Jungkook saw Taehyung sitting in the living room, talking with the ahjumma happily when he came downstairs. Jungkook smiled, ‘He is always the happy ball of sunshine. No wonder, he and Jimin look very happy all the time.’

“Ah, don’t mention, ahjumma! I will take care of Jungkookie from now on.” Jungkook heard Taehyung said to the ahjumma who laughed.

“I’m really thankful, Taehyung-ah. You just made him eat yesterday. I know, it is a shame but please our Jungkookie needs someone like you.” The ahjumma said as Taehyung nodded happily.

“Haha, I know. Jungkookie is precious. I will always be by his side. Don’t worry, ahjumma.” And then the ahjumma sighed in relieved.

“What are you doing in my house early in the morning?” Jungkook asked as Taehyung smile grew and stood up to walk to Jungkook.

“I want to go to school together with you.” Taehyung said as he held Jungkook’s hands. “I told you I will make you happy every single minute.” Taehyung said as Jungkook smiled.

“You better,” Jungkook replied as the two headed to the main door.

“Young master, have a good day,” the ahjumma said as Jungkook nodded with a smile and the two headed to their university.

“Jungkook-ah,” Taehyung called as he looked at Jungkook who smiled at him. “I need to tell you something,” Taehyung said with a sad face. The two were waiting for the bus. Taehyung argued Jungkook must use public transportation with him and Jungkook had finally agreed.

“There were so many reporters at the university. They’ll totally know you by now.” Taehyung said as Jungkook nodded.

“I just want you to know that don’t be afraid. Hyung will protect you. I will – ” Jungkook chuckled as he ruffles Taehyung’s hair.

“Don’t worry so much, I am not a little kid, hyung.” Jungkook said with a chuckle and Taehyung couldn’t help but blush at the younger’s glowing beauty.

“You – I just want – ” Jungkook smiled.

“I won’t. This day from now on, I won’t run away from you. Never.” Jungkook smiled as Taehyung blushed and nodded.

“You better not. If you ever did this again, I will follow you and kill you.” Taehyung said playfully as Jungkook chuckled.

“Yes, your highness.”

Yes, what Taehyung said was true. There were lots of reporters in front of the school’s gate. Taehyung glanced at Jungkook who showed his thumb up, giving a sign that he is ready to go in. Taehyung nodded as they both hold their hands firmly and ran for the gate.

“THERE HE IS. THE SON OF THE JEON CORPORATION!” one of the reporter said as they ran towards the duo. Taehyung firmly hold Jungkook’s hand as he pushed through the crowd.

“How is your father’s condition?”

“What do you feel when your father was thrown into jail?”

“So, your family was using the company’s fortune as your own. Does that mean what you’re wearing and what you’re buying are all from those money?”

Jungkook felt so small. All these questions are the one he wanted to avoid the most. Jungkook felt so tired. He just wanted to give up on living – but not when Taehyung is holding his hand tight and fighting for the escape. Not when Taehyung is next to him, sticking by his side. Yes, Taehyung – he lives for him. He couldn’t let him down. Jungkook smiled as he tried to push the crowd along with Taehyung and made it into the university campus. Jungkook smiled as he pulled Taehyung into a hug. “Thank you, thank you so much!”

Jimin was already in the class when Taehyung and Jungkook came in. “Hey, Jimin!” Taehyung called as Jimin waved at him and eyed Jungkook who shyly bowed at Jimin.

“Good morning, hyungnim.” Jungkook said which shocked Jimin. Jimin’s eyes went wide as he looked at Taehyung who laughed.

“Um, good morning but why – you suddenly become so … polite?” Jimin asked as Jungkook smiled while wrapping his arms around Taehyung’s shoulder.

“Because I must be good on my boyfriend’s best friend.” Jungkook announced while Taehyung blushed and hiding his face. Jimin’s jaw dropped.

“Wha- what? Since when? WHY AM I NOT IMFORMED, KIM TAEHYUNG?” Jimin shouted, glaring at his best friend who just pouted.

