Seoul, South Korea.

That room was already darkened an hour ago. All the lights and computer had turned off, except for one table in front of the sales director’s glass door. The computer and lamp there hadn’t turned off yet because someone’s still there. The girl who filled that table shook her head several times to keep herself awake. “Done!” Stephanie Hwang leaned her back to the swivel chair and stretched her hands up. She just finished monthly report for her boss. Tiffany took her nearly run out cup of coffee and brought it to the big window. Seoul’s night scenery from the 26th floor never failed to cheer her up. “You’re still here?” Tiffany turned her head. Choi Sooyoung came to the room staring at her in wonder. Unlike Tiffany who had small and short legs, Sooyoung had long legs, one thing that Tiffany was always jealous of. And unlike Tiffany who let her black hair grow long, Sooyoung cut her brunette hair short. Overall, Choi Sooyoung had the proper body and face to be a model. Tiffany smiled weakly and looked at her watch. A quarter past nine. “What about you? Where’ve you been? Don’t say you’re in a meeting with Mr. Jaejoong?! I mean, the meeting has started since afternoon.” Sooyoung took off her glasses and sighed hard, “You know Mr. Jaejoong, Unnie. He’s so detailed. There’s a mistake in the report. The balance wasn’t same. It took us all evening to find out what’s missing.” Both of them were working at one of the best food companies in South Korea. Tiffany is an assistant sales manager while Sooyoung is a secretary of purchasing director. Even though Tiffany was more senior than Sooyoung, they’re located at the same department, Trading Department. That’s why they became closer each day. “You’ve finished your work too?” “Ya. I just finished. Mr. Yoochun surely knows how to torture his subordinate.” Tiffany massaged her neck. “You know what I want right now? Milk bathing.” Sooyoung swished in pleasure, “Do you want to go down together, Unnie?” “Key, let me take my coat first.” Tiffany drank the rest of her coffee, tidied her table, wore her coat and followed Sooyoung to the elevator. Ten minutes later, Tiffany and Sooyoung were in the elevator to the ground floor. Tiffany looked at herself in the mirror. This was the tenth year she'd lived in Seoul. Although she’s Korean to the bone, Tiffany knew the United States better because she spent her childhood with her mother. Her father wasn’t staying at home often and Tiffany never knew the reason. However, after her sister showed up, Tiffany finally got a taste of having an intact family. Her father never left anymore and stayed with them in San Francisco. But, their happiness didn’t last long. Tiffany’s mother passed away when she’s fourteen. Losing a mother was like hell for Tiffany. That’s why when her father asked her to come with him to South Korea because of work, Tiffany didn’t hesitate at all and said yes right away. She lived in Seoul with her father and sister ever since. Tiffany got into Seoul National University and worked at JYJ International, one of the biggest companies in South Korea. ‘Ting’ Elevator’s bell startled Tiffany. They’re on the ground floor. “Are you going home alone?” Tiffany asked. Sooyoung nodded. “I drove a car today. You can go with me if you’re alone too.” Tiffany shook her head. “Thank you, Sooyoung. But I am waiting for someone…” “Who? Taeyeon Unnie? Jessica Unnie?” Sooyoung mentioned their friends’ names who worked at TVXQ Ltd, a manufacturing company. “Nope, I am not waiting for them.” “Oh,” Sooyoung realized something and asked. “Are you waiting for…oppa?” Tiffany sighed. “Unfortunately, yes. He hasn’t called me since I texted him one hour ago.” Sooyoung nodded knowingly. “Then I better not bother you two.” She laughed and kissed Tiffany goodbye before going. Tiffany waved to Sooyoung lackluster. She looked at her iPhone, still no call, no text, not even a single notification from her chat room. Tiffany stomped her feet annoyingly and decided to walk to the nearest bus stop. She was walking a few steps out of the gate when a silver Lexus stopped not far from her. Looking at the driver only made Tiffany even madder. She turned around and walked fast. A man got out of that car and followed Tiffany. “Miyoung!” Tiffany heard his call, but she ignored it and kept walking to the opposite direction of the nearest bus stop. She didn’t care. “Wait for me, Hwang Miyoung!” Tiffany tried to ignore the sound of footsteps behind her. But, it didn’t take long for that man to catch up with Tiffany because his step was nearly twice Tiffany’s. “Yah, Hwang Miyoung, I know you love exercising but you don’t have to walk fast at night.” “What do you want?!” Tiffany replied crossly. She didn’t intend to be friendly. That man chuckled. “You’re in the wrong direction. Bus stop is there.” He pointed to the opposite of Tiffany’s path. Tiffany looked at that man unbelievably. He wasn’t feeling guilty at all. Tiffany turned her back and intended to walk again, but he held her arm. “Let me go, Siwon oppa!” Tiffany squirmed in vain. Choi Siwon didn’t flinch and kept Tiffany in her place. “It’s cold outside, Miyoung. We better get in the car.” “I don’t want to! Let me go before I scream for help!” Siwon almost laughed but he muted right away looking at Tiffany’s gaze, serious gaze. “Help!” Tiffany wasn’t able to finish her words because Siwon’s hand shut . “Don’t be like this Miyoung-ah. I’m sorry because I didn’t text you before. It’s so hectic at YG.” “You’re a jerk, Choi Siwon. Do you know that?” Tiffany cried as soon as Siwon’s hand got off . Siwon smiled listening to Tiffany’s squawk. “I’m really sorry because of me, you’re having dinner late. You can choose the restaurant, my treat.” Tiffany scoffed hard. “I want to eat samgyeopsal! And stop calling me Miyoung! You’re not some kind of middle aged lady!” They're already sitting in a small stall on one corner of Gangdong District. That stall is owned by a friendly ahjumma who knew Tiffany because she's a regular. The owner even treated Tiffany like her own daughter. Tiffany herself didn’t mind at all. She's glad actually because she could tell anything to the ahjumma. All kinds of Korean meat dishes are provided and of course they have soju too. Albeit its small capacity, the stall's pretty famous so it's usually hard to get a seat after work like this. Fortunately, not many people came tonight. "Aigoo, Miyoung-ah. Just got home?" Ha Yeondoo Ahjumma, the owner greeted Tiffany as she heated the charcoal. "Ye, ahjumma. Things got a little busy today at the office. Plus this man broke his promise," Tiffany ref
