversation with Soojung at his office. But he ensured Changwook that he hadn’t said a word to Tiffany. Soojung also told him the same thing. Changwook knew Tiffany was very curious. If that girl listened to something strange about him, she should’ve tried to find out and urged him, Soojung, or Hwang Jungmin to tell her the truth, instead of disappeared like this. Changwook had tried to reach Tiffany’s office and Sooyoung said Tiffany was gone since lunch break. Where could that girl be? Suddenly Changwook remembered. Is it possible she’s there? Unusually, sitting among the crowds of people having fun at Olympic Park didn’t bring peace. Tiffany came to that place to calm herself and think, but even after sitting there for a long time, she still didn’t know what to do. She still couldn’t accept the reality, still wish that all of these things were simply a nightmare and soon she would wake up. Her mind went blank, because her conscience refused to think. She was numb, as if all her nerves stopped functioning. Her body felt like shell without soul. How long has she been sitting here? Lately, she felt like time just went by unnoticed. Suddenly she felt something on her head, she looked up and saw rain started to pour drop by drop. People at the park stopped their activities and looking for shelters. Tiffany chose to close her eyes, letting the
