22 ; Never Mind
Living StorySoyung made her way down the staircase, pulling at the plain shirt she was wearing. As she fiddled with the thin material, it took her a minute to realize it was three sizes too big on her, and she stopped on the second last step.
"Why on earth is this shirt so big?" She whispered to herself, looking down at it ended at her thighs. The girl humored herself, because with the big shirt you couldn't see her pajama shorts, and she thought it was very funny it looked like she had no pants on.
"Good morning." Looking up instantly, her eyes met the tan, toned skin of Kyungil's chest, and she gasped. Staring up into his eyes, she fought off her pink blush and smiling just barely. Well that explained why the shirt was too big, because it was his. Now she just had to remember why she was wearing it, because she had completely blanked on it.
"Morning oppa..." Soyung murmured, watching as he set his hand on the side of her face and gently her cheek with the pad of his thumb.
"I made some tea for you, I remember you said you liked it first thing in the morning." The male spoke, leaning down and pressing a soft kiss to her lips. Smiling against his skin, she got up on her tippy toes and gently kissed him back.
"Thank you, I can't believe you remembered that..." she spoke quietly under her breath, looking up at the male with curious eyes. Soyung took note of his fluffy hair that was messily spread everywhere, and of his tired eyes. She reached up and gently pushed his hair back from his forehead, humming the moment it fell back into place. Hopping off the stairs, she took a hold of the older boy's wrist and dragged him off to the kitchen where two mugs of hot tea awaited them. Making her way over to the seats at the table, she sat herself down and wrapped her hand around one mug. Looking down at the drink, she found herself smiling softly, blowing at the surface of the hot drink. Kyungil sat down next to her, slumping in the chair lazily before he took the other mug and took a small sip. It was silent between them, but it was a comfortable silence. One where you didn't need to force a conversation, because it was okay to be quiet and enjoy each others company without a second thought. Though as they sat in silence, Soyung couldn't help but start to think about something, about someone.
"Gina has connections?" The girl rushed down the sidewalk next to the tall boy, her arm hooked with his still. His expression didn't change from his solid and usual frown. It was beginning to annoy the girl, because no matter what she said it wbouldn't get any reaction out of him. Frustrated, she opened to say something of it, but he beat her to it.
"It's common knowledge that's she's rich, that's the only reason she's been able to torment you like this." He started, glancing down at the girl and peeking at her hands. He pulled at her sleeve, covering her hand completely, earning a soft smile from her before he continued. "So you can't do anything at school because her father. You can't confront her because she's always one step ahead, and this now was evidence of her connections.Lot's of people owe Gina, they owe her favors or money." Sihyoung looked up, making sure they wouldn't walk into anything as they continued on the path. Soyung scoffed gently, leaning slightly closer to the male because of how cold she felt. She loathed Gina, she hated her very existence. It just wasn't fair that she could do this to good people, all because of one or two odds that were against her. She couldn't ruin her life just because she liked the boy she liked, Gina can't ruin her best friend's life just because she doesn't like her. She can't take away her happiness like that. Sihyoung stopped, looking down at her and quietly gasping. He leaned over, moving a strand of hair away from her face and softly sighing.
"What's wrong?" He asked, running his thumb under her eye, wiping away a few stray tears that she just couldn't hold in anymore. The thing about Sihyoung is that even if he appeared to be emotionless and kind of scary, he would never disregard a good person's feelings. He would never tell a good person that their feelings are invalid, because he understood more than anyone that it was okay to cry sometimes, to hate your life sometimes and beg for an escape. Plus, he would never forgive anyone for making a girl cry. Soyung sniffled a bit, her eyes closed tightly as she shook her head, his hands gently cupping either side of her face. "You gotta talk to me... I'm not going to let you hold this all in." the male lead her to a bench, watching as she shuffled her way over, making sure she wouldn't fall over the curb or anything. He sat her down and put an arm around her shoulder, looking at her and sitting in silence, with only her quiet sniffles and sighs to play as background music.
"It's just that, I can't connect the dots of why Gina's doing this. She doesn't like me because she also likes Kyungil-oppa, but that doesn't give her an excuse to put a ing bounty on me and get me killed. If she wants him so bad she can ha-" She trailed off, looking down at her hands which were nervously holding each other, slightly shaking. Soyung leaned her head against his chest, sighing quietly as she tried to collect herself. "Sihyoung, can I tell you something?" Soyung whispered, wiping at her eyes with her sleeves, taking a deep breath. He gently squeezed her shoulder, nodding softly as he pulled her closer just slightly.
"I told you, you can tell me anything." she could hear the sincerity, and she knew he meant it, because it seemed ever since she met him, she came to him when she needed to talk.Soyung sealed her eyes shut, keeping her eyelids glued down as she didn't want to look up and see him. Burying her face in the fabric of the older boys hoodie, she took a deep breath and tried to find the strength to tell him this. It was hard, to admit the truth, to step up and accept it.
"I love him Sihyoung, I love Kyungil." The girl whispered out, shaking her head as she felt his body stiffen. "But I don't know if I can be with him if it's going to cause Minjae pai
