While putting Haneul to sleep, Jieun heard the doorbell rang, she left the peacefully sleeping haneul to check who visited them at this hour. She peeked at the door’s peeping hole, it was Jongin. Not sure whether to open the door or not but considering that maybe he has some important things to discuss, she chose to let him in.

Jieun welcomed Jongin inside as he greeted her with a small smile, eyes searching for something, probably haneul.

“He’s sleeping already” She said as jongin meekly nodded. He was guided to sit on the sofa as jieun silently went to the kitchen

“Is there anything you want to drink” she peeked through the kitchen’s door

“Anything would be fine” He answered as jieun nodded

After a few seconds, jieun went out of the kitchen with a glass of juice. She sat opposite to jongin as she offered what she brought to him.

“Why are you here?” she asked suddenly/ Jongin was taken aback. There was a few seconds pause before he answered

“I need answers Jieun” He seriously blurted as he stares at her intensely

“Being Haneul’s father, I can give that to you, but marrying me? I’m not sure jongin…” she replied as she looked down

“We can give it a try”

“It’s just…. Impossible”

“For Haneul, for us”

There’s no more us jongin” she said. He was shocked by what she just said. But he realized that it’s actually true, but then again something’s telling him that marrying her is the right thing to do. Jongin sighed. Jieun looked at him, she noticed the disappointment on his face

“I want to be Haneul’s legal parent, and that’s my final stand on this” jongin blurted pulling his last straw. Little did he know, jieun was hurt because of his response.

“I need answers now jieun” he said

“I don’t know jongin, I don’t know”

“Live me with for a few weeks, if it doesn’t work, I won’t force you anymore”

“That’s too sudden”

“That or I’ll take legal actions for Haneul’s custody” He firmly replied. Jieun was scared, too scared

“You can’t take my child from me”

“He’s also MY CHILD!” Jongin replied. She was shocked, never had she heard jongin speaking this way. The authority and firmness of his words lingers on Jieun’s mind.

Jieun was about to answer when she heard Haneul calling for her. Their argument must’ve woken haneul up. Their expressions soften when Haneul went out of their room. He hurriedly hugged Jieun as she picked him up, snuggling at her neck, he was ready to go back to sleep
