Chapter VI.
The FallenJeonghan buries himself in the thick bedding.
He never wants to see him again.
Junhui…
He shakes his head rapidly, pressing the bedsheets into his ears.
Never, never again.
Junhui…
No, he cannot stop thinking about him.
Jun, with his soft brown eyes.
Jun, with his jet black hair.
Jun, with his tilted smile.
Jun, so endearingly, handsomely, beautiful.
Jeonghan wants to slap himself.
So he does.
Why can he not stop thinking about him?
A knock at the door.
Softly, softly.
Jeonghan stops moving.
Another knock, quieter.
Jeonghan throws off the covers.
A third knock, faltering.
Jeonghan leaps across the room and throws open the door.
Jun is startled, obviously about to give up and leave.
“Don’t leave me!” Jeonghan gasps, throwing his arms around Jun.
Jun’s breath hitches at the sudden warmth of Jeonghan’s face in his chest.
“Don’t leave me…” Jeonghan repeats, softer, pleadingly, beseechingly.
Jun shakes his head and pulls Jeonghan closer.
“No,” he says. “No, never.”
---
Jun’s heart is about to burst.
Jeonghan loves him back.
He walks away, trembling, still feeling the hasty kiss Jeonghan had pressed upon his lips.
It hadn’t been perfect; in fact, it had been shaky, hesitant, and somewhat wet.
But Jun could not care less.
Because Jeonghan loves him back.
Suddenly, a figure barrels into him, knocking him back quite a few feet.
“My lord!” Hansol yells, bowing down, on the verge of tears. “My sincerest apologies!”
Jun dusts himself off.
“No problem, Hansol. Where were you going?” he asks out of curiosity.
“To find you, my Lord!”
“Me?” Jun is baffled. “Why?”
“My Lord!” Hansol bursts out crying. “Jisoo has declared war on us!”
