What if fate was given to you? Would you follow or defy?

It is year 9013 and everyone nowadays is getting a sign. The signs are one-of-a-kind symbols tattooed onto the side of your ring finger; unique for every person except for one other human being in the world... your soulmate.

Hyun-Ae's life is pretty y... she lives in a shabby roof-top apartment alone with only her drunken, abusive mom for company after her dad went AWOL and her older sister got pregnant and left to go live with her perfect husband. She believes that the only thing to look forward to is her soulmate who will (hopefully) sweep her off her feet and take her away. But while she waits, she attends her last year at the prestigious Yongsan International School of Seoul. 

Hyun-Ae only has one friend, and his name is Sehun. Sehun, son of a rich bubble tea shop owner, has known Hyun-Ae (almost) her whole life, finding out about her "problems" the hard way. Since then he has always been there for her supporting her, and knowing exactly how to cheer her up and make her forget, for a little bit, about how bad her life is getting.

And the thing is... it's getting worst after she finds out that Xiumin (the most popular guy at her school who doesn't even know of her existance) is supposedly her soulmate... Way to ruin her happily ever after...

Meanwhile...

Xiumin lives the life of an ice prince along with his friends: Tao, Kai, Baekhyun, and Luhan, they rule YISS. All girls want to date them and all the guys want to be seen with them. Xiumin is quite the playboy and is well known for picking up girls one day and dropping them the next not believing the sign that was given to him the day he was born. But when he meets Hyun-Ae by pure coincidence... he feels... nothing...not even an ounce of interest... to him she's just some commoner that was pulled from a nearby dumpster and is totally not his type... but maybe....just maybe... she's not all that meets the eye...
