Twenty-five years after the Battle of Hogwarts, the Wizarding community is vastly different than before. Now, the Ministry encourages intermingling with Muggles, including teaching Wizarding children more knowledge about the Muggle community. As such, the Department of Muggle Affairs is quite popular, and in order to be prepared for the work, Hogwarts students must continue their education for another seven years.

Introducing the British University of Muggle Studies, or B.U.M.S for short. At this prestigious daughter institution to Hogwarts, students will take classes on the Muggle community, including their history, school subjects, and many more. Students will also have regular field experience where they observe ordinary Muggle life and explore Muggle institutions, such as shopping malls and museums. Finally, upper-level students will take one semester of internship at a Muggle workplace and apply their knowledge to interact with Muggles.
