Lunch time arrives, the sleeping people and the bored ones suddenly gained energy. Chattering can be heard on every corner of the school corridor. Irene linked arms with Seulgi.

“Where we eating?” she was about to drag her out the room when Mino suddenly put his hands in the door not allowing them to pass through. “What?” Irene said with one of her eyebrows raised.

“I need to talk to you”

“Me?” The pink-haired got taken aback by Mino’s sudden announcement, but Mino’s eyes were focused on Seulgi. Irene realized and suddenly looked towards the two simultaneously “Oh..”

“Why?” Seulgi said stoically “There’s nothing to talk about, let’s go! Cafeteria’s decent here unlike three years ago...” They crouched to go under Mino’s arm, and he was left dumbfounded.

“Cut it bro”

“What?”

“She does not want to talk about it.” Taehyun said while patting his back. “She does not want you anymore.”

He did not respond but he glared at his bestfriend making the latter laugh out loud. “Motherer!” He slapped the back of his head and ran out the room.

“Hey! Song Mino, you ! Come back here!”

“Show me around!”

“I’m new too y’know”

“But you studied elementary and middle school here.”

“Okay fine”

“Take me somewhere quiet”

“Okay let’s go”

Joy and Yeri decided to ditch the people and went on by themselves. Joy was a happy person but she was a person who enjoys a quiet and alone time. Her favourite spot was the fire exit stairs particularly on the 4th floor of the southeast side of the building. She dragged Yeri into her ‘secret place’ even Wendy nor Irene knows of.

“Hey! You’re lucky y’know”

“Why?”

“Because you’re the first person I brought here” Joy declared smiling. “It’s my little paradise.” She pointed towards the balcony where you can see a perfect view of the school’s greenhouse where flowers grow and other plants can be seen. “I never bring people here, it’s my sanctuary.” She did not know why and she can’t point out why her heart feels comfortable with this stranger. Hell, she was even holding hands with her and swinging it gleefully on the corridor as if they were the best of friends. She was leaning on the ledge and Yeri was beside her leaning as well, elbows brushing together.

“I’m honoured to be the first one to be here.” Yeri announced, Joy looked at her, their face inches away, the taller girl felt as if adrenaline was flowing through her body, her heart was pounding, it was exciting, she does not know why but she feels excited. Yeri leaned in and pecked her lips. “I hope that’s a first too.”