“I’m sorry, Jiminie!” he apologized truthfully. Jimin rolls his eyes as he looked at Jungkook who is still smiling. Jimin walked towards Jungkook and suddenly hugged the younger male. Jungkook’s eyes widened because of the sudden interaction. He was never this close with Jimin, so it is quite a shock when he suddenly does it.

“You had suffered enough.” Jimin said while patting Jungkook’s back. “From now on, I will be a good hyung to you.” Jimin said as he giggles. Jungkook smiled.

“Woah, you’re really lucky to have Taehyung as your boyfriend.” Jimin freed Jungkook and whispered into Jungkook’s ears. “Have you guys already had ?” Jungkook’s face gone all red as Taehyung noticed his friend is telling something impropriate.

“Shut up, Jimin. Go do that with your husband.” Taehyung snapped as he took Jungkook’s hand and took a seat next to Jimin who is left blushing because of Taehyung’s comment.

“Yeah, that’s him. His father is the one who use all the money.” Taehyung heard people gossiping behind them. Taehyung clenched his fist as he looked at Jungkook.

“Probably that’s why he could use branded things. The family is so selfish.”

“He could bribe the professor with money to get high marks!”

“They’re so rich. That’s why Kim Taehyung let him him –” Taehyung’s mind clicks as he heard Jungkook snapped the pencil and glared at the one who is talking from behind.

“Shut up, you douchebag. Stop saying about Taehyung hyung when you know nothing about him.” Jungkook said as he glared at the guy who is bad mouthing Taehyung.

“I – we – “

“Save those excuses. If I see you guys talking about hyung, I will kill you.” He hissed as he sat down.

“As expected. His father is in jail so he has the rotten behavior.” Taehyung was speechless when Jungkook said nothing when people talk bad about him. And he knew Jimin smirking at them.

“Aww, super protective boyfie.” Jimin cooed as Taehyung glared at his best friend.

“Shut up, Jimin.”

Jungkook smiled at Taehyung and mouthed, “Don’t worry, I’m okay.” Taehyung couldn’t help but feel sad. ‘If only I could protect you. If only, I am stronger – ” Taehyung felt Jungkook’s hands grabbed his hand under the table. Taehyung knew the younger needs him. He smiled as he holds them tight.

“Finally, our prince is back!” Hoseok cheered when Jimin, Taehyung and Jungkook joined the table. Jimin took a seat next to his husband who quickly put his arms around Jimin. Jungkook doesn’t miss the smile blooming on Yoongi’s lips. He will ask about their relationship later, personally to Yoongi.

Jungkook took a seat next to Taehyung and he finally noticed that the two group who always fighting except Hyosang and Hoseok who are okay with both group, are together in the same table.

“Welcome back, maknae.” Yoongi said as Jungkook nodded.

“You rascal, at least tell us where you were during the break.” Namjoon scolded. “You think we’d tell the crops? You think we will sell you, huh?” Namjoon said as Jungkook chuckled.

“I know you guys won’t. I just don’t want to trouble you guys.” Jungkook said with a shy smile while Namjoon scoffed as Yoongi rolls his eyes.

“Alright, I forgive you. But if you do that next time, I will probably follow you to kill you.” Namjoon said as Yoongi nodded.

“You heard Namjoon, maknae.” Yoongi said as Jungkook nodded while chuckling.

“I already heard that from someone.” Jungkook said as he eyed Taehyung who blush right away. Hoseok narrowed his eyes as he looked Taehyung and Jungkook suspiciously.

“Something is there between them.” Hoseok states as Jungkook smiled as he showed everyone their hands holding.

“We’re dating.” He announced as Taehyung blushed and hide his face by leaning into Jungkook’s neck. The table cheered as Jin smiled at Jungkook.

“Take care of our Taehyungie, Jungkook-ah. He has a pure heart.” Jin said as Jungkook nodded.
