LOG 22
The Classified Accounts of Ami HwangA/N: I've updated several times today, so make sure you go back and read the last chapter!
Sunlight dapples through the filmy blue curtains of the bedroom, casting circular light spots on the walls. The briny scent of the sea, mixed with the fresh smell of the sheets, envelops the room, million times better than any air freshener.
Through my hazy consciousness, I can feel a two large hands slide down my bare torso, running over my skin. A sigh of pleasure escapes from my lips and I snuggle closer into the warm figure enveloping me.
The hands come to rest right under my ribs. They gently trace patterns with their fingers...
And then proceed to tickle me as hard as they can.
“What the hell, Jungkook?” I screech, shooting up. “How many times are you going to do that?”
“It gets funnier and funnier every time I do it!” Jungkook sputters through his uncontrollable laughter. “The look on your face-,”
“Shut up, !” I repeatedly beat him with a pillow until he shouts, “Okay! Sorry! I won’t do it anymore!”
“Oh my god,” I huff, crossing my arms. “You’re so immature.”
“But you love me,” he grins, snaking his arms around my waist and pulling me back down. I roll my eyes, blushing nevertheless.
“We have to go to work,” I mumble as Jungkook nuzzles his face in my neck.
“We work from home,” he reminds me.
“Still. And there are so many things we have to get done. We’re getting married in a month, you know. We have to talk to the caterer and get the flower arrangements ready and coordinate the-,”
“Okay, fine.” Jungkook sits up. “Just for our wedding. Mrs. Jeon.”
“The future Mrs. Jeon,” I grin. “And I can’t wait.”
“Oh, I forgot to tell you- I sent out the formal invitations yesterday. All of BTS said they’d come. Wait, but get this- Yoongi wanted to know if Lina’s coming.”
My eyebrows shoot up. “Why?”
Jungkook gives me a knowing look. “Why do you think?”
I bite my lip. “I don’t know, Jungkook. Is that really a good idea?”
He pauses. “It’s been two years, Ami. I think Yoongi wants to make amends... nothing more. We’ll see.”
I exhale. “Okay. We’ll see. I mean, yes, Lina is coming. That's a given, along with Preet and his girlfriend, and Anna and Sehun, of course. But I’ll talk to Lina about Yoongi.”
Jungkook grabs his phone from the nightstand. “Oh, and EXO and Seventeen just said they’re all coming, too. Wow. Everyone wants to come to our wedding.”
“Or, everyone wants to come to France.”
He chuckles. “Always a cynic.”
“Hey, I’m being serious! We live in the best village in the world. Colmar is perfect, and I can’t wait until we can show everyone around.”
A soft look appears in Jungkook’s eyes, and he nests my head under his.
“We’ve done it,” he whispers. “We’re living our dreams.”
“We both deserve it. After all we’ve been through.” I murmur.
“I know.” Jungkook lets out a long sigh. We sit in each other’s comfort, reminiscing on the bliss these past years have been.
“I love you, Jungkook,” I say quietly.
“I love you, too,” he murmurs, kissing my cheek.
And I close my eyes and tip my head back.
Everything is right. Everything is just the way I dreamed it would be.
Everything is perfect.
