Suzanna didn’t wear her nerd glasses as usual because she could see pretty well without them. She only wore them to school because she was slightly short-sighted and she sits at the back during class.

Without her glasses, she was a whole new person. She was extremely pretty, though she failed to see it. Her friends in Singapore would often take selcas with Suzanna without her glasses and proudly show them to others.

Suzanna walked a few blocks and entered the internet café once she found it. She had seen a ‘Midnight Circus’ poster stuck on the window and gamely went in.

She walked to the counter to register herself a computer for a few hours.

“Jeogiyo…~” Suzanna said while patiently waiting to be attended to.

Hoya’s POV

“Hello, welcome to Game On! How may I help you?” I turned and bowed to the customer. Gosh, what was a pretty girl like her doing in an internet café that specializes in online gaming..?

“Oh hey…Hoya sunbae..?” The pretty girl addressed me formally.

“Eh…do I know you..?” I slightly squinted, hoping to recognize her.

“Oh, it’s okay if you don’t recognize me, I’m Suzanna…haha…” She bit her lip and looked down.

“Ah jongmal?! You’re not kidding, right..? Suzanna wears glasses though…” I stepped back and stared hard at her face, my head tilted.

“I am still Suzanna, Hoya sunbae~! I just wear my glasses to school because I’m slightly short-sighted and I sit at the back of class for most of my lessons. Other than that, I don’t really need my glasses that much…^^ By the way, you work here..?”

“Ah, I see…oh and my dad owns the place so I sorta have to help out, like it or not…~ Anyways, how can I help you~?”

“Oh, cool…^^ And can I get a computer with a speedy internet connection, please~? Hmm, for about, three hours?” Suzanna said after looking at the clock.

“Sure, just sign here, and you could pay at the end of your session but don’t tell anyone else, okay? Just because you’re my friend~ Kekeke~^^”

“Oh, thanks a lot, then, Hoya sunbae~” She slightly bowed and headed towards her computer after filling up her details in the log book.

Hmm, what could she possibly be doing at an internet café..?

Suzanna’s POV

Woo hoo~ Midnight Circus here I come~ I made myself comfortable in the big, black office chair and turned the computer on. I looked around the place while waiting for my computer to start up.

It was pretty good. The interior design was simple, giving off a nice and cosy feel. They had a snack bar in a corner, too, in case you got too hungry from gaming too hardcore :P

Oh yay~ The computer’s fully warmed up~ Time to sign in now~^^

Wah~ I seriously miss playing this so badly! Oh, this cute background music, and my lovely virtual friends, top it all off with my extremely pretty character, this couldn’t get any better~^^

I cracked a smile without realizing it. LadyHaHa, my alter ego was staring back at me.

But that was all just a dream. That was what I loved about Midnight Circus. It was where I could forget all my worries and live my wildest fantasies.
